But today’s star of the video is a bit different from our previous reviews. MIFO O5 Gen 2 is an earbud designed for a young audience. So how does it differ from other earbuds?

When you first look at it, you’ll know why it’s different. Unlike other earbuds that are made of plastic, the MIFO O5 Gen 2‘s case features an all-metal design.  In terms of durability, the frosted metal case is way better than the traditional plastic build, and you no longer have to worry about your keys scratching the case.

The lid has a tight fit, and the finish is as smooth as a piece of soap in your hand. The MIFO O5 Gen 2 case has a built-in 2600mAh battery, and also comes with an adapter that allows users to reverse-charge their phones. If you don’t want to carry around a power bank but want to charge your device on the go, a short USB-C to C charging cable and the MIFO O5 Gen 2 case is enough to keep your phone charged for the entire day.

It also has a different way of opening the lid. You definitely cannot open it with one hand, you must force it open with both hands from the recess. The hinge is not magnetic but features a two-part hinge. In addition, it is large and weighs twice as much as a normal earbud case. This design is obviously not as portable as other earbud cases. But this MIFO case is clearly design-oriented to make it look better and more personal. And the O5 Gen2 does manage to stand out from most Bluetooth earbuds. After all, there are just too many cookie-cutter earbuds out there.

The shape of the earbuds is also relatively rare, with a small tail. There are two dots on the small tail, red and blue, which can be used to distinguish between the left and right earbuds. The operation method is touch, you can control the volume and play the previous song or the next song. The earbuds themselves support IP67, and the head of the earbud also has a certain tilt angle, which enables a stable and fixed fit on the ear, making it a great earbud for outdoor activities as well.

The MIFO O5 Gen 2 comes with aptX audio protocol. The sound quality should be theoretically better than SBC-only earbuds. And the O5 Gen2 performs very well in real life too. When it comes to both high and low frequencies, it is one of those earbuds that allows you to listen to any type of song. Because it does not have an exclusive APP, so if you need to adjust the EQ, you need to download the music app to adjust it yourself.

Earbud battery life is also one of the selling points of the MIFO O5 Gen 2. It can last up to 10 hours on a single charge. As I mentioned earlier, the earbud case has a 2600mAh battery that is the equivalent of a small Power Bank. With the earbud case, you can get over 150 hours of battery life, which means you can use them for a week without recharging, which is very impressive.

The MIFO O5 Gen 2 takes a completely different path than other earbuds. Its unique design, the way it opens, its extra-large battery, are the things that other earbuds don’t provide. It may not be the perfect earbuds, but it is one of the most unique earbuds you can get at this under $100 price point.
