Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has unveiled the MIJIA Smart Curtain 2 in China. The new Xiaomi MIJIA Smart Curtain 2 comes with several improvements over its predecessor and can now be pre-ordered. It supports multiple control methods for opening and closing the gadget.

Features

The smart curtain can be controlled using the XiaoAI, MIJIA app, timer switch, and wireless remote control. Therefore the user does not need to manually pull up the curtain but rather will use any of the control methods. In the absence of a power supply, however, the Smart Curtain 2 can be manually closed or opened.

The MIJIA Smart Curtain 2 is designed for enhanced noise reduction and shock absorption. Its motor can drive curtains that are up to 60kg while still operating at low noise less than 26 decibels. The smart curtain supports custom opening and closing ratio, stepless speed regulation, and hand-pull adaptive speed regulation. It supports one-way opening and closing, two-way opening and closing, single-track installation, double-track installation, and top and side installation. Installation is not supported for L-shaped, or U-shaped tracks.

The Xiaomi MIJIA Smart Curtain 2 comes with different modes. Users can set the curtain to wake-up mode, sleep mode, movie-viewing mode, and home mode. The design adopted for the MIJIA Smart Curtain 2 allows for its easy installation. Its design eliminates the need for on-site measurements and delays in installation.

The Xiaomi MIJIA Smart Curtain 2 is on presale and is available from Xiaomi Youpin, Xiaomi Mall, and other retail platforms. It carries a retail price of 849 yuan ($117).
