Xiaomi‘s smart home continues to expand its product offering with the launch of the MIJIA Smart Switch Zero Fire Edition. The product is a slight upgrade of the MIJIA Smart Switch that was launched last year.  This new edition comes with a slightly higher 89 yuan price tag and will go on sale under crowdfunding at 10 am on March 23.

According to Xiaomi’s official introduction, the MIJIA Smart Switch Zero Fire Edition has three major selling points. The first is the smart control of ordinary lights and multiple control methods. The smart gadget also provides rich intelligent linkage scenes and the product build is of top quality.

With the MIJIA Smart Switch Zero Fire Edition, users can easily and intelligently control a variety of lamps, including chandeliers, fluorescent lamps, spotlights, wall lamps, ceiling lamps, light sticks, etc., with a maximum power of 2200W.

The device also comes with XiaoAI voice control support which makes it easy to turn off a particular light without pressing any button. Users can rename the lights any name they want and when the XiaoAI speaker is linked, they can turn on/off the light with a few words.

The Xiaomi Smart Switch Zero Fire Edition can also be linked to the human body sensor so that the lights are switched on and off when no human is detected. It can also be linked to the projector, the lights and curtains are automatically closed; linked to the smart door lock, the lights and curtains are automatically opened at home. It also has a power/power statistics function, and the daily/monthly power usage is clear at a glance.

In terms of durability, Xiaomi claims that the switch has undergone 80,000 repeated pressing tests, and is V0 fire-resistant and flame-retardant. It uses a lot of materials, and the terminals are made of brass and gold-plated.
