Xiaomi has just unveiled a new addition to its smart home ecosystem. The latest product is the Miia Washing Machine & Dryer that arrives with AI powered features and HyperOS connectivity. So here’s what you need to know about this smart home appliance.

Xiaomi Introduces Mijia AI Washing Machine

Back in May 2025, the Chinese tech giant unveiled the Mijia Washing Machine Pro Blue Oxygen 10kg series in China, so the latest Mijia Washing Machine & Dryer is a higher end model thanks to a larger 12kg load capacity. It can wash loads of up to 12kg, with a built-in dryer capable of drying clothes of up to 9kg. Xiaomi claims that the latest Mijia Washing Machine offers a 99.99% sterilization rate and completely removes any kind of mites.

Xiaomi also packs this model with a sensor that can automatically stop the dryer to save power. There is also support for various kinds of washing and drying modes as well. Notably, it comes with an AI laundry assist that can smartly detect cycles based on your everyday habits. This is paired with HyperOS Connect that allows for direct controls from the app, support for OTA updates, and XiaoAI voice assistant support.

As of right now, the Xiaomi Mijia Washing Machine & Dryer is listed for purchase in China for a 2,299 yuan price tag (roughly 320 US Dollars). It is unclear if the brand plans on releasing this smart home product in the global market later on, so stay tuned for more. Xiaomi has just teased a new MIJIA product. The new product is a smart washing machine, which features a front facing door. The company shared an image poster of the product in a social media post on Weibo, a Chinese microblogging website.

As per the image poster, we can observe the design of the new washing machine. The home appliance features a minimalistic design with a single dominating color scheme, namely gray. Since the image poster offers us a full look at the front of the device, we can see the front facing door, along with a few buttons on the upper regions. Notably, the upcoming MIJIA washing machine has a capacity of 10 kilograms.

The teaser also adds that the new product aims to offer convenience to its users in washing their clothes. Unfortunately, the finer details regarding the product is currently unknown. Furthermore, its pricing is also unknown as of right now. Although, what is known is the Chinese tech giant has announced that its pre orders will be available starting from the 25th of March 2021. Xiaomi has taken to Weibo to announced that the company will be launching its new Smart Home Appliance on 1st September, i.e. tomorrow. The Chinese company is all set to launch a high-end Washing Machine & Dryer.

Making the announcement, the company said that the new MIJIA high-end washer and dryer will be quieter, more stable, and more surging. It adds that the user experience will be better and worth looking forward to.

Prior to this, in April this year, the company had launched the MIJIA Internet Washing Machine and Dryer 1C for a price of 2099 yuan (~$295) and is now on sale in China. It is an upgrade over the MIJIA Internet Washing Machine and Dryer Pro launched last year.

It comes with 10kg capacity and a display that is made from tempered glass. It also has support for XiaoAI smart voice assistant. The model has a compact build, with a door diameter of 468mm and comes with a cycle power of 0.873 kWh.

The washing machine supports up to 22 different washing modes, including smart air washing. The appliance can be controlled through the MIJIA app with options to select washing and drying modes and make custom adjustments.

There are also reports indicating that Xiaomi is planning to launch a wide range of smart home products in the Indian market this year, including a smart refrigerator and a washing machine. The report indicates Q4 2020 as the launch timeframe but the exact month or date is not yet known.

Xiaomi Smart Home Appliances division MIJIA has announced that it will release two new washing machines on May 25. This news comes just a day after MIJIA announced it would release three new refrigerator models same date The gadgets will be called MIJIA Automatic Pulsator Washing Machine 5.5kg and MIJIA Automatic Pulsator Washing Machine 3kg.

This won’t be the first washing machines under the MIJIA brand. Xiaomi had launched the MIJIA Washing Machine and Dryer Pro last year and added the MIJIA Washing Machine and Dryer 1C in April 2020. Redmi has also got the top-loader Redmi 1A Washing Machine.

From the preview posters, the models will come with a top loader design which makes them the first MIJIA-branded washing machines with a top loader design. The washing machines are portable devices as they come in 5.5kg capacity and 3kg capacity respectively. This is smaller than the 8kg capacity of the Redmi 1A Washing Machine. The smaller 3kg version is said to also feature a high-temperature sterilization function, which seems to be specially designed for baby clothes that require sterilization. The prices of the washing machine are yet to be revealed but we expect them to be priced between 499 yuan (~$70) and 599 yuan (~$84) since the Redmi 1A retails for 799 yuan (~$112).
