The strap will feature a quick-release button, which should be similar to what we&#8217;ve seen on Huami&#8217;s Amazfit smartwatch lineup. This new information was revealed by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi">Xiaomi&#8217;s</a> VP, Heng Qu, who also revealed four different strap color options for the device.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Xiaomi-Mi-Watch-straps.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-286703" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Xiaomi-Mi-Watch-straps.jpg?x10805" alt="Xiaomi Mi Watch straps" width="690" height="447" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Xiaomi-Mi-Watch-straps.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Xiaomi-Mi-Watch-straps-300x194.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Xiaomi-Mi-Watch-straps-648x420.jpg 648w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></a>The Mi Watch will come with at least four different strap color options at launch. There&#8217;ll be a Blue, White, Grey, and a Black one. We can also see that the buckle will feature the &#8216;MI&#8217; branding.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/xiaoAi-mi-smartwatch.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-286702" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/xiaoAi-mi-smartwatch.jpg?x10805" alt="xiaoAi mi smartwatch" width="690" height="920" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/xiaoAi-mi-smartwatch.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/xiaoAi-mi-smartwatch-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/xiaoAi-mi-smartwatch-315x420.jpg 315w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></a></p>
<h6 class="related"><strong>Editor&#8217;s Pick: <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/10/29/huamis-amazfit-gtr-47mm-iron-man-limited-edition-is-discounted-for-11-11-sale-in-china/">Huami&#8217;s Amazfit GTR 47mm Iron Man Limited Edition is discounted for 11/11 sale in China</a></strong></h6>
<p>The company also confirmed that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/mi-watch">Mi Watch</a> will come with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/XiaoAI">XiaoAI</a> smart assistant. Huami&#8217;s smartwatches from the Amazfit series have featured XiaoAI, so this is not a surprising move. However, what&#8217;s interesting is that Xiaomi will offer three methods to activate the XiaoAI assistant on the watch. You can either long-press the crown or access the XiaoAI button from the screen or even activate it via voice (you&#8217;ll have to raise your wrist to turn on the screen first).</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Xiaomi-Mi-Smartwatch.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-286705" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Xiaomi-Mi-Smartwatch.jpg?x10805" alt="Xiaomi Mi Smartwatch" width="690" height="388" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Xiaomi-Mi-Smartwatch.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Xiaomi-Mi-Smartwatch-300x169.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></a></p>
<p>The Mi Watch will come with an <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/MIUI">MIUI</a> for Watch OS. Given that Xiaomi is investing in a dedicated Watch OS along with its own app store, we can expect more smartwatches in the future. Inside, the Mi Watch will come with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/10/29/xiaomis-upcoming-smartwatch-to-feature-snapdragon-3100-chipset-confirms-teaser/">Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor</a> with connectivity options such as <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/10/29/this-is-the-xiaomi-smartwatch-its-heavily-inspired-by-the-apple-watch/">Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, and even an eSIM</a>. The watch is confirmed to feature speakers which means you should be able to make and receive calls on the watch, just like a smartphone.</p>

<p>MIUI for Watch is said to be an open ecosystem that incorporates <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/MIUI">MIUI</a> into wearables. The operating system will have a dedicated app store with several of the apps you use every day including maps, AliPay, QQ, and even TikTok. There will also be music streaming apps and several watch faces available.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-286470" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/MIUI-for-Watch-b.jpg?x10805" alt="MIUI for Watch store" width="690" height="920" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/MIUI-for-Watch-b.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/MIUI-for-Watch-b-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/MIUI-for-Watch-b-315x420.jpg 315w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></p>
<p>Xiaomi has released two videos showing the OS in action. One of the videos even shows a video streaming app in use. We wonder why anyone will want to watch a video on a display that small.</p>
<div style="width: 640px;" class="wp-video"><!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('video');</script><![endif]-->
<video class="wp-video-shortcode" id="video-286463-1" width="640" height="358" preload="metadata" controls="controls"><source type="video/mp4" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/MIUI-for-Watch.mp4?_=1" /><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/MIUI-for-Watch.mp4">https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/MIUI-for-Watch.mp4</a></video></div>
<p>MIUI for Watch will be officially unveiled on November 5 alongside the Xiaomi Watch and the Mi CC9 Pro. We should know more about the operating system on that day and what advantages it has over WearOS.</p>
<div style="width: 696px;" class="wp-video"><video class="wp-video-shortcode" id="video-286463-2" width="696" height="392" preload="metadata" controls="controls"><source type="video/mp4" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/MIUI-for-Watch-2.mp4?_=2" /><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/MIUI-for-Watch-2.mp4">https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/MIUI-for-Watch-2.mp4</a></video></div>
<p>The Xiaomi Watch will be powered by the Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor. It is a 28nm quad-core processor with four Cortex-A7 cores clocked at 1.2GHz. We believe Xiaomi must have greatly optimized MIUI for Watch to run on the chipset.</p>
