However, it’s not without justification: AMD claims that its new chip can outperform the RTX 4080 by 7% in average frame rates. For instance, in games like Starfield, AMD says their chip could provide a 27% better performance.

AMD’s FSR 3 (FidelityFX Super Resolution) upscaling technology promises to give a significant FPS boost in games, making it a practical choice for gamers who don’t want to compromise on performance. Although the chip falls a bit short in ray-traced games against NVIDIA’s offering, it excels in rasterized games.

Adding to its catalogue, AMD has teamed up with Alienware to integrate the RX 7900M and its Ryzen 9 7945HX processor into the upcoming m18 laptop. This machine is not just about the specs, but also about creating an ecosystem where each component complements the other. The m18 laptop, featuring an 18-inch QHD+ display and up to 64GB of RAM, is expected to hit the market in the last quarter of 2023.
