The Chinese brand’s Earbuds ANC weighs just 5 grams each and is targeted for those that are looking for some top notch specs at a budget. The earbuds promise to deliver high quality audio playback, while also offering a great voice call experience as well, thanks to its built in microphones, which also support the Tico voice assistant for hands free control. It also features an Apple AirPods like stem design and houses 13mm drivers on both earbuds.

According to Mobvoi, “Our latest active noise cancelling earbuds provide advanced noise cancellation technology, intuitive smart controls using both voice and tap, and long lasting comfort to deliver a rich and immersive listening experience.”

With  having 2 mics per bud, the earphones also support Active Noise Cancellation as well. Furthermore, the Earbuds ANC supports touch controls for audio playback, along with some voice controls from Tico. A lot of us know Mobvoi as the brand behind the TicWatch line of smartwatches and TicPods TWS earbuds. Last month they announced the TicKasa ANC Headphones, and back in June, they announced the TicPods ANC. Yesterday, Mobvoi issued a statement on Twitter saying the two products will now go by new names.

According to the tweet, the headphones will now be known as the Mobvoi Headphones ANC while the earbuds will be called the Mobvoi Earbuds ANC. If you are wondering why the change of name, the manufacturer said the new names “are more compatible with our business strategy and brand identity”.

BIG NEWS: We are changing the name of our active noise-cancelling headphones and earbuds. The new product name #MobvoiHeadphonesANC and #MobvoiEarbudsANC are more compatible with our business strategy and brand identity. The name change shows that Mobvoi has dropped the TicKasa and TicPods name. We are actually more concerned about the latter as it is like a household name for its earbuds. We want to believe future products will also not have TicPods in their names.

Mobvoi says the change in name will not affect or delay current orders of these two products. At the moment, both products still go by their old names on Mobvoi’s website. We also want to believe the current stock of the two products that will be shipping to buyers will have the old name.
