In April 2021, Chinese smart wearables manufacturer, Mobvoi unveiled the TicWatch GTH smartwatch to the global audience for $95.99, much higher than the $46 it debuted in China. The smart wearable device features 24-hour health monitoring through its various sensors, including its innovative skin temperature sensor. The smartwatch also had a 260mAh battery that offers up to 10 days of battery life.

Mobvoi has now extended its reach to the Indian market with the launch of the TicWatch GTH. The smartwatch comes with 14 Sports Modes and customizable Watch Faces. The Mobvoi TicWatch GTH has a rectangular dial, with a 1.55-inch touchscreen TFT LED display and a single button on the right for navigation. It runs on the Real-Time Operating System (RTOS), unlike several TicWatch models that run on Google’s Wear OS.

Mobvoi is collaborating with researchers from Carnegie Mellon University on early tracking of COVID-19 symptoms using the TicWatch GTH smartwatch. This reflects the increasing importance of smart wearables as fundamental health and fitness tools.

The TicWatch GTH smartwatch comes with several important sensors that provide 24-hour real-time monitoring of fundamental body functions like heart rate, blood oxygen levels, respiration rate, and skin temperature. It can also identify elevated stress levels of its user. The TicWatch GTH will be affordable to a wider audience in India with its Rs. 4,799 price tag and extensive functionality. The 14 sport modes allow the user to log exercise data across several indoor and outdoor sports activities. These include running, swimming, walking, gymnastics, basketball, football, and mountain climbing.

The TicWatch GTH smartwatch has Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, through which it can control several activities on your smartphone, including playing music, showing notifications, alarms, reminders, and so on. The TicWatch GTH smart wearable is presently available in India via Amazon.in at the budget-friendly price of Rs. 4,799 (~$64) will swell the ranks of users of the device in India.
