Motorola has confirmed that the Edge 60 smartphone will launch in India on June 10. The phone was introduced globally in April alongside the Edge 60 Pro. The Indian version comes with a few upgrades.

It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor, compared to the Dimensity 7300 used in the global model. The phone also has a larger 5500mAh battery.

The Edge 60 will be sold in India in a single 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. It will be available in two Pantone colour options: Gibraltar Sea with a nylon-like finish and Shamrock with a leather-like finish. Buyers can get it on Flipkart, Motorola’s website, and in offline stores.

Motorola Edge 60 specifications

The phone has a 6.67-inch 1.5K (2712 x 1220 pixels) pOLED display with 10-bit colour, 120Hz refresh rate, up to 4500 nits brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

It runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 4nm octa-core processor (up to 2.6GHz) with Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. It comes with 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage, expandable up to 1TB via microSD card. Out of the box, it runs Android 15 and supports Dual SIM. Motorola promises 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates.

The phone has a triple rear camera setup: a 50MP main camera (Sony LYTIA 700C sensor, f/1.8, OIS), a 50MP ultra-wide camera (f/2.0, macro support), and a 10MP 3x telephoto camera (f/2.0) with 30x Super Zoom. It supports up to 4K 30fps video recording. The front has a 50MP selfie camera with up to 4K 30fps video.

Other features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, USB Type-C audio, IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance, military-grade durability (MIL-STD-810H), 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and a USB Type-C port. The 5500mAh battery supports 68W TurboPower fast charging.

Ahead of the event, tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks) has shared what appears to be press images and infographics of the Motorola Edge 60 via a post on X.

As per the images shared by Evab Blass, the Motorola Edge 60 will feature a 6.7-inch curved pOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It will opt for MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 chipset, contrary to earlier reports that hinted at the Dimensity 7400.

Camera hardware will include a 50MP main rear sensor using Sony’s LYTIA 700C with OIS, accompanied by an ultra-wide lens and a 3x telephoto camera. On the front, users will get a 50MP selfie camera. The device is set to offer 12GB of physical RAM, with an additional 12GB of virtual RAM, and 512GB of internal storage.

Battery capacity sees a slight bump from the predecessor’s 5000mAh to 5200mAh, with support for 68W Turbo charging retained. The phone is also built to be durable, coming with MIL-STD-810H certification and expected IP69 water and dust resistance.

The leak has not revealed the official pricing yet, but it will be announced at the launch event.

The two smartphones were spotted on China’s TENAA database carrying the XT2505-4 model number (Edge 60) and XT2507-5 (Edge 60 Pro). The TENAA certification typically lists the images of the devices as well as most of their key specifications. So ahead of the launch, we have more concrete information about both these devices. The Edge 60 just surfaced in a leak that revealed its color options and design, and this listing confirms the Blue color option.

Meanwhile, the Edge 60 Pro can be seen with a similar design but in a Gray variant. Looking at the TENAA database, both models sport a 6.67-inch curved OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and an in display fingerprint scanner. The news comes from reliable tipster Evan Blass. Shared on the X platform, the rendering of the phone reveals a dedicated slot for the stylus and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Moto Edge 60 to offer a built in stylus

Unlike the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1-powered Motorola Edge+ (2022), this Edge 60 Stylus will also include a slot for the stylus, and users won’t have to buy it separately. The stylus slot is conveniently located at the bottom of the device. The company previously released the budget-friendly Moto G Stylus 4G in 2023 and a 5G version of it last year, both of which include a slot for the stylus.

The phone is estimated to cost $500, which means Motorola is aiming to bring premium stylus functionality to a broader audience.

According to the source, the Edge 60 Stylus will pack 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage. The device have blue and green color options.
