Motorola is expanding its budget lineup with the launch of the Moto G06 Power and the Moto G06. The highlight here is the massive 7,000mAh battery on the G06 Power, while the regular G06 offers a still-respectable 5,200mAh pack. Both models feature smooth 120Hz displays and come in bright, eye-catching colors, and more.

Moto G06 Power & Moto G06 Debut

The two new budget phones from the brand are nearly identical. Both models sport a tall 6.88-inch LCD panel with an HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 600 nits of peak brightness, and Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood, these are equipped with the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra SoC, which only supports 4G connectivity. This is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage that can be further expanded by up to 1TB via a microSD card slot.

For photography, you get a 50MP camera on the rear, while the front houses an 8MP selfie shooter. The Moto G06 Power packs a massive 7,000mAh battery pack with 18W wired fast charging, while the standard Moto G06 gets a sizeable 5,200mAh cell with standard 10W charging speed. Other notable features include an IP64 rating for water and dust resistance, NFC, Bluetooth 6, dual band WiFi, a side mounted fingerprint scanner, Android 15 OS, and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

The Moto G06 Power is available in PANTONE Laurel Oak, PANTONE Tapestry, and PANTONE Tendril color options. On the other hand, the Moto G06 gets an additional PANTONE Arabesque variant. Pricing and availability details are still at large, but the first roll out will kick off in the European market with a 129.99 Euros starting price. This release also arrives Motorola’s other announcements, like the Moto Book 60 Pro and Moto Edge 60 Neo.

Motorola seems to be gearing up for another round of affordable smartphones, and the next one on the list could be the Moto G06. The device has surfaced in an extensive leak via XpertPick, revealing everything from its design to specs. So here’s what it offers.

Moto G06 Specifications

The Moto G06 is rumored to come with a 6.88-inch LCD screen with a waterdrop notch. The device has an HD+ resolution and a fairly modest 260ppi pixel density, but the big surprise here is a 120Hz refresh rate. Its predecessor, the Moto G05, offers a 90Hz refresh rate. 

Inside, the G06 is said to run on the MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM. Storage options are reportedly 64GB or 256GB. A 5,200mAh battery should keep things running for a while, though charging will reportedly top out at a slow 10W.

For cameras, Motorola may be packing in a 50-megapixel main shooter with autofocus, along with a flicker sensor for better lighting accuracy. On the front, users will get an 8-megapixel selfie camera. 

Security-wise, the G06 will rely on a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The phone is also expected to ship with Android 15 right out of the box.

In terms of design, the Moto G06 has a slim 8.31mm profile and a 194-gram weight. The device will reportedly come in Pantone-certified shades: Tapestry, Arabesque, and Tendril.

As for pricing, the Moto G06 is rumored to land at €119 for the 4GB/64GB model and €169 for the 4GB/256GB version. There’s no word yet on when or where Motorola will first launch the device, but we will be sure to keep you updated on that as soon as we hear more.

Motorola’s next budget phone might be just around the corner. A leak from tech publication XpertPick has revealed the upcoming Moto G06 ahead of its official debut, thanks to a listing spotted on a European retailer’s website.

According to the listing from Italian retailer Epto, the Moto G06 will come in two configurations: 4GB of RAM paired with either 64GB or 256GB of storage. The base model is priced at €122.90, while the higher-capacity version will retail for €169.90. 

Moto G06 brings Pantone-certified colors

As for the color options, Motorola is teaming up with Pantone again to offer some striking design options. The phone will reportedly be available in Arabesque (a soft lavender), Tapestry (a warm rose hue), and Tendril (a fresh green tone) shades. For a phone at this price point, Pantone-certified colorways are a rare design flex.

While the listing doesn’t reveal other specs, we can look to last year’s Moto G05 for some clues. That model featured a 6.67-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate, the Helio G81 Extreme chipset, and a 5,200mAh battery with 18W charging. 

It also packed a 50MP main camera, an 8MP front camera, and staples like a side-mounted fingerprint reader, microSD card slot, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Whether the G06 sticks with a similar formula or brings upgrades is still unclear, but the early leak suggests Motorola is sticking to its budget-friendly strategy, with a focus on storage and aesthetics.
