<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/motorola/">Motorola</a> is gearing up to launch the Moto G15 globally, and ahead of its official unveiling, the complete specifications of the device have been revealed. Tipster Sudhanshu (via 91mobiles) has shared detailed information about the successor to the Moto G14. Positioned in the <strong>under-Rs 10,000 segment</strong>, the Moto G15 is expected to offer solid upgrades, especially in terms of performance, display, and camera.</p>

<h2>Leaked specifications of the Moto G15:</h2>

<p>The Moto G15 is rumored to feature a 6.72-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display, a notable upgrade over the 6.5-inch display on the Moto G14. The new display has a pixel density of 391ppi. For protection, the screen will have a Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and will offer 86.71% (up from 85.6%) screen-to-body ratio.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="781" height="439" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Moto-G15-render.jpg?x96852" alt="" class="wp-image-663758" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Moto-G15-render.jpg 781w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Moto-G15-render-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Moto-G15-render-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Moto-G15-render-696x391.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Moto-G15-render-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 781px) 100vw, 781px" /></figure>

<p>Under the hood, the Moto G15 will be powered by the <strong>MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra</strong> chipset, a significant upgrade over the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/motorola-moto-g14/">Moto G14</a>’s Unisoc T616 chipset. The device will be paired with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of internal storage, with a microSD card slot for further memory expansion. In contrast, the Moto G14 was limited to a single 4GB/128GB configuration.</p>

<p>For photography, the Moto G15 will pack a dual-camera setup on the rear. This includes a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, paired with a 5MP secondary lens with an f/2.4 aperture. There will also be an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies. Compared to its predecessor, the G15’s camera setup shows a significant improvement, especially with the inclusion of a 50MP main sensor.</p>

<p>The previously revealed <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/10/19/pocket-friendly-moto-g15-surfaces-on-geekbench/">Geekbench listing</a> of the device confirms the presence of Android 15 out of the box, providing users with the latest features and optimizations. As for the battery, the Moto G15 will feature a 5,200mAh battery, an upgrade from the 5,000mAh battery on the G14, and will support 18W TurboPower fast charging.</p>

<h2>What else to expect?</h2>

<p>The Moto G15 will also include a range of connectivity options including a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device will feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, an IP54 rating for splash resistance, and a vegan leather finish, adding a premium touch. The phone’s dimensions will measure 165.7 x 76 x 8.17 mm and weigh 190 grams, a slight reduction compared to the 177-gram Moto G14.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/motorola/">Motorola</a> is gearing up to expand its entry-level G-series lineup with the launch of two new smartphones, the Moto G05 and Moto G15. Expected to debut later this month or early next month, these devices aim to deliver a reasonable upgrade over their predecessors while maintaining a competitive price point. Notably, the Moto G15 and G05 will be the first Motorola phones to ship with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/11/15/motorola-confirms-android-15-for-more-devices-complete-list/">Android 15</a>, Google&#8217;s latest operating system, out-of-the-box.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="768" height="432" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Moto-G15-Render.webp?x96852" alt="" class="wp-image-661047" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Moto-G15-Render.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Moto-G15-Render-300x169.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Moto-G15-Render-696x392.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Moto-G15-Render-747x420.webp 747w" sizes="(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></figure>

<h2>Moto G05 and G15 renders reveal significant design improvement</h2>

<p>The design of the G15 and G05 bears a resemblance to Motorola’s recent models like the Moto G75, Edge 50 Neo, and ThinkPhone 25 and a notable improvement from the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/motorola-moto-g14/">Moto G14</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/motorola-moto-g04/">G04</a>. The back plate also appears to have a leather-like finish, adding up to the premium look.</p>

<p>As for the cameras, both phones will feature a 50MP primary camera paired with a secondary sensor, promising decent photography for budget-conscious users.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped">
<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="710" height="521" data-id="661048" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/moto-g04.jpg?x96852" alt="" class="wp-image-661048" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/moto-g04.jpg 710w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/moto-g04-300x220.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/moto-g04-696x511.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/moto-g04-572x420.jpg 572w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/moto-g04-80x60.jpg 80w" sizes="(max-width: 710px) 100vw, 710px" /><figcaption>Moto G04</figcaption></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="680" height="486" data-id="661049" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/moto-g14.jpg?x96852" alt="" class="wp-image-661049" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/moto-g14.jpg 680w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/moto-g14-300x214.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/moto-g14-588x420.jpg 588w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/moto-g14-100x70.jpg 100w" sizes="(max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px" /><figcaption>Moto G14</figcaption></figure>
</figure>

<p>In other aspects, the phones equip a punch-hole camera on the front and fingerprint on the right side. The Moto G15 will be available in Grey and Green shades and is confirmed to offer two RAM variants—4GB and 8GB—with up to 256GB of storage. Meanwhile, the Moto G05 will come in Orange, Grey, and Green colors, also offering storage options of 128GB and 256GB. While an 8GB RAM variant for the Moto G05 hasn’t been confirmed, it seems plausible considering its predecessor, the Moto G04, offered this option.</p>

<h2>What about the performance?</h2>

<p>The Moto G15 was recently <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/10/19/pocket-friendly-moto-g15-surfaces-on-geekbench/">spotted on Geekbench</a>, where it scored 340 in single-core and 1311 in multi-core tests. While these scores appear lower than the Moto G14 (447 and 1577 points), the difference could stem from using different versions of Geekbench. The Moto G15 Geekbench listing revealed a processor with a (6+2) core cluster and a base clock speed of 1.7GHz, paired with 4GB RAM.</p>

<p>To set expectations, the Moto G14 and Moto G04 are powered by the Unisoc T616 and Unisoc T606 processors respectively. Both phones pack a respectable 5000mAh battery. While the G14 offers a 6.5&#8243; FHD+ display, the more affordable G04 packs a slightly larger (6.56&#8243;) HD+ (720p) display.</p>

<p>Pricing is likely to remain aggressive, as the Moto G04 is currently available on Flipkart for only ₹7,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/motorola/">Motorola</a> appears to be preparing two new budget-friendly devices, the Moto G05 and Moto G15, to add to its popular G-series lineup. According to a report from 91mobiles, both smartphones will launch in Europe in the coming month, with the Moto G05 priced at EUR 140 for the 4GB + 128GB variant (around Rs 12,734) and EUR 170 for the 4GB + 256GB version (about Rs 15,460). Meanwhile, the Moto G15 will be available as an 8GB + 256GB model, costing EUR 200 (approximately Rs 18,190).</p>

<p>Although no information is yet available regarding the India launch, the European pricing suggests competitive entry-level options. The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/motorola-moto-g14/">Moto G14</a>, for example, launched in India earlier this year for Rs 9,999 (around EUR 110), so Motorola’s pricing strategy might be similarly budget-friendly.</p>

<h2>Performance and specifications of Moto G15</h2>

<p>In terms of performance, the Moto G15 recently appeared in a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/10/19/pocket-friendly-moto-g15-surfaces-on-geekbench/">Geekbench listing</a>, scoring 340 in single-core tests and 1311 in multi-core tests. This device is equipped with an octa-core processor featuring two performance cores clocked at 2.0GHz and six efficiency cores at 1.7GHz, along with a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. It also runs on Android 15.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="700" height="496" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Moto-G14.png?x96852" alt="Moto-G14" class="wp-image-655694" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Moto-G14.png 700w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Moto-G14-300x213.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Moto-G14-696x493.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Moto-G14-593x420.png 593w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Moto-G14-100x70.png 100w" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /><figcaption>Moto G14</figcaption></figure>

<p>Interestingly, the test device had only 4GB of RAM, while, according to the tipster, the retail model will feature double that capacity—potentially indicating higher performance.</p>

<p>In comparison, the Moto G14’s 8GB model scored 447 and 1577 in Geekbench single and multi-core tests, respectively. Powered by a Unisoc T616 chip, the G14’s performance specs highlight slight improvements, with two Cortex-A75 performance cores at 2.0 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 1.8 GHz.</p>

<p>The G15&#8217;s lower-than-expected score may also be due to it being tested on Geekbench 5 rather than Geekbench 6, which the Moto G14 used. Since the two versions assess performance differently, direct comparisons may not be accurate.</p>

<p>The Moto G05 and G15 will likely include Motorola’s core design elements, coupled with budget-conscious hardware configurations, to cater to a value-seeking audience. If the Moto G14 is any indication, these new models may feature Motorola’s signature clean Android interface, decent camera setups, and robust battery life, making them accessible yet capable devices in the lower-midrange category.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/motorola/">Motorola</a> launched a pocket-friendly smartphone, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/motorola-moto-g14/">Moto G14</a>, in August this year with 4GB/8GB RAM. Now the successor, Moto G15, has surfaced on Geekbench 5 with a single and multi-core score of 340 and 1311 respectively.</p>

<p>Although the scores are lower than the 447 and 1577 points of the predecessor, we cannot compare the numbers directly as the upcoming device is tested on Geekbench 5 instead of Geekbench 6.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="640" height="770" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Moto-G15-Geekbench.jpg?x96852" alt="" class="wp-image-655695" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Moto-G15-Geekbench.jpg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Moto-G15-Geekbench-249x300.jpg 249w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Moto-G15-Geekbench-349x420.jpg 349w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></figure></div>

<p>The G15 listing doesn&#8217;t specify the exact chipset, but reports suggest it features a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. The chipset has a 6+2 core architecture, with 2 performance cores clocked at 2.0 GHz and 6 efficiency cores at 1.7 GHz.</p>

<p>According to the listing, the phone runs on <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/android-15/">Android 15</a> and has 4GB RAM. However, there will likely be a higher (possibly 8GB) RAM option. This device could be priced around Rs 10,000 and cater to those who want a simple and lightweight UI.</p>

<p>To recall, the Moto G14 ships with the Unisoc T616 chipset, which also has the same core architecture and similar clock speeds.</p>

<h2>Moto G14 Specifications:</h2>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="700" height="496" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Moto-G14.png?x96852" alt="" class="wp-image-655694" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Moto-G14.png 700w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Moto-G14-300x213.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Moto-G14-696x493.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Moto-G14-593x420.png 593w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Moto-G14-100x70.png 100w" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /><figcaption>Moto G14</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>To give you an idea of what to expect, the Moto G14 packs a 6.5&#8243; FHD+ IPS LCD display, which is really good considering the price range. The Unisoc Tiger T616 is paired with UFS 2.2 storage, much faster than eMMC modules usually used in devices in the price range. There are two different storage options: 128GB/256GB. The phone packs a 5000mAg battery and supports 15W charging.</p>

<p>As for the cameras, the G14 offers a 50MP+2MP setup on the rear and an 8MP camera in the front.</p>

<p>Notably, the G14 is a 4G device, and the similarity in scores suggests that the G15 could also be limited to 4G speeds.</p>

<p>Fortunately, there could be better options in the price range for those seeking 5G connectivity. Redmi is expected to launch a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/10/16/redmi-14c-5g-geekbench/">5G version of the Redmi 14C</a> soon, which scores over 900 and 2000 in Geekbench 6, a massive improvement in performance over both the Redmi 14C and the Moto G14. This suggests a considerably better performance in heavier apps.</p>
