Motorola has expanded its affordable smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the Moto G37 and Moto G37 Power. The new devices focus on long battery life, reliable 5G performance, durable build quality, and immersive entertainment features while targeting users looking for value-focused smartphones with modern software and practical features.

Moto G37, G37 Power specifications and features

The Moto G37 Power stands out with its large 7000mAh battery, which Motorola claims can deliver up to three days of usage on a single charge. The smartphone supports 33W TurboPower fast charging and also includes Battery Care technology designed to maintain long-term battery health for up to 1200 charging cycles.

Both the Moto G37 and G37 Power are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chip built on a 6nm process for improved efficiency and stable 5G connectivity. However, the G37 gets a smaller 5,200mAh battery with 20W charging support/

Motorola has equipped the devices with a 6.7-inch HD+LCD display featuring a 120Hz refresh rate, Display Colour Boost technology, and brightness levels reaching up to 1050 nits. The phones also come with Smart Water Touch support for better usability with wet fingers. The Moto G37 Power is paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage, along with RAM Boost support for smoother multitasking.

For photography, the Moto G37 Power features a 50-megapixel Quad Pixel rear camera system supported by AI-powered editing tools such as AI Magic Eraser and Photo Unblur. An 8-megapixel front camera handles selfies and video calls. The smartphone also includes stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio support, dual microphones, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Motorola has also focused heavily on durability. The Moto G37 series comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection, MIL-STD-810H certification, and an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance. Both phones run Android 16 with Hello UI and are confirmed to receive Android 17 along with three years of security updates.

Moto G37, G37 Power price and availability

The Moto G37 Power comes in Pantone Capri, Pantone Nautical Blue, and Pantone Impenetrable shades. The 4GB + 128GB variant is priced at Rs 15,999 (~$165), while the 8GB + 128GB model costs Rs 18,999 (~$200).

The Moto G37 arrives in a 4GB + 64GB configuration priced at Rs 13,999 (~$145). Both smartphones will go on sale from May 25 via Flipkart, Motorola.in, and retail stores across India.

Motorola has announced the Moto G37 as the most affordable model in its latest Moto G lineup. The phone was introduced alongside the Moto G87, with the G37 positioned as a budget 5G handset with a high refresh rate screen, a large battery, and added durability claims.

The Moto G37 features a 6.67-inch LCD display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. For audio, Motorola has included stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos tuning, wired Hi-Res Audio support, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, a 6nm octa-core chipset clocked at up to 2.4GHz. It is paired with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Motorola is also advertising up to 12GB RAM, but this includes up to 8GB of RAM Boost virtual memory taken from internal storage. Storage options include 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, with microSD expansion up to 1TB.

Motorola has also changed the camera setup. The Moto G37 uses a 50MP f/1.8 main camera with PDAF and quad-pixel binning for 12.5MP output, along with a 2-in-1 ambient and flicker light sensor. There is no ultrawide camera. The front camera is an 8MP f/2.0 fixed-focus unit. Both cameras record up to 2K video at 30fps.

The phone packs a 5,200mAh typical battery, with a 5,100mAh minimum rated capacity for EU energy labelling. It measures 166.23 x 76.50 x 7.85mm and weighs 191g. Other features include IP64 splash resistance, MIL-STD-810H certification, 5G sub-6GHz, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, FM radio, USB-C 2.0, Android 16, Hello UX, Moto Secure, Gemini, and Circle to Search.

Motorola has not shared wider availability details in the provided data. However, the Moto G35 5G launched in Europe at €199 in September 2024, and the Moto G37 is positioned around 25 percent higher year-on-year based on the same pricing context.
