The Moto G42 is set to go on sale in India today. The smartphone was launched in the country on July 4 after making rounds in the global market. The handset comes with 4G connectivity and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC, paired with up to 4GB of RAM. It sports a 6.4-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a standard 60Hz refresh rate. The smartphone runs clean Android 12 out of the box and packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 20W fast charging.

The Moto G42 comes in a single 4GB+64GB storage variant. It will be available with a price tag of Rs. 13,999 (roughly $176). The handset will be sold in Atlantic Green and Metallic Gold color options. The Moto G42 will go on sale at 12 pm today via Flipkart.

Customers can get up to Rs. 1,000 of instant discount on SBI credit card transactions, and a 5 percent instant discount on Axis Bank credit cards, according to the Flipkart listing.

In terms of optics, the Moto G42 houses a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50Mp primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro shooter along with an LED flash. On the front, the Moto G42 sports a 16MP camera for selfies and video calls.

In early June, Motorola unveiled the Moto G42 in Europe. Almost a month later, the smartphone has now made its way to India as scheduled. Let’s take a look at its pricing and availability in the new market along with its features.

Motorola Moto G42 Price and Availability in India

The Motorola Moto G42 arrives in a single 4GB + 64GB memory configuration in India priced at ₹13,999 ($177). It can be availed in either Atlantic Green or Metallic Rose color options.

The phone will go on sale from July 11 via Flipkart and leading retail stores across the country. Customers can avail of a ₹1,000 instant discount on SBI credit card transactions for a limited time.

Motorola Moto G42 Specifications

The Moto G42 features a plastic body like most Motorola-branded smartphones. The handset is IP52-rated for splash resistance. It measures 160.61 x 73.47 x 8.26mm in dimensions and weighs 174.5g.

The device flaunts a 6.47-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels (FHD+), a 700 nits peak brightness level, and a 409 PPI. The centered punch-hole panel has a 60Hz refresh rate and a 20:9 aspect ratio.

It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC paired with LPDDR4x RAM and uMCP storage. It boots near-stock Android 12 with My UX features. There’s support for MicroSD cards via a dedicated slot and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
