Motorola has just launched the Moto G51 in India. The new smartphone was first announced in China last month and has finally made its way to the Indian market.

Specs and Features

The Moto G51 5G arrives with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+, which is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can even be expanded via a microSD card slot. The device runs on Android 11 out of the box and also has an IP52 water resistant body. On the front, it sports a 6.8 inch punch hole FHD+ LCD display that features 120Hz high refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The display has a 20:9 aspect ratio and offers an 83.81 percent screen to body ratio. Its selfie shooter is an 8 megapixel sensor.

Meanwhile, the rear houses a triple camera setup that consists of a 50 megapixel primary camera, paired with 8 megapixel ultra wide angle lens and a 2 megapixel macro sensor. The rear even houses a fingerprint scanner. Under the hood, a large 5,000mAh battery pack powers the Moto G51 5G, which supports 10W charging. Other features include Dolby Atmos support, 5G support, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, USB Type C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack as well.

Pricing and Availability

The new smartphone from Motorola has launched in India for a price of 14,999 INR (roughly 200 US Dollars) for its single 4+64GB storage configuration. Notably, this price is inclusive of the 3,000 INR (roughly 40 US Dollars) discount. The device will be available in two colors, namely Bright Silver and Indigo Blue. It will be exclusively available for purchase on Flipkart starting from 16th December 2021.

Motorola just launched the Moto G31 in India earlier this week. However, the company has already started teasing the release of its next smartphone in the country. Going by the short teaser posted by the firm’s official Twitter handle, the upcoming handset will be nothing but the Moto G51 5G.

Last month, Motorola announced five smartphones for international markets. Out of them, the Moto G31 made its debut in India a few days back. According to a new teaser by the company, the Moto G51 5G will be also making its entry into the region very soon.

The Motorola Moto G51 5G was first unveiled in China in early November, followed by a global announcement a couple of weeks later. It was then tipped to launch in India along with Moto G31 and Moto G71. It is expected to carry a retail price under ₹20,000 in the country.

As far as specs are concerned, the Moto G51 5G comes with a 6.8-inch 120Hz display (LCD), Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ SoC, LPDDR4x RAM, UFS 2.2 storage, 50MP (wide) + 8MP (ultra-wide)  + 2MP (macro) triple rear camera setup, 13MP selfie camera, Android 11, 5,000mAh battery, 10W charging, and more.

We expect Motorola to officially reveal the launch date of Moto G51 5G in India very soon. The device may go official on December 10.

Motorola has been rumored to launch its new Moto G51 5G smartphone in the Indian market and as per the tweet from tipster Mukul Sharma, the device will go official in India on 10th December.

However, do note that the company has not yet confirmed the official launch date for the smartphone in the Indian market. Earlier, the company had teased that the Moto G51 will be made official in India in the month of December 2021.

As for the pricing, it is being rumored that the Moto G51 5G will be priced around ₹19,999 and is touted to be the most affordable Moto G-series phone with 5G connectivity.

Coming to the specifications, the smartphone features a 6.8-inch Full HD+ Max Vision display, offering 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 20:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 Plus SoC.

It is packed with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There’s also a microSD card slot for expanding the storage capacity up to 512GB.

In the camera department, the phone has a 13-megapixel selfie camera sensor at the front, with an f/2.2 lens. It carries a triple rear camera setup that consists of a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens, along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter.

The phone is running the Android 11 operating system and comes powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging. To know for sure when the device is getting launched in India and its pricing and availability information, we’ll have to wait for the official launch.

Motorola has confirmed to launch the Moto G31 in India on November 29.  Though the Moto G51 5G was also reported to debut in the country, the company is yet to reveal its launch date. Ahead of that, the handset’s price in the region leaks.

According to a report by 91Mobiles, the Moto G51 5G will release in India as the first Moto G series 5G smartphone in the country priced under ₹20,000,  citing industry sources. It will be available in two color options, namely Indigo Blue and Bright Silver.

The Moto G51 5G was announced for international markets alongside four other Motorola handsets last week. It made its initial debut in China earlier this month. The device is the world’s first Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ smartphone.

The specifications of the phone include a 6.8-inch FHD+ 120Hz display (LCD) with a centered punch-hole, up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, 50MP (wide) + 8MP (ultrawide) + 2MP (macro) triple rear camera setup, and 13MP front-facing camera.

Other features include a fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm headphone jack, MicroSD card slot, USB Type-C port, Android 11, 5,000mAh battery, and 10W charging.

The Motorola Moto G51 5G is expected to launch in India in December.
