Motorola has launched a host of new phones in its G-series in the global markets. These include the G73 5G, G53 5G, G23, and G13. The Moto G73 5G is the more premium device in the lineup. It arrives as the successor to the G72 that was launched last year. The latest offering packs upgraded specifications over its predecessor. As for the Moto G53 5G, it debuted in China last month and the global variant comes with the same specifications. 

Beginning with the Moto G73 5G, it features a 6.5-inch screen bearing an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display has a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout and a thick chin at the bottom. The device is equipped with stereo speakers tuned by Dolby Atmos. There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button. 

On the optics front, the Moto G73 5G has a squarish camera module on the back panel housing a 50MP primary sensor paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. There is a 16MP front-facing selfie snapper. 

Under the hood, the Moto G73 5G is equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 930 processor. It is coupled with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage. The device is backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 30W fast charging. Software-wise, the smartphone runs on the clean UI of the latest Android 13 out of the box. 

As for the Moto G53 5G, it has the same display, battery capacity, and charging speed as the G73 5G. The 50MP primary camera on the device is coupled with a 2MP macro unit and there is an 8MP selfie snapper. Internally, the Moto G53 G is powered by a Snapdragon 480+ processor and is offered in 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB RAM options. The storage variants are 64GB and 128GB. 

The Motorola G73 5G starts at EUR 299 for the base variant whereas the G53 5G carries a starting price tag of EUR 249. The former is offered in Midnight Blue and Lucent White colours while the latter comes in Pale Pink, Ink Blue, and Arctic Silver colours. Both smartphones will arrive in Europe today and will also roll out to select markets in Latin America and Asia in the coming weeks.

Motorola will soon be launching a couple of new devices soon. One of these will be the Moto G53, which will launch in India as well as in other regions. Ahead of the launch, the specifications and price of the device have already leaked.

Now, MySmartPrice has revealed live images of the device, along with images of the packaging. The Moto G53 5G will be shipped with a charging adapter, USB Type-C charging cable, a tool to eject the SIM card, a user manual, and the actual device. The phone’s plastic case reveals that the gadget would have a 120Hz display and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 5G chipset as its power source.

Additionally, the device’s box image confirms the “XT2335-2” model number for the G53 5G. According to the live image, the smartphone would have 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Here, the gadget is shown in the Ink Blue color choice; however, other color options should also be available. Dual SIM and eSIM capabilities for the handset are also mentioned on the packaging. The device’s rear image also indicates a dual-camera arrangement. A 50MP main camera with quad-pixel technology will be used on the G53 5G.

The Moto G53 5G will feature a 6.53-inch IPS LCD panel with an HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz, according to earlier reports. It will have the Snapdragon 480 Plus chipset inside. It will come with 128 GB of storage and 4 GB of RAM. It will contain a microSD card slot for extra storage.

MyUX-based Android 13 will be preinstalled on the Moto G53 5G when it is delivered. On the front, it will boast an 8-megapixel camera. A 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel secondary camera will be located on the device’s back panel.

A 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W charging over USB-C is included in the G53 5G. Dual stereo speakers calibrated for Dolby Atmos will be included in the phone. On Dec. 15, Motorola unveiled the Moto X40 flagship phone as well as the Moto G53 5G, as an entry-level 5G phone. While the Moto X40 is already available for purchase, the G53 has been available for pre-orders since its launch. Starting today, the G53 will be made available for purchase for the first time.

Motorola is indeed working on its upcoming Moto G53 5G and Moto G73 5G devices. The devices were previously listed on the FCC and BIS certification websites. The listing of BIS certification confirms that the devices will launch in the Indian market too. Now, both smartphones have listed on the TDRA certification. The listing of the devices on multiple websites are hinting at an imminent launch and we may get to hear about the official launch dates.

The Moto G53 5G with model number XT2335-2 and Moto G73 5G with model number XT2337-2 have been listed up on the TDRA certification, as first spotted by MySmartPrice. In addition to the TDRA, the Moto G53 with model numbers XT2335-1 and XT2335-2 have received FCC and EEC certifications. The Moto G73 5G has also received certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards and the European Commission. So both devices have simultaneously appeared on a number of different certification websites.

Following FCC approval, the Moto G53 5G global model will be packed with a 5000mAh battery and will enable 10W charging, just like its Chinese counterpart. Apart from that, these listings do not reveal any specifications. However, the Moto G53 5G specifications were recently leaked. The Moto G53 5G is expected to include a 6.6-inch OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The device’s global model is rumoured to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 CPU. A 5000mAh battery might be included with the smartphone.

The Moto G53 5G worldwide variant is believed to have a triple-rear camera configuration with a 50MP main sensor. It could be paired with an 8MP secondary sensor and a 2MP auxiliary sensor.
