<p>The phone runs on MediaTek&#8217;s Dimensity 7060 chip with Android 15. You get 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, plus you can add up to 2TB more with a microSD card. It supports dual SIM with one physical slot and eSIM, and there&#8217;s a separate slot for the microSD card.</p>

<p>The screen is a 6.72-inch Full HD+ LCD with 120Hz refresh rate. It&#8217;s not AMOLED, but Motorola protected it with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. The screen takes up 87% of the front.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="540" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto_g56_5g_pdp_durability_d_wj3-1024x540.jpg?x10805" alt="Moto G56" class="wp-image-689199" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto_g56_5g_pdp_durability_d_wj3-1024x540.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto_g56_5g_pdp_durability_d_wj3-300x158.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto_g56_5g_pdp_durability_d_wj3-768x405.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto_g56_5g_pdp_durability_d_wj3-1536x811.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto_g56_5g_pdp_durability_d_wj3-696x367.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto_g56_5g_pdp_durability_d_wj3-1068x564.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto_g56_5g_pdp_durability_d_wj3-796x420.jpg 796w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto_g56_5g_pdp_durability_d_wj3.jpg 1800w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>Battery life comes from a big 5200mAh cell that charges at 30W. The phone weighs 200g and has IP68 and IP69 ratings, so it can handle water and dust.</p>

<p>For cameras, there&#8217;s a 50MP main sensor using Sony&#8217;s LYTIA 600 with PDAF and Quad Pixel tech. You also get an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 32MP front camera. Software features include Auto Night Vision, Portrait Mode, Pro Mode, and 8x digital zoom. Motorola&#8217;s AI tools help improve photos.</p>

<p>Audio comes through Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, and there&#8217;s still a 3.5mm headphone jack. Other features include Google Assistant, ThinkShield security, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, and NFC support in some regions.</p>

<h2>Pricing &amp; availability</h2>

<p>The Moto G56 5G costs £199.99 in the UK and €250 in Europe. There&#8217;s only one version with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Motorola hasn&#8217;t said when it will launch in other countries.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/motorola/">Motorola</a> has got a new mid-range contender, the Moto G56 5G, and it seems they couldn’t wait to show it off. The phone popped up on their official website in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, spilling key details ahead of its planned reveal on May 29, 2025. This accidental leak has given us a juicy look at what’s coming, and it’s shaping up to be a solid upgrade over last year’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/motorola-moto-g55/">Moto G55</a>. Let’s dig into what Motorola let slip.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="605" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/2025145-motorola-moto-g56-5g-official-press-material-68345cd165e18-1024x605.jpg?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-688778" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/2025145-motorola-moto-g56-5g-official-press-material-68345cd165e18-1024x605.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/2025145-motorola-moto-g56-5g-official-press-material-68345cd165e18-300x177.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/2025145-motorola-moto-g56-5g-official-press-material-68345cd165e18-768x454.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/2025145-motorola-moto-g56-5g-official-press-material-68345cd165e18-696x411.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/2025145-motorola-moto-g56-5g-official-press-material-68345cd165e18-1068x631.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/2025145-motorola-moto-g56-5g-official-press-material-68345cd165e18-711x420.jpg 711w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/2025145-motorola-moto-g56-5g-official-press-material-68345cd165e18.jpg 1240w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<h2>Key details revealed by the listing</h2>

<p>The listing on the Slovak websites confirmed a bunch of specs before the company pulled the pages. The phone sports a 87% screen-to-body ratio, protected by Gorilla Glass 7i for scratch and drop resistance. It’s built tough, boasting IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance—good for surviving 1.5 meters underwater for 30 minutes—and MIL-STD-810H certification for drops up to 1.2 meters.</p>

<p>Under the hood, the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 chip powers things, paired with 8GB of RAM (with virtual RAM expansion) and 256GB of storage, expandable up to 2TB via microSD.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="884" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/2025145-moto-g56-twice-as-robust-6834604b0d1da-1024x884.jpg?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-688779" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/2025145-moto-g56-twice-as-robust-6834604b0d1da-1024x884.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/2025145-moto-g56-twice-as-robust-6834604b0d1da-300x259.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/2025145-moto-g56-twice-as-robust-6834604b0d1da-768x663.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/2025145-moto-g56-twice-as-robust-6834604b0d1da-696x601.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/2025145-moto-g56-twice-as-robust-6834604b0d1da-1068x921.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/2025145-moto-g56-twice-as-robust-6834604b0d1da-487x420.jpg 487w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/2025145-moto-g56-twice-as-robust-6834604b0d1da-534x462.jpg 534w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/2025145-moto-g56-twice-as-robust-6834604b0d1da.jpg 1159w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Camera-wise, the Moto G56 features a 50MP main sensor — the Sony Lytia LYT-600 (1/1.95&#8243;) — which is also used as the primary sensor in the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/26/iqoo-neo-10-launch-for-rs-31999/">iQOO Neo 10</a>. In the front, the G56 packs a 32MP sensor for the selfie camera, which is reportedly four times more light-sensitive than its predecessor.</p>

<p>The phone has a 5,200mAh battery with 30W fast charging, which should keep you going all day with quick top-ups. It runs Android 15 out of the box, and while full specs weren’t posted, the leak confirms four Pantone-inspired colors—<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/16/moto-g56-leaks-in-full-design-and-all-three-pantone-colors-revealed/">Dazzling Blue, Dill, Black Oyster</a>, and Gray Mist—each with unique back panel textures for some extra flair.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="413" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto-g56-color-options-1024x413-1.jpg?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-688777" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto-g56-color-options-1024x413-1.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto-g56-color-options-1024x413-1-300x121.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto-g56-color-options-1024x413-1-768x310.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto-g56-color-options-1024x413-1-696x281.jpg 696w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Though Motorola removed the listing, the internet doesn’t forget. This slip-up has us hyped for the official launch, especially with whispers of a €250 price tag for the 8GB/256GB model.</p>

<p>The latest leak about the Motorola Moto G56 reveals three of its four Pantone color options alongside its design. Priced at €250 for the 8GB/256GB variant, it’s set to launch soon with Android 15 and a 5,200mAh battery, per recent reports.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/motorola/">Motorola</a>’s Moto G56, codenamed “Bogota,” has surfaced with fresh renders, showcasing the complete design and three vibrant Pantone colors: Black Oyster, Dazzling Blue, and Dill. Dazzling Blue steals the show with multi-angle views. While it still features a dual-camera setup, the camera housing mimics the more premium Edge series. It also retains the headphone jack from the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/motorola-moto-g55/">G55</a>—a key feature for budget-conscious buyers. Unfortunately, the bottom bezel is still quite thick and may take some time for users shifting from a more expensive device to get used to it.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="768" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto-g56-design-1024x768.jpg?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-686984" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto-g56-design-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto-g56-design-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto-g56-design-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto-g56-design-696x522.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto-g56-design-1068x801.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto-g56-design-560x420.jpg 560w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto-g56-design-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto-g56-design-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto-g56-design.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>The G56 reportedly boasts IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance and MIL-STD-810H durability, an upgrade over the predecessor&#8217;s water repellent design. It sports a 6.72-inch FHD+ LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,000-nit brightness, and Gorilla Glass 7i protection, up from the G55&#8217;s 6.49-inch panel. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 SoC (vs Dimensity 7025 on the predecessor), it offers 4GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="530" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto-g56-design-2-1024x530.jpg?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-686983" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto-g56-design-2-1024x530.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto-g56-design-2-300x155.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto-g56-design-2-768x397.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto-g56-design-2-696x360.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto-g56-design-2-1068x553.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto-g56-design-2-812x420.jpg 812w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/moto-g56-design-2.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>The Moto G56&#8217;s camera setup reportedly includes a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main sensor (f/1.8), an 8MP ultrawide, and a 32MP selfie shooter, a notable upgrade from the G55’s 16MP front camera. The stereo speakers are paired with Dolby Atmos, and the 5,200mAh battery supports 33W charging.</p>

<p>Running Android 15, the 4GB model will reportedly get one OS update and three years of security patches, while the 8GB variant secures two OS upgrades and four years of security fixes. Expected to launch soon alongside the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/07/moto-g86-specifications-leak/">Moto G86 5G</a>, possibly skipping India like the G55, the G56’s refreshed design and vibrant colors make it a compelling mid-ranger.</p>

<p>Motorola might soon refresh its mid-range G line of phones, and one of the upcoming models, the Moto G56 5G, has just surfaced on Geekbench revealing key details about the chipset.&nbsp;</p>

<p>First spotted by <em><a href="https://www.thetechoutlook.com/tech-whispers/motorolas-moto-g56-5g-smartphone-spotted-on-the-geekbench-database-few-performance-specs-revealed/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">TheTechOutlook</a></em>, the Geekbench listing reveals the phone uses an octa-core processor with two high-performance cores clocked at 2.6GHz and six efficiency cores running at 2.0GHz. The GPU is listed as IMG BXM-8-256, suggesting it’s a MediaTek chipset. </p>

<h2><strong>Moto G56 will be powered by MediaTek SoC</strong></h2>

<p>This CPU and GPU configuration closely resembles the Dimensity 7025, but the latter has a prime core with 2.2GHz clock speed. So it could be that the Moto G56 5G might run on a different, possibly new, processor.</p>

<p>The device ran the benchmark with 8GB of RAM and Android 15. It posted a single-core score of 1039 and a multi-core score of 2396. Beyond these numbers, the Geekbench listing offers little else.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Motorola-G56-5G-Geekbench-bechmark.jpg?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-678711" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Motorola-G56-5G-Geekbench-bechmark.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Motorola-G56-5G-Geekbench-bechmark-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Motorola-G56-5G-Geekbench-bechmark-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Motorola-G56-5G-Geekbench-bechmark-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Motorola-G56-5G-Geekbench-bechmark-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>However, previous leaks suggest that the Moto G56 5G will come in Black, Blue, and Dill (Light Green) color options. Its pricing details have also surfaced even before the specs. The 8GB + 256GB variant is expected to go on sale for €250 (around ₹23,675).</p>

<p>This is the phone’s first appearance on a benchmark or certification site for that matter. As a result, we might have to wait a few more months for the device&#8217;s official launch. Its <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/motorola-moto-g55/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">predecessor</a> debuted last September, so the G56 5G could follow a similar timeline.</p>

<p>Motorola hasn’t confirmed anything yet, but if history is any indication, the leaks are only going to keep piling up as we get closer to launch.</p>
