<p>If you have been in the loop, you might know smartphones are quietly getting more expensive. Just as <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/nothing-phone-3a-lite/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nothing Phone (3a) Lite</a> saw a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/07/nothing-hikes-phone-3a-lite-prices-across-all-variants/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">price bump today</a>,<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/motorola/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> Motorola </a>has also increased prices for a handful of its devices in India. The revised pricing takes effect immediately and touches both its budget and mid-range portfolio.</p>

<p>Over the past few months, smartphone makers have been dealing with higher component costs, currency fluctuations, and ongoing supply chain pressure. This in turn, is directly affecting consumers, and Motorola’s latest revision fits neatly into that pattern.</p>

<h2><strong>Motorola hikes Moto G and Edge series prices in India</strong></h2>

<p>The price hike affects three devices across the Moto G and Edge lineups, including the Moto G35, Moto G57 Power, and Motorola Edge 60 Fusion. The increases vary depending on the variant, but in most cases, buyers are now paying between Rs 500 and Rs 2,000 more than before.</p>

<p>For the Moto G35, the base 4GB + 128GB variant now costs Rs 12,499, up from Rs 11,999. The higher-end 8GB + 128GB version sees a steeper jump, going from Rs 12,999 to Rs 13,999.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="662" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Moto-G35-5G-1024x662.jpg?x44794" alt="Motorola Moto G35 5G" class="wp-image-663082" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Moto-G35-5G-1024x662.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Moto-G35-5G-300x194.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Moto-G35-5G-768x497.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Moto-G35-5G-1536x993.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Moto-G35-5G-2048x1324.jpg 2048w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Moto-G35-5G-696x450.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Moto-G35-5G-1068x691.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Moto-G35-5G-1920x1241.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Moto-G35-5G-650x420.jpg 650w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Moto G35</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The Moto G57 Power, a higher-end phone in Motorola’s budget lineup, has also seen price changes. Its 8GB + 128GB model now retails at Rs 15,999, compared to its earlier price of Rs 14,999.</p>

<p>The biggest increase is on the mid-range Motorola Edge 60 Fusion. The 8GB + 128GB variant now costs Rs 22,999 (up from Rs 20,999), while the 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB variants have climbed to Rs 24,999 and Rs 26,999, respectively.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="768" height="488" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Motorola-Edge-60-Fusion-Mocha-Mo.jpg?x44794" alt="Motorola Edge 60 Fusion Mocha Mousse" class="wp-image-697631" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Motorola-Edge-60-Fusion-Mocha-Mo.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Motorola-Edge-60-Fusion-Mocha-Mo-300x191.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Motorola-Edge-60-Fusion-Mocha-Mo-696x442.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Motorola-Edge-60-Fusion-Mocha-Mo-661x420.jpg 661w" sizes="(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /><figcaption>Moto Edge 60 Fusion</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>For buyers, the right time to purchase a phone is getting harder to predict. Prices that were once stable for months are now more fluid, even for devices that have been on the market for a while.</p>

<p>Even though the Android 16 rollout hasn’t gone smoothly for Motorola devices, the company has shown clear signs it’s focusing on improving the software rollout. But I wasn’t expecting a dramatic shift this soon. The company has just announced the Android 17 beta program, becoming the first non-Google brand to do so.</p>

<p>It has been just a couple of days since Google released the<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/02/14/android-17-beta-1-is-here-how-to-install-eligible-devices-and-new-features/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> first Android 17 beta</a>. We were expecting third-party manufacturers to launch the Android 17 beta program in a few weeks, as has typically been the case in the past, but Motorola had a different plan. The Android 17 beta program is live for Moto Edge 2025, Moto G57, and Moto G57 Power.</p>

<p>The Android 17 beta program for these Motorola smartphones is currently available in select regions, as Motorola posted on the<a href="https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Current-Testing-Opportunities/bd-p/current_testing_opportunities_en" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> official forum</a>. We’ve listed the devices and supported regions below, along with the direct link to the official beta program page.</p>

<ul><li>Moto Edge 2025 &#8211;<a href="https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Current-Testing-Opportunities/Beta-Test-Motorola-Edge-2025-US-Android-17/m-p/10023156" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> US</a></li><li>Moto G57 &#8211;<a href="https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Current-Testing-Opportunities/Beta-Test-moto-g57-EMEA-Android-17/m-p/10023149" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> EMEA</a> (Europe, Middle East, Africa)</li><li>Moto G57 Power &#8211;<a href="https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Current-Testing-Opportunities/Beta-Test-moto-g57-power-India-Android-17/m-p/10023153" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> India</a>,<a href="https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Current-Testing-Opportunities/Beta-Test-moto-g57-power-EMEA-Android-17/m-p/10023152" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> EMEA</a></li></ul>

<p>If you want to test early builds of Android 17, you can sign up for the beta program by following the steps mentioned below. Note that beta builds are prone to having bugs and errors. So, it’s best to install them on a secondary device.</p>

<p>It’s surprising to see Motorola launching its Android 17 beta program, starting with mid-range and budget models, not premium models like other brands do. It should expand to more devices in the coming days and weeks. We’ll keep an eye on the latest information and post them in the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/motorola/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Motorola section</a>.</p>

<h2>How to sign up for Motorola’s Android 17 beta program?</h2>

<ol><li>Create an account on<a href="https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Forum-Feedback/How-to-register-sign-up-for-the-Motorola-Community/m-p/5256361" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> Motorola’s community website</a> (if you haven’t already).</li><li>Visit the profile page and update your IMEI or serial number (SN) details.</li><li>Opt in for MFN on your Motorola community profile.</li><li>Always ensure that your phone is running the latest software.</li><li>Go to the<a href="https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/MFN-Beta-Testing/ct-p/MFN_Beta_Testing_Category_en" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> MFN Beta Testing Opportunities page</a> to see a testing opportunity for your Motorola device.</li><li>Tap on the registration link for your Motorola phone.</li><li>Fill in the required details and submit your application.</li></ol>

<p>Motorola may send emails containing more details about your beta application. Therefore, remember to check your inbox regularly, including the spam folder. You can also manually check for new updates via the Settings app.</p>

<p>Google has planned a few more betas ahead of the stable release, which is scheduled for Q3 2026. For Motorola, that’s a quick start to Android 17, but it will be exciting to see how things go forward because that’s where Motorola struggles the most. Last year, it began the Android 16 rollout earlier than most brands but struggled to deliver updates to other devices on time.</p>

This model arrives with a huge battery capacity, a new budget Snapdragon chipset, and a super smooth display. So here&#8217;s everything you need to know.</p>

<h2>Moto G57 Power Launch: What does it offer?</h2>

<p>The brand just unveiled the Moto G57 Power with a tall 6.7-inch LCD panel that has an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
