In the latest update, TWRP has added a slew of new smartphones into the compatibility list. The official TWRP support brings stable features which work without any issue on compatible smartphones. The official TWRP build also promises regular support and updates.

The new TWRP official build opens doors for Asus Zenfone 6, Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e, Moto G7, Galaxy Note 8 (Snapdragon) and BQ Aquaris M10 4G to flash custom ROMs and kernels. It was earlier limited for these devices to flash anything as the custom recovery is a must before tweaking anything.

The custom recoveries also facilitate easy backups for mobile devices. A user can easily restore the backup if the phone stalls at any point. The compatibility will further boost the third-party development of these devices. It can result in more advanced ROMs, Mods and Kernels.

If you’re looking to flash the TWRP on any of the devices mentioned above, then make sure to download the TWRP recovery of the particular device. Otherwise, your device may brick.

However, the company has not yet given up on the Moto G-series devices.

Last month, Lenovo-owned Motorola had launched its Moto G-series smartphones in Brazil. Later, the company had launched the Moto G7 Power in the Indian market. Today, the company has launched the Moto G7 in India, as expected from the teaser shared by the company earlier this month.

Moto G7

The smartphone is priced at Rs. 16,990 (approximately $247) in India and will be made available in two color options — Ceramic Black and Clear White. The device will be available for purchase from today, i.e. 25th March through Moto Hub stores, Flipkart, and major offline retailers across the country.

As for the specifications, the Moto G7 comes with a waterdrop or teardrop notch on top of a 6.2-inch Full HD+ display that supports 1080 x 2270 pixels screen resolution. Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 632 octa-core processor and is paired with 4GB of RAM.

It packs 64GB of internal storage and comes with a microSD card slot that further expands the phone’s storage capacity up to 512GB. In the camera department, the smartphone features a dual camera setup on the back side, comprising a 12MP + 5MP setup. On the front side, the Moto G7 features an 8MP shooter for taking selfies and video calling.

The smartphone comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and it also supports Face Unlock. The phone has a water-repellent design that shields it against accidental spills and sweat. Running on Android OS, the device is powered by a 3,000mAh battery with 15W Turbopower charging support.

At this price range, the Moto G7 will be competing against the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro, Oppo K1, Samsung Galaxy M30, among others. In comparison to its competition, the Moto G7 seems to be underpowered at this price point.

Now, it is the turn of the vanilla G7, that we decided to compare with the Asus Zenfone Max M2 and the Honor 10 Lite by Huawei due to their similar specs and price range. This is a comparison regarding midrange phones that you should choose if you want a performing device without spending too much. You will find well-balanced specs, but these devices do not reach the excellence on any side.

Design

If you need the most futuristic, clean and elegant design, go for the Huawei Honor 10 Lite without thinking twice. It is equipped with a stunning reflective glass back that you can choose in gradient hues, with small modules for cameras and very compact size. It even comes with very narrow bezels around the display, as well as the smallest dewdrop notch of the trio. You should instead go for the Motorola Moto G7 if you are seeking the best build quality. First of all, it offers a more solid aluminum frame, as well as a resistant glass back protected by Gorilla Glass 3. Further, it is splash resistant, a very rare thing on midrange and entry-level devices.

Display

The display of the Moto G7 by Motorola should offer something more in terms of image sharpness and brightness thanks to its LTPS technology. On the paper, it looks like a better panel, but not a high-end one. But the differences in the display quality if we compare it to the Asus Zenfone Max M2 and the Huawei Honor 10 Lite will be just marginal. In each case, we are talking about Full HD midrange-class IPS panels that usually do not differ too much.

Specs & Software

If your priority is speed and smoothness in every scenario, grab a unit of the Huawei Honor 10 Lite. You should do that simply because it comes with the most powerful SoC: the Kirin 710. To give you the idea, we can say that it has similar performances to the Snapdragon 660 chipset, which is way superior to the Snapdragon 632 that you can find on the Asus Zenfone Max M2 and Motorola Moto G7. You can even get a variant of the Honor 10 Lite with 6GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, while the most powerful configuration of both Asus Zenfone Max M2 and Moto G7 has just 4/64 GB. But note that Honor 10 Lite is the only to come with a highly-customized user interface, while the others have stock Android. However, Zenfone Max M2 is still based on Oreo unlike its rivals already running Pie.

Camera

Motorola always equipped its midrange phones with incredibly well-optimized cameras, so we have high expectations for the Motorola Moto G7. On the paper, it seems that it will be indeed better with its great pixel size and a secondary depth sensor with a higher resolution. But if you want the best selfies, it will probably not be able to compete with the Honor 10 Lite and its stunning 24 MP front sensor that comes with an f/2.0 focal aperture.

Battery

Asus Zenfone Max M2 was realized with battery life in mind: unlike its opponents, it has an efficient HD+ and there is probably a reason for it: guaranteeing a very long battery life. Further, it has a huge 4000 mAh battery that can provide up to two days of intensive usage on a single charge. Motorola Moto G7 has the smallest battery but it can be charged faster thanks to both its smaller capacity and its 15W fast charging technology. Honor 10 Lite is average.

Price

Despite the bigger battery of the Asus Zenfone Max M2, Honor 10 Lite wins this comparison because of its great design, better performances, good display, and great cameras. You can even get it for less than Moto G7: just €210/$237, while Moto G7 and Asus Zenfone Max M2 cost €250/$282. On the other hand, Asus Zenfone Max M2 has a very high value for money as it costs about €150/$170.

The Mot G series is a very popular series and has garnered quite a sizeable number of lower followers for the brand. The popularity isn’t unconnected to their nice designs and affordable pricing. The four new models range from budget phones like the Moto G7 Play and big battery-packing G7 Power to premium midrange models like the G7 and G7 Plus.

Before now, almost all the features and design of the models have been in the open via leaks but let’s still take a quick look at the specifications of the models. One interesting point to note is that all four G7 series models will runGoogle’s latest Android 9.0 Pie OS from the go and support storage expansion via microSD card. The models also feature USB Type-C port and 3.5mm audio jack which is impressive.

Moto G7 Play Specifications & Features

The Moto G7 Play takes over the rein from the Moto G6 Play which happened to be one of the phones with the longest-lasting battery in 2018 with its battery lasting up to two days. experience for most people. The G7 Play isn’t a battery monster, a title the G7 Power has claimed, but the G7 Play’s focus is on affordability. The Moto G7 Play packs a 3000mAh battery unlike a 4000mAh cell on last year’s G6 Play.

The device sports a 5.7-inch display with an HD resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels. The phone has a big notch at the top just like the one made popular by the iPhone X. The Moto G7 Play is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 chipset. The processor is paired with 2GB of RAM which is the only available option, at least for now. The device also comes with 32GB of storage which is expandable as earlier stated. On the camera end, the device packs a single 13MP rear camera while for selfies, there is an 8MP front camera.

As for the pricing, the Moto G7 Play is priced at $200 which isn’ really cheap as there are far better options at that price range. The model will launch unlocked in the US this spring. In a short while after the official launch, Motorola will make the G7 Play available on Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Republic Wireless and Ting.

Moto G7 Power Specifications & Features

Just like the name implies, the Moto G7 Power is all about battery power. The model packs a mammoth 5,000mAh battery under its hood. Unfortunately, that is where it all ends as the rest of its specs don’t really tickle. Just like the G7 Play, it is equipped with a Snapdragon 632 chipset but has 3GB of RAM inside. The storage option is still a 32GB expandable storage only.

Moto G7 Power

In addition, the Moto G7 Power sports a 6.2-inch display with HD resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels. The display still features a similar wide notch as seen on the G7 Play. The G7 Power priced at $250 and will be available unlocked in the United States starting this spring. The same scenario will still play out shortly after initial availability as it will also arrive on carriers, including T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Cricket Wireless (as the Moto G7 Supra), Consumer Cellular, Republic Wireless, Ting and Xfinity Mobile.

Moto G7

The Moto G7 can be described as the flagship in the budget series. Don’t get it wrong, the G7 is not a flagship model but its features and specs are way enhanced than the G7 Play and G7 Power. The Moto G7 may turn out as the star of this series as it offers the best balance of price to performance in the series.

Moto G7

The Moto G7 does not have a big notch like the two cheaper models but instead, it utilises the more acceptable water drop or teardrop notch. The G7 packs a 6.2-inch display with Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2270 pixels that is definitely sharper than those of the former two. The G7 still features a Snapdragon 632 chipset but it is paired with 4GB of RAM while there is 64GB of expandable storage onboard. The Moto G7 is available in two colours; ceramic black and clear white. On the camera end, it features a dual camera setup at its rear side comprising a 12MP+5MP combo.

Moto G7

As for the pricing, the G7 starting price will be $300 in the United States and the phone will arrive this spring unlocked first at Best Buy, B&H Photo, Walmart and Amazon. Later on, the G7 will also be launched on Google Fi, Republic Wireless and Ting. International customers will be able to buy the G7 even earlier as the phone was launched in Brazil and Mexico today. It will be arriving in Europe in mid-February and to the rest of the world in March.

Moto G7 Plus

The Moto G7 Plus is enhanced over the other three models in several aspects even though the design looks like the G7. The model packs a 6.24-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2270 pixels. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor paired with 4GB of RAM while there is 64GB of storage onboard. On the camera end, the G7 Plus also packs a dual rear camera setup, 16MP + 5MP combo while for selfies, there is a 12MP sensor.

Moto G7 Plus

The G7 Plus comes in two colour options; Viva Red and Deep Indigo. In addition, the phone will have a 27-watt fast charging that will give you 12 hours of power with just 15 minutes of charge. For pricing, the Moto G7 Plus will have a $300 Euro price tag. It won’t be sold in the US but will hit Europe and other regions soon.

At the moment, there is practically nothing that we do not know about the specs of the phones which includes the Moto G7, the Moto G7 Play, Moto G7 Power and the Moto G7 Plus.

Ahead of the launch, prices of the phones in Brazil, except for the Moto G7 itself, have leaked and all we can say is they are ridiculously expensive.

The prices are from network operator Claro, so they are pretty genuine. The Moto G7 Play is priced at BRL 999 (~$271) and that gets you a phone with a 5.7” HD+ display, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP rear camera, an 8MP camera, and a 3,000mAh battery.

[envira-gallery id=”234639″]

The Moto G7 Power which packs a larger 6.2-inch HD+ display, a larger 5,000mAh battery and 3GB of RAM is priced at BRL 1,299 (~$352). The Moto G7 Plus which is the top of the line is priced at BRL 1,899 (~$515). This gets you a 6.2” FHD+ screen with a waterdrop notch, 4GB of RAM and support for 27W fast-charging.

These are pretty expensive for mid-range phones and when you compare them to the leaked prices for Europe, you know the high price tags are limited to Brazil. Probably as a result of really high import taxes.

The company is yet to release a launch itinerary for Europe but a new leak has emerged revealing the Moto G7 and G7 Plus pricing for Europe. According to the leak from a Twitter tipster, the Moto G7 pricing in Europe will start at €300 while that of the G7 Plus will start at €360. Earlier on, the tipster had revealed that the G7 Play will be sold for €149 while the G7 Power will be offered for €209.

The Moto G7 lineup has already been featured on Motorola’s website and is made up of four models; MotoG7, G7 Plus, G7 Play and G7 Power. As for their specs, the Moto G7 packs a 6.24-inch display with a waterdrop notch and 1080×2270 resolution. It’s powered by the Snapdragon 632 chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. At the rear aspect, there’s a 12MP + 5MP dual rear camera setup while the device is fired up by a 3,000mAh battery. The G7 Plus specs are almost similar except that it is powered by a Snapdragon 636 and the main rear cam to a 16MP unit.

On the other hand, the Moto G7 Play features a 5.7-inch display with a resolution of 720×1512 pixels. It is powered by a Snapdragon 632 paired with 2GB of RAM with 32GB of storage. There is a 13 MP rear camera, and the same 3,000 mAh battery. Finally, the G7 Power lives up to its name in the battery aspect as it packs a 5,000 mAh cell. It equally features a bigger 6.2″ display with the same resolution as the G7 Play. The model is also powered by the Snapdragon 632 and has the same 32GB of storage, but 3GB of RAM. The beautiful thing is that all four models run Android 9 Pie.

The Moto G7 lineup, comprising four models, have been making the rounds in rumours and leaks. Right from the days of the Moto G4 lineup, the G7 is expected to be the most expensive alongside the Moto G7 Plus. While the Moto G7 Play will be at the lower end of the pricing table. Motorola will add a new model which will be known as Moto G7 power.

According to earlier rumours, the Moto G7 Play and Moto G7 Power will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 632 processor which places the models in the same category as the Nokia 6.2. Apart from the mammoth 5000mAh battery expected to feature on the Moto G7 Power, there isn’t any special feature on both models. On the other hand, the more expensive Moto G7 and Moto G7 Plus, are both rumoured to utilise the more powerful Snapdragon 660 chipset. Both devices equally pack dual rear camera setups and small waterdrop notches.

We can’t be so sure, though, that the G7 lineup will be unveiled but since the brand is popular in that region, it is highly possible that would happen. We expect the sales to commence in no distant time after the launch event. While the global debut could happen at MW 2019 in late February. A recent report tip the Moto G7 Play and Moto G7 Power to be priced at around €149 ($169) and €209 ($238) respectively in most European markets. On the other hand, the Moto G7 and G7 Plus are rumoured to retail at €249 ($283) and €299 ($340) respectively. The prices in the US are expected to be lower due to the increased taxes and import tariffs applied to European products.

Rumors are rife that the Moto G7 series will be announced through the upcoming unveil event. The G7 series includes smartphones such as Moto G7, Moto G7 Plus, Moto G7 Power and Moto G7 Play. The specifications and pricing of these phones have surfaced in recent reports. The leaked live shots of the Moto G7 Power had appeared int he previous week. Today, an Indian publication has shared the live shots of the Moto G7 live smartphone.

The Moto G7 live shots reveal that the smartphone could be heading to India in Black and Red color variants. The company may release the phone in other color options. A leaked render of the phone (shown below) that had cropped last week revealed that it will be also available in White.

The smartphone can be seen sporting a waterdrop notch display. The side bezels and the chin of the device is quite thick. The rear shell of the phone seems to be made out of glass which curves towards the left and right edges. The Motorola batwing logo on the rear is embedded with a fingerprint reader. Above it is a round-shaped camera module.

The device looks all set to hit the market, considering all the numbers of leaks that have been outed in recent times. The latest leak is the series of renders of the device in a transparent case, making it possible to see the upcoming Moto G7 from all angles.

From the transparent case, we were able to get a better look at the dual camera setup and the fingerprint scanner positioned at the rear. Also, the screen features a teardrop notch on the front with buttons and ports on the sides.
The Moto G7 is equipped with a speaker grille, a power button, a volume rocker on the right side, a USB-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom. In contrast to its predecessors, the Moto G7 has it speaker at the bottom.

Lenovo-owned Motorola is expected to release a total of 4 Moto G7 smartphone variant which includes the Moto G7, Moto G7 Plus with a teardrop notch, Moto G7 Play and lastly the Moto G7 Power with the regular wide notch. Both the Moto G7 and G7 Plus are most likely to have similar specs but they vary slightly with a larger screen and battery, which is likely in favour of the Plus device. The Moto G7 Power and the Moto G7 Play, are also expected to be equipped with mammoth batteries, with the power capacity expected to have a large 5000mAh packed inside, providing enough juice for the essential running of the device.

Last year, the company had unveiled the Moto G6 series in Brazil. An unnamed source has revealed to Brazilian publication that Motorola will be debuting the Moto G7 series at Brazil before the MWC 2019.

The publication has no information on the exact launch date of the Moto G7 series. However, it is quite confident that it will be made official ahead of MWC 2019. It will be a global launch event, claims the publication. This year, the Moto G6 series was introduced in the second quarter of the year. However, if the new reports are true, Lenovo’s sub-brand could be working on launching the G7 series earlier in Q1 2019. Past reports have revealed that the Moto G7 series will include four handsets such as Moto G7, Moto G7 Plus, Moto G7 Power and Moto G7 Play.

The Moto G series that was introduced in 2013 is very popular in the Brazilian market. Hence, it appears that the company will want to maintain its popularity in Brazil by announcing the forthcoming Moto G7 series in the country.

Moto G7

The Moto G7 is shown in white. The back is curved and like its predecessor, it is covered in glass. The biggest change in terms of design is the switch to a notched display and in this case, the water-drop style. There is still a bit of bezel at the bottom that is thick enough to accommodate the manufacturer’s name. Housed within the notch is a single camera.

There is also a change in the rear camera design. It retains the circular housing that isn’t flushed with the rest of the back but the change is in the design of the sensors’ housing. Both cameras share a single housing instead of separate ones like the Moto G6. The area around the cameras is coated black and there is a LED flash underneath.

The Motorola batwing logo which doubles as a fingerprint scanner sits below the cameras. The render also shows us that the bottom of the phone is home to a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB type-c port, and a speaker grille.

Moto G7 Plus

The Moto G7 Plus wears a wine-colored coat and has the same curved glass back as the Moto G7. It also has a notched display design though reports say the screen is bigger in size. The back is also the same design as that of the Moto G7. It also has dual rear cameras and a fingerprint scanner under the batwing logo.

The Moto G7 Plus will differ from the Moto G7 in terms of specs and size as is the tradition with the series.

Moto G7 Play

The Moto G7 Play picks up the popular Champagne Gold hue. It has a wide rectangular notch at the top that is home to a camera, a speaker, and an LED flash. It also has a thicker bottom and side bezels compared to the Moto G7 and Moto G7 Plus.

The back of the phone seems like metal but we won’t be surprised if it is plastic although a switch to metal will be appreciated. The camera house has been slightly redesigned but it still has just a single sensor and an LED flash. It also has a fingerprint scanner.

There is a port at the bottom which is likely MicroUSB. There is no audio jack visible at the bottom but we are pretty sure it is at the top just like its predecessor’s.

Moto G7 Power

The Moto G7 is getting a Power-variant this year and the name should already tell you that the selling point of the phone will be its large battery capacity.

The Moto G7 Power has a smaller notch that just houses the front-facing camera and speaker. Its bezels are also thick like that of the Play variant. It also has a similar rear design and appears to be made from the same material – polycarbonate. Its deep blue finish looks good and should be a favorite among those who purchase a unit. There is also a MicroUSB port at the bottom and very likely, a 3.5mm audio jack at the top.

The Moto G7 series will launch next year but the release date remains under wraps. Motorola is expected to launch all phones with Android 9 Pie out of the box.

A leakster who is known for revealing information on upcoming Motorola phones has shared some key information on the chipset that will be powering the above phones. Moreover, he has also shared key details on the storage and RAM options of those phones.

The new leak reveals that the Moto G7 phone will be fueled by Snapdragon 660. It will be equipped with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of inbuilt storage. The Moto G7 Plus is tipped to powered by Snapdragon 700 series chipset. Since Snapdragon 700 series from Qualcomm only includes the Snapdragon 710 chipset so far. Hence, the G7 Plus could be fueled by the SD710 SoC. The G7 Plus may arrive with 64 GB of internal storage and may arrive in the market in 6 GB and 4 GB RAM options.

The Moto Z3 was expected to debut with Snapdragon 845 chipset, but it was a bit of a disappointment for the company to use Snapdragon 835 on it. The Moto Z4 arriving in 2019 could feature the Snapdragon 8150 chipset that is slated to go official in the coming month. It may feature 6 GB of RAM and may come in 64 GB and 128 GB storage choices.

Previous reports have revealed that the Moto G7 and G7 Plus will be both equipped with waterdrop notch screens. Through the FCC documents it has been found that the Moto G7 may feature a 2,820mAh battery which is smaller than the battery of predecessor Moto G6. The Moto G7 Plus is expected to arrive with 3,500mAh battery. The Moto G7 duo are also expected to arrive with dual rear cameras.

The same source has also revealed a render of the Moto G7 Plus smartphone. Like the Moto G7, the G7 Plus is also speculated to arrive with a waterdrop notch display design.

The above render shows that the Moto G7 Plus will be featuring a waterdrop notch screen like the Oppo F9 Pro and Vivo V11 smartphones. The predecessor Moto G6 Plus had featured an 18:9 aspect ratio. The chin of the G7 Plus is slightly thick compared to the side bezels. Still in comparison to the predecessor model, the G7 Plus seems to offer higher screen-to-body ratio.

The back panel of the Moto G7 Plus appears to be made out of glass. It tapers towards the frame of the device. A recent report had suggested that Moto G7 / G7 Plus could be first G-series phone to come feature Qi wireless charging support.

Like the predecessor model, it has a circular housing for the horizontal dual camera setup and LED flash. Below the camera sensors is the Moto batwing long that seems to be embedded with a fingerprint scanner. The overall design of the phone is not very different from the Moto G7. Hence, it appears that the two phones may differ in specs including display size.

Moto G7 Plus Specifications (Rumor)

The Moto G7 Plus is expected to arrive with a 6.4-inch display that will produce FHD+ resolution. The notched screen will allow the handset to offer an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. It could be fueled by Snapdragon 660 chipset or the more powerful Snapdragon 710 chipset. It may feature up to 6 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of storage.

For photography, it is likely to arrive with 16-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera setup. The handset could be equipped with a 3,500mAh battery. The company may release it with Android 9 Pie OS preinstalled.

Moto G7 Specifications (Rumor)

It is speculated that the Moto G7 may feature a smaller Full HD+ waterdrop notch display of 6 inches. The Snapdragon 660 SoC or Snapdragon 636 chipset power the phone along with 4 GB of RAM. The highest model of the phone may feature 64 GB of inbuilt storage.

It could be arriving with 12-megapixel front camera and 16-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera setup. A smaller battery of 3,000mAh capacity may power the Moto G7.

On the external aspect, the Moto G7 features a dimension of 156.86 x 75.4mm which means it is slightly bigger than the current-gen Moto G6 whose dimension is 153.8 x 72.3mm. While the screen size is still unconfirmed, the increase in size does point towards a panel of at least 6-inches. The listing also includes a sketch of the smartphone’s rear is included and it lines up with previously-leaked renders. This means that consumers should expect a notched display up front and a dual-camera setup on the rear.

On the internal aspect, the new documents show that there may be both single-SIM and dual-SIM variants. This is in addition to a Snapdragon 660 chipset as well as 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The specs listed shows that the device will have a significant upgrade over the Moto G6 and G6 Plus which are powered by the Snapdragon 450 and 630 respectively. Finally, the device will get its juice from a disappointing 3,000mAh battery.

The 360-degree CAD renders of the upcoming Moto G7 had surfaced in the previous month. Today, a fresh render of the smartphone has appeared today to reveal its front and rear design.

The Moto G7 render reveals that the phone will be boasting a higher screen-to-body ratio since it is equipped with a waterdrop notch. This makes the smartphone look like the recent OPPO and Vivo phones with waterdrop notch displays. Except for the slightly thick chin with the company’s branding, the handset sports slim-sized bezels around the screen.

The rear side of the Moto G7 is made out of glass which curves towards the edges. The handset sports rounded corners. It is equipped with a circular module for the horizontal dual camera setup and LED flash. The Motorola batwing logo that is placed below the dual camera system is embedded with a fingerprint scanner.

The bottom edge of the Moto G7 is equipped with a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB-C port and a speaker grille. The power button and volume controllers are present on the right edge of the smartphone.

The alleged Moto G7 has appeared at FCC with some key specs. Through FCC filings, it has been revealed that the alleged phone is driven by Snapdragon 660 chipset and 4 GB of RAM. It may feature an internal storage of 64 GB.

The Moto G7 may come equipped with a 6-inch display. Rumors have that the phone could be equipped with 16-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual rear cameras. For shooting selfies, the front notch of the phone could be featuring a 12-megapixel snapper. It may feature a 3,500mAh battery with fast charging support. It is speculated that the Moto G7 or G7 Plus could be the first G-series phone from the company to support wireless charging. The smartphone is very likely to come loaded with Android 9 Pie OS.

The Lenovo-owned company had released the Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus and Moto G6 Play smartphones around six months ago. Now that the rumor mill has started leaking information on the features of the Moto G7, it appears that the smartphone may get announced in the coming month or early next year.

The phone has been seen on the FCC’s website which has led us to believe that it might arrive early compared to the Moto G6.

The FCC certification doesn’t reveal key details save for the model number which is XT1965-2. There are no specifications or images attached too. However, we already know what the phone will look like thanks to leaked images and renders.

The Moto G7 will come with a mew MaxVision display (if they still want to call it that). The new display will have a waterdrop notch where the front-camera will be positioned. There will still be a bit of bezel at the bottom and at the top and the speaker will be a slit between the top bezel and the metal frame.

The Moto G7 will pack dual rear cameras and a dual LED flash in a redesigned circular housing. Beneath the camera setup is a fingerprint scanner with a Motorola logo. The Moto G7 will keep the audio jack and have a USB type-c port.

Specs of the phone also leaked over a month ago. The phone will pack a 6.4-inch FHD+ screen, have an octa-core processor and will at least have a model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It will also have a 12MP selfie camera, a 16MP + 5MP dual rear camera setup, and a 3500mAh battery. The leak also revealed it will run Android 9 pie out of the box.

Previous reports have revealed that the Moto G7 will be boasting a higher screen-to-body ratio than its predecessor models since it is expected to arrive with a waterdrop notch display. An Indian publication has teamed up with industry expert @OnLeaks to share the 360-degree CAD renders of the Moto G7.

The leak reveals that the company will be launching two Moto G series smartphones next year. The renders that are available in the post belongs to the Moto G7 handset. However, the other device could be an advanced phone that could be called Moto G7 Plus.

The Moto G7 CAD renders reveal that it features a waterdrop notched screen. This indicates that the G7 Plus will be also sporting the same display design. The G7 can be sporting a thicker chin with Motorola branding and slimmer side bezels.

The back panel of the phone features the usual round-shaped camera module that includes horizontally aligned dual cameras. Below it is the company’s logo that is embedded with a fingerprint scanner. The bottom edge of the phone houses a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB-C port and an external speaker. The volume buttons and the power key reside on the right edge of the device.

The handset measures 157 x 75.3 x 8mm and with the camera bump, its thickness increases to 9.5mm. The dimensions of the phone suggest that it could be equipped with a 6-inch display.

Shown below is one of the recent tweets from popular tipster Evan Blass. He claims that Motorola will not be releasing C-series, M-series and X-series of smartphones in 2019. Also, unlike the above leak which claims that only two Moto G series devices will be launching in the coming year, Blass claims that the 2019 G-series will include Standard, Play, Plus and Power models.

Previous rumors have revealed that the Moto G7 will be supporting Full HD+ resolution on its 6-inch IPS LCD display. There is no information on the processor that will be powering the Moto G7. However, it is known that the processor will be accompanied by 4 GB of RAM. Other features of the smartphone include 64 GB internal storage, Android 9 Pie OS, 16-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual cameras setup, 12-megapixel front camera and 3,000mAh battery.

We don’t know what influenced Motorola’s decision not to release a Moto G6S, maybe the release of the Motorola One series. Nevertheless, the focus is now on the Moto G7 series. Specs for the Moto G7 have surfaced on the web and it shows Motorola is going big with the 7th-gen Moto G phone.

The Moto G7 is reported to pack a 6.4-inch display. That is a big bump in screen size when you compare it to the Moto G6‘s 5.7-inch screen. It will probably still be called Max Vision though. The display will have a Full HD+ resolution.

The Moto G7 will come with an unnamed octa-core chipset. The Moto G6 has a Snapdragon 450 under its hood which is the king of the Snapdragon 400 series. So we are probably expecting the move to a Snapdragon 600 series chipset. The processor will be paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

For the cameras, the G7 will have two sensors on its back. The two cameras are a 16MP sensor and a 5MP sensor while the front camera is a 12MP sensor. The phone will run Android 9 Pie out of the box and pack a 3,500mAh battery. Expect Motorola’s TurboPower fast charging technology on board. The Moto G7 will also have a fingerprint scanner which should remain on the rear.

The phone has a water-drop notch and dual rear cameras. The about phone section revealed the name as Moto G6 Plus but we know it isn’t the G6 Plus. There are speculations it is the Moto G7 or Moto G7 Plus.

Now, the designer Waqar Khan has published a new video and new concept renders, trying to imagine the upcoming Motorola Moto G7 that is surely among the most awaited midrange phones. And according to these renders, the device will adopt the most used method to reduce the bezels created in 2018: the tri-borderless design with waterdrop notch. The renders you can see below are not just a result of imagination, but they are based on important leaks surfaced until now.

So there is a high chance that the upcoming Motorola Moto G7 will really look similar to this. The device shows a front panel with a waterdrop notch containing the front camera only, as well as very narrow bezels with a slightly thicker chin. The rear panel is made of glass as expected, while the frame is made of metal. The back side does not differ so much from the Moto G6 and it sports a dual camera setup together with a dual LED flash. Under the rear cameras, there is a circular fingerprint reader which embeds the company’s logo.
