The Moto G77 Power features a 6.72-inch Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1,050 nits peak brightness, Display Color Boost technology, and Water Touch support for improved responsiveness with wet hands. For audio, it features stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset, paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 24GB RAM Boost. It also offers 128GB of storage, expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card.

The G77 Power has a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA 600 primary camera with Quad Pixel technology, accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera. Motorola is set to launch the Moto G77 Power in India on July 8. The smartphone arrives as a new variant of the Moto G77, which debuted in global markets earlier this year but has not been introduced in India. While both phones share the same MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset and Android 16 software, they differ in several key areas. Here’s a look at the seven biggest differences between them.

Display

The Moto G77 features a larger 6.78-inch Extreme AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 10-bit colour support, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and an impressive peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits. It is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

The Moto G77 Power, on the other hand, sports a slightly smaller 6.72-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. It offers up to 1,050 nits of brightness, 8-bit colour depth, and Gorilla Glass 7i protection. While both displays support smooth scrolling, the standard Moto G77 offers a significantly more premium viewing experience.

Battery

Battery capacity is where the Moto G77 Power stands out. It packs a massive 7,000mAh battery compared to the Moto G77’s 5,200mAh unit. Both phones support 30W TurboPower charging, but the Power model also supports 6W wired reverse charging, allowing it to charge accessories or another smartphone using a cable.

If long battery life is your top priority, the Moto G77 Power has a clear advantage.

Cameras

The Moto G77 comes equipped with a 108-megapixel primary camera featuring an f/1.7 aperture and support for 3x lossless zoom. It is paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a dual LED flash.

Software

However, Motorola promises longer software support for the Moto G77. It is scheduled to receive security updates until June 2030, whereas the Moto G77 Power is promised one Android OS upgrade and three years of security updates.

The Moto G77 is available with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, with support for microSD cards up to 2TB. It also supports RAM Boost, allowing memory expansion up to 24GB.

The Moto G77 Power comes in both 4GB and 8GB RAM variants with 128GB of storage. The 4GB model supports RAM Boost up to 12GB, while the 8GB version can expand up to 24GB. However, microSD expansion is limited to 1TB.

Connectivity

There are several other differences between the two devices. In terms of connectivity, the Moto G77 supports NFC and eSIM, whereas the Moto G77 Power offers dual Nano SIM support but misses out on both NFC and eSIM. Ahead of its debut, the company has officially listed the smartphone, revealing almost everything about its hardware and features. The listing confirms that the device focuses on battery life while also offering a capable display, cameras, and decent performance.

The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, while the phone also carries an IP64-rated water-resistant design and MIL-STD-810H durability certification.

Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. RAM Boost support allows the available memory to be expanded virtually, and storage can be increased by up to 1TB through a microSD card.

The biggest highlight is the 7,000mAh battery, which supports 30W TurboPower charging and 6W wired reverse charging. Motorola claims the battery can deliver up to 59 hours of usage on a single charge

The phone includes a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA 600 main camera with OIS support alongside an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, while selfies are handled by a 32-megapixel front camera. Both front and rear cameras support video recording at up to 2K resolution.
