Motorola is set to launch the Moto G77 Power in India on July 8. The smartphone arrives as a new variant of the Moto G77, which debuted in global markets earlier this year but has not been introduced in India. While both phones share the same MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset and Android 16 software, they differ in several key areas. Here’s a look at the seven biggest differences between them.

Moto G77 Power

Moto G77

Display

The Moto G77 features a larger 6.78-inch Extreme AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 10-bit colour support, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and an impressive peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits. It is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

The Moto G77 Power, on the other hand, sports a slightly smaller 6.72-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. It offers up to 1,050 nits of brightness, 8-bit colour depth, and Gorilla Glass 7i protection. While both displays support smooth scrolling, the standard Moto G77 offers a significantly more premium viewing experience.

Battery

Battery capacity is where the Moto G77 Power stands out. It packs a massive 7,000mAh battery compared to the Moto G77’s 5,200mAh unit. Both phones support 30W TurboPower charging, but the Power model also supports 6W wired reverse charging, allowing it to charge accessories or another smartphone using a cable.

If long battery life is your top priority, the Moto G77 Power has a clear advantage.

Cameras

The Moto G77 comes equipped with a 108-megapixel primary camera featuring an f/1.7 aperture and support for 3x lossless zoom. It is paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a dual LED flash.

The Moto G77 Power uses a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA 600 primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, alongside the same 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. However, it gets a single LED flash instead of a dual LED unit. Both smartphones feature a 32-megapixel front-facing camera capable of recording videos at up to 2K resolution.

Software

Both smartphones run Android 16 out of the box with Motorola’s My UX interface and include features such as Google Gemini, Moto Secure, and ThinkShield.

However, Motorola promises longer software support for the Moto G77. It is scheduled to receive security updates until June 2030, whereas the Moto G77 Power is promised one Android OS upgrade and three years of security updates.

Memory and Storage

The Moto G77 is available with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, with support for microSD cards up to 2TB. It also supports RAM Boost, allowing memory expansion up to 24GB.

The Moto G77 Power comes in both 4GB and 8GB RAM variants with 128GB of storage. The 4GB model supports RAM Boost up to 12GB, while the 8GB version can expand up to 24GB. However, microSD expansion is limited to 1TB.

Connectivity

There are several other differences between the two devices. In terms of connectivity, the Moto G77 supports NFC and eSIM, whereas the Moto G77 Power offers dual Nano SIM support but misses out on both NFC and eSIM. The Power model, however, includes a 3.5mm headphone jack and FM Radio, features that are absent on the standard Moto G77.

Design

The Moto G77 is slimmer and lighter at 7.33mm thick and 182g, while the Moto G77 Power measures 8.89mm and weighs 215g due to its larger battery. However, the overall design is identical on both phones.

The two phones are also available in different Pantone colour options. The Moto G77 comes in Shaded Spruce and Black Olive, while the Moto G77 Power is offered in Impenetrable Gray, Nautical Blue, Fuchsia Red, and Laurel Green.

Which one should choose?

The Moto G77 is the better choice if you prioritize display quality, a slimmer design, longer software support, and features like NFC and eSIM. The Moto G77 Power, meanwhile, is aimed at users who value exceptional battery life, reverse charging, and practical additions such as a headphone jack and FM radio.

Motorola is refreshing its midrange lineup in the UK and other global markets with two new models, Moto G77 and Moto G67. Both are big-screen phones with large batteries and durability features. The main difference comes down to performance, cameras, and how much you want to spend.

Moto G77 Specifications

The Moto G77 is positioned as the more premium option of the two. Motorola is clearly leaning on display quality and camera upgrades here.

The phone features a large 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is also plenty bright for outdoors with 5000 nits of peak brightness.

On the camera side, the Moto G77 gets a 108-megapixel main sensor, which supports 3x lossless zoom. The main camera is paired with an 8-megapixel ultrawide, while selfies are handled by a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.

Inside, it runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chip, with options for 8GB or 12GB of RAM and storage going up to 512GB. Keeping the lights on is a 5,200mAh battery that supports 30W charging. Audio is handled by stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.

Rounding out the specs are IP64 rating for dust and water resistance, MIL-STD-810H certification, and Gorilla Glass 7i on the front.

The phone launches in Pantone shades called Shaded Spruce and Black Olive, priced at £250 in the UK.

Moto G67 Specifications

The Moto G67 is a more budget-friendly take on the Moto G77.

It keeps several features intact, like the 6.78-inch AMOLED display with the Gorilla Glass 7i protection and 120Hz refresh rate. The battery size, charging speed, and MIL-STD toughness rating are also the same as the G77. Where it cuts back is performance and cameras.

The processor drops to a MediaTek Dimensity 6300, paired with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. The main camera is a 50-megapixel Sony Lytia 600 sensor paired with an 8MP ultrawide, and the water resistance rating is slightly lower at IP63. That said, the battery and charging specs are the same as the G77.

Those compromises help bring the price down to £200. The Moto G67 will be available in Pantone colors named Arctic Seal and Nile.

A new leak has just revealed key details of Motorola‘s upcoming Moto G77 and Moto G67. The details were revealed after an online retailer’s listing got leaked, which also shared early renders of the pictures. These listings paint a clear picture of Motorola’s next generation G-series ahead of their official announcement. So let’s check it out.

Moto G67 Specifications

The Motorola Moto G67 leak shows the phone will sport a large 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness, and Corning’s Gorilla Glass 7i for protection. Under the hood, it’s tipped to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which can also be expanded by up to 2TB via a microSD card slot.

For photography, the rear features a 50MP Sony LYT600 primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and an 8MP ultra wide angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture. Meanwhile, the front houses a 32MP shooter with an f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calls. A sizeable 5,200mAh battery pack powers this model, which supports 30W wired fast charging. Motorola is also offering an IP64 rating for water and dust resistance along with a MIL-STD-810H certification for added durability.

Moto G77 Specifications

The Moto G77 shares many of the core specs seen on the G67. You get the same 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness, and Corning’s Gorilla Glass 7i. Even the 32MP selfie camera and 8MP ultra wide angle lens. However, it steps up the hardware with a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor and 8GB of RAM for more responsive performance.

That’s not all, the Moto G77 is expected to feature a 108MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture. So we can expect a capable photography experience from this mid range device. Other notable features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, an IP64 rating for water and dust resistance, and a similar military grade durability.

Shared Features

Both the Moto G67 and Moto G77 are rumored to run on the Android 16 OS out of the box. Alongside this, you get a hybrid dual SIM support, 5G connectivity, WiFi, Bluetooth, and NFC. The large OLED panels and balanced battery sizes suggest Motorola is aiming for devices that combine everyday usability with strong multimedia performance without pushing into the premium price bracket. Unfortunately, the pricing and official launch details are still at large.
