<p><a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/motorola" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Motorola</a> has begun updating its <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/motorola-moto-g84/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Moto G84 5G</a> smartphones in India to Android 14 OS. The device made its debut last year with Android 13-based My UX onboard, so this is its first major update. The new software, version UTC34.22-64-6, is 1.85GB in size and includes the latest security patch from February 2024.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" width="916" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/motorola-g84-pdp-color-2-pp07jmwq-916x1024.webp?x44794" alt="Moto G84" class="wp-image-563275" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/motorola-g84-pdp-color-2-pp07jmwq-916x1024.webp 916w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/motorola-g84-pdp-color-2-pp07jmwq-268x300.webp 268w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/motorola-g84-pdp-color-2-pp07jmwq-768x859.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/motorola-g84-pdp-color-2-pp07jmwq-1374x1536.webp 1374w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/motorola-g84-pdp-color-2-pp07jmwq-1831x2048.webp 1831w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/motorola-g84-pdp-color-2-pp07jmwq-696x778.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/motorola-g84-pdp-color-2-pp07jmwq-1068x1194.webp 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/motorola-g84-pdp-color-2-pp07jmwq-376x420.webp 376w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/motorola-g84-pdp-color-2-pp07jmwq.webp 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 916px) 100vw, 916px" /></figure></div>

<p>The update brings several new features focused on privacy and accessibility. Users can now choose which photos and videos apps can access, get alerts about apps sharing their location, and receive notifications if an unknown tracker is detected. These changes aim to give users more control over their personal information.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="461" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/20240329_1438311-461x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="Moto G84 5G update" class="wp-image-614783" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/20240329_1438311-461x1024.jpg 461w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/20240329_1438311-135x300.jpg 135w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/20240329_1438311-189x420.jpg 189w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/20240329_1438311.jpg 540w" sizes="(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px" /></figure></div>

<p>For better accessibility, the update includes a new feature that makes the phone flash for incoming notifications and improves options for magnifying content on the screen. It also introduces a centralized place for managing health data.</p>

<p>This Android 14 update for the Moto G84 5G is part of Motorola&#8217;s broader plan to update many of its smartphones, including the Razr 40 Ultra and several models from the Edge and Moto G series. <p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/motorola/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Motorola</a> “Moto G” series of smartphones has always been popular in the budget smartphone segment. In fact, it is the first Motorola Moto G smartphone back in 2013 that paved the way for Motorola’s comeback. Soon after its release, the first Motorola Moto G became the best-selling smartphone in markets like India, Brazil, and Mexico.</p>

<p>Fast forward to 2023, a decade later, the Moto G series is still running strong, with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/motorola-moto-g84/">Moto G84 5G</a> being the latest addition to the lineup.</p>

<p>Today, we’re here with a detailed review of the smartphone to help you understand if the latest Moto G84 5G smartphone is worth your money in 2023.</p>

<h2>Moto G84 5G Detailed Review:</h2>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-1024x683.png?x44794" alt="Moto G84 5G Review" class="wp-image-576098" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-1024x683.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-300x200.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-768x512.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-696x464.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-1068x712.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-630x420.png 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review.png 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<h2>Build and Design</h2>

<p>The Moto G84 5G has a very traditional <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/smartphone/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">smartphone</a> design, that is very much identical to the Motorola Edge 40 Neo that was recently announced.</p>

<p>The first thing you&#8217;re going to notice when you hold the phone is that it feels incredibly lightweight.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="683" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-2-683x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="Moto G84 5G Review" class="wp-image-576111" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-2-683x1024.jpg 683w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-2-200x300.jpg 200w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-2-768x1152.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-2-1024x1536.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-2-696x1044.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-2-1068x1602.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-2-280x420.jpg 280w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-2.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px" /></figure></div>

<p>The front, as you can already guess, houses the 6.5-inch flat display. Whereas the side rails as well as the rear of the phone are built out of plastic. However, the rear does have a textured finish either made out of vegan leather or 3D premium PMMA (depending on the color variant you choose), which gives it a friendlier feel in hand.</p>

<p>The main highlight of the smartphone design would definitely be its colors. The phone is available in three color variants: Viva Magenta, Marshmallow Blue, and Midnight Blue. The color palette is designed in partnership with Pantone, thus giving it a unique and vibrant shade.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="768" height="1024" data-id="576103" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-11-768x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="Moto G84 5G Review" class="wp-image-576103" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-11-768x1024.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-11-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-11-1152x1536.jpg 1152w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-11-696x928.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-11-1068x1424.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-11-315x420.jpg 315w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-11.jpg 1536w" sizes="(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></figure>

<p>Talking about buttons and ports on the phone, the right side of the phone houses the power and volume buttons. On the left, you have the SIM tray, and the bottom of the phone has the USB Type-C charging port, the speaker array (the device has dual stereo speakers), and a 3.5mm headphone jack.</p>

<p>Yes! You heard that right. Out of all phones in 2023, this one comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack. Feel nostalgic yet?</p>

<p>The device is also rated IP54 for being water and dust-repellant, and there is also an under-display fingerprint sensor positioned in the bottom center of the display.</p>

<h2>Display</h2>

<p>The Moto G84 5G features a vibrant 6.5-inch FHD+ pOLED display with a fixed 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, and 10-bit color support, offering over one billion colors for excellent visual quality.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-1-1024x683.jpg?x44794" alt="Moto G84 5G Review" class="wp-image-576104" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-1-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-1-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-1-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-1-630x420.jpg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-1.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>It boasts a peak brightness of 1300 nits, ensuring outstanding outdoor visibility. The viewing angles are also good. However, it lacks the ability to play Ultra-HD 4K content due to limitations associated with the Snapdragon 695 chipset. Overall, it stands out as one of the better displays in the under Rs. 20k range.</p>

<p>The device comes with saturated display settings by default, but I would advise switching to Natural colors to avoid excessive saturation in certain scenarios.</p>

<h2>Performance, UI, Gaming</h2>

<p>Powering the Moto G84 5G is the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-695/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Snapdragon 695</a> chipset and 12GB LPDDR4x RAM along with 256GB of internal storage space. It is also worth noting that there aren’t any RAM/internal storage variants with the G84 5G like we see with every other phone out there. Additionally, the device also supports expandable memory of up to 1TB with microSD.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-3-1024x683.jpg?x44794" alt="Moto G84 5G Review" class="wp-image-576109" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-3-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-3-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-3-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-3-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-3-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-3-630x420.jpg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-3.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>The Snapdragon 695, which was released way back in 2021, is not the best <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/chipset/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">chipset</a> that you can find in the price range.</p>

<p>I’ve run benchmark tests on the device, with AnTuTu scoring it at 428,067, and Geekbench 6 showing a single-core score of 910 and a multi-core score of 2,064. During a CPU throttling test lasting 15 minutes with 50 threads, the device’s performance dropped by 15% from its peak.</p>

</figure>

<p>Benchmarks aside, on a real-life performance basis, you wouldn’t have a terrible experience.</p>

<p>Yes, you’re not getting the best and latest in terms of processing power, but what you get is very good enough to take you through the daily tasks of checking emails, social media, etc., and also in terms of gaming.</p>

<p>We did run games like PUBG, Call of Duty, Asphalt 9, and Asphalt 8, on the device, and all ran well. You may have to turn down the graphic settings from the extreme level for a smoother experience, but it is not unplayable by any means. The device gets hot though after a heavy gaming session.</p>

<p>On the software front, the Moto G84 5G comes with Android-13 out of the box, with an OS upgrade to Android-14 on the way. Motorola also promises 3-years of security updates for the device, but we would not bet on any Android version upgrades for the device.</p>

<p>What makes the Moto G84 5G sweeter, just like every other Motorola device, is the software experience. The UI feels very similar to stock Android with some Motorola features/apps that enhance the user experience. However, due to its mid-level processing power, you may occasionally experience frame drops and animation lags.</p>

<p>The device includes some cool features like gesture controls, Moto Spatial Sound, Games Control, and more, which are welcome additions.</p>

<h2>Camera</h2>

<p>The 50-MP primary camera on the Moto G84 5G takes photos that are binned to 12.5 MP by default. Given ample lighting such as in daytime scenarios, the primary camera can capture really good photos with life-like colors and great detail. Forcing the primary camera to take 50-MP shots improves the details in the image, reduces noise, and also reduces the artificial image sharpening that we see otherwise.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-5-1024x683.jpg?x44794" alt="Moto G84 5G Review" class="wp-image-576105" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-5-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-5-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-5-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-5-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-5-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-5-630x420.jpg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-5.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>Even the 8-MP ultrawide camera can produce good shots in well-lit conditions. However, as the lighting conditions worsen, so does the overall picture quality of all the cameras. Nothing that would make you throw away the phone in pain, but not impressive considering the competition either. Images in low lighting lack detail, are way noisier, and aren’t generally good.</p>

<p>But the game changes with the 16-MP selfie shooter. The selfie camera captures stunning pictures and assesses conditions exceptionally well. Skin tones are perfect in nearly every situation, and low-light performance is also impressive. I would say this smartphone boasts one of the best selfie cameras available under Rs. 20k.</p>

<p>On the video front, the camera is really good considering that it is OIS and PDAF. You can capture Full-HD 30fps/60fps videos with the rear primary camera, 30fps Full-HD with the rear ultrawide camera, and either 30fps/60fps Full-HD video with the selfie camera.</p>

<p>Here are some of the camera samples in different conditions:</p>

<h2>Sound</h2>

<p>The Moto G84 features a stereo speaker setup with one dedicated bottom-firing speaker and an amplified earpiece. Despite this asymmetrical arrangement, it manages to produce surprisingly balanced and loud sound. The audio output has a clean frequency response, with clear mids, making voices sound good. The inclusion of Dolby Atmos enhances the audio experience.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="718" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-8-1-1024x718.jpg?x44794" alt="Moto G84 5G Review" class="wp-image-576151" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-8-1-1024x718.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-8-1-300x210.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-8-1-768x539.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-8-1-696x488.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-8-1-1068x749.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-8-1-599x420.jpg 599w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-8-1-100x70.jpg 100w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-8-1.jpg 1516w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<h2>Battery Life</h2>

<p>With a 5,000mAh battery unit on board and a fairly power-efficient chipset, you can easily enjoy a whole day of battery backup with the Moto G84 5G. No matter if you’re always on WiFi, enjoying crisp content on the device’s display, or heavily gaming, battery life is never going to be a concern.</p>

<p>The battery deal is even sweeter considering that you get a 33W “TurboPower” quick charger in the box, which can easily get you cross the 50 percent battery mark within 30 minutes.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="683" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-6-683x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="Moto G84 5G Review" class="wp-image-576107" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-6-683x1024.jpg 683w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-6-200x300.jpg 200w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-6-768x1152.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-6-1024x1536.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-6-696x1044.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-6-1068x1602.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-6-280x420.jpg 280w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Moto-G84-5G-Review-6.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px" /></figure></div>

<h2>Should You Buy the Moto G84 5G?</h2>

<p>Well, making a purchase decision on the Moto G84 5G is a simple deal.</p>

<p>Do you prefer an ordinary-looking device, that gives you an awesome stock Android experience (Note: No Ads!), pass-able camera quality, not-really-bad performance, amazing front cam, and a terrific battery life?</p>

<p>Then the Moto G84 5G will be the most affordable and yet the best option you have.</p>

<p>However, if you prefer what we all call a “bang-for-the-buck” device that packs your device up to the brim with features and hardware specs, then this is definitely not the best option you have out there.</p>

<p><strong>Disclaimer:</strong> The opinions expressed in this Moto G84 5G review are solely mine, reflecting my personal experiences. There has been no editorial input from Motorola.</p>

<p>Just a few days later, another source says that the device will be released as early as next month. Let’s go through the details.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Motorola-Moto-G84-5G-Render-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="Motorola Moto G84 5G" class="wp-image-560890" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Motorola-Moto-G84-5G-Render-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Motorola-Moto-G84-5G-Render-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Motorola-Moto-G84-5G-Render-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Motorola-Moto-G84-5G-Render-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Motorola-Moto-G84-5G-Render-2048x1152.jpg 2048w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Motorola-Moto-G84-5G-Render-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Motorola-Moto-G84-5G-Render-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Motorola-Moto-G84-5G-Render-1920x1080.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Motorola-Moto-G84-5G-Render-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>According to tech influencer <a href="https://twitter.com/stufflistings/status/1694201632253174206"><em>Mukul Sharma</em></a>, the Motorola Moto G84 5G will make its global debut in India. The phone will be launched in the country in September.</p>

<p>He also goes on to say that the handset will be available in Pantone’s color of the year 2023 — Viva Magenta. Further, it will feature a vegan leather rear finish. He even shared the image of the device in the said color and finish.</p>

<p>As for specs, the source has only disclosed two things. Firstly, the smartphone will be equipped with a 120Hz 10-bit pOLED display. Secondly, it will be offered in a 12GB + 256GB memory configuration.</p>

<p>Going by the renders, the handset will come with an OIS-assisted 50MP main camera paired with an unknown secondary camera. It will have a flat frame design and will also sport a 3.5mm headphone jack.</p>

<p>Finally, FCC certification had earlier revealed that the phone will draw energy from a 5,000mAh battery. It will carry support for 33W wired charging.</p>

<p>We expect to learn more about the Motor G84 5G in the coming days. The brand should officially tease the features ahead of its release.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/?s=motorola">Motorola</a> is reportedly working on two G-series devices. Recently, the Moto G54 <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/08/18/moto-g54-press-renders-leak-global-launch-expected-soon/">surfaced in press renders</a>. Now the Moto G84 5G has also appeared in leaked renders shared by tipster Evleaks. The images give us a look at the device. The upcoming offering has already bagged TDRA and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/08/16/motorola-g84-5g-fcc-battery-specs/">FCC</a> certifications hinting at an imminent launch of the smartphone. The Moto G84 5G is expected to arrive as the successor to the G82 that launched last year. </p>

<h2>Moto G84 5G leaked renders</h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/G84-5G-1024x683.webp?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-559584" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/G84-5G-1024x683.webp 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/G84-5G-300x200.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/G84-5G-768x512.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/G84-5G-696x464.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/G84-5G-1068x712.webp 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/G84-5G-630x420.webp 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/G84-5G.webp 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>As per the leaked renders, the Moto G84 5G has a slightly boxy form factor. There is a protruding squarish camera module on the back panel along with the brand’s batwing-like logo. The power and volume rocker buttons are located on the right side whereas the SIM tray is on the left side. It’s unclear whether the power key will double up as a fingerprint scanner or if the device will feature an in-screen scanner.&nbsp;</p>

<p>On the front, the Moto G84 5G will feature a center-aligned punch-hole cutout display. The screen is surrounded by thin bezels. The smartphone has dual rear cameras along with a 50MP OIS text confirming the sensor’s presence. The bottom of the device houses a USB-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a speaker grille. The renders reveal the Moto G84 5G in Red, Black and Silver color options.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The core specifications of the Moto G84 5G remain a mystery for now. The FCC certification listing revealed that the device will pack a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 33W fast charging.&nbsp;</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/motorola/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Motorola </a>is planning on launching new mid-range smartphone models in India from its popular G-series. One of the models includes the Moto G84 5G, which recently surfaced on a certification listing. This revealed some of its key specifications regarding the battery pack of the G84, so let&#8217;s have a look.</p>

<h2>Motorola G84 5G Specifications</h2>

<p>Previously, the Motorola G84 5G model was spotted on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/08/15/motorola-edge-40-neo-and-moto-g84-5g-inching-towards-launch-appear-on-tdra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">TDRA certification listing</a>. The TDRA listing confirmed the device&#8217;s G84 5G moniker. Now, the smartphone has appeared on the FCC certification platform carrying the model number XT2347-2 and XT2347-1. This listing revealed that the upcoming device will be powered by a large 5,000mAh battery pack (model no: QB50).</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Motorola-G84-5G-FCC.webp?x44794" alt="Motorola G84 5G FCC" class="wp-image-558510" width="686" height="561" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Motorola-G84-5G-FCC.webp 856w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Motorola-G84-5G-FCC-300x245.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Motorola-G84-5G-FCC-768x628.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Motorola-G84-5G-FCC-696x569.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Motorola-G84-5G-FCC-514x420.webp 514w" sizes="(max-width: 686px) 100vw, 686px" /></figure></div>

<p>The Motorola G84 5G will also support 33W fast charging. In our previous report, we talked about a Danish website that confirmed that the new smartphone will launch in two storage configurations. This includes a 4GB and 8GB RAM variant that will be paired with 128GB and 256GB storage respectively. Apart from this, its color variants were also leaked, which include Coronet, Outer Space, Amrosia, and Ballad Blue.</p>

<p>Notably, the company is gearing up to launch the Moto G54 5G as well. It was recently spotted on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/08/16/motorola-moto-g54-5g-surfaces-on-fcc-confirms-some-specifications/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">FCC listing</a>. There is even a Motorola Edge 40 Neo model in the works, which was spotted alongside the Moto G84 5G on the TDRA certification. </p>
