The brand teased the upcoming smartphone last week, and now, the pricing for the region was revealed by Flipkart. This might be an accident but the price range is in line with its mid-range status. The pricing for the new Moto G85 was spotted on Google through their ads. Sponsored section of the search lists showcased the device and its price tag for the top end 12GB + 256GB option. Motorola will apparently launch this device for 18,999 INR (roughly 228 US Dollars) in India. It is worth mentioning that this isn’t its actual listed price, rather the price after all the offers are applied. We expect an 8GB + 128GB base variant also to be announced tomorrow, but the price of this model is still unclear.

The Moto G85 drops in India on 10th July 2024 which is tomorrow. Motorola has already confirmed a bunch of its specifications, making it identical to the European variant. To recall, the G85 sports a tall 6.67-inch curved pOLED display on the front that offers FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 1600 nits of peak brightness.

The rear features a 50-megapixel Sony LYT600 primary camera along with an 8-megapixel ultra wide angle lens. For selfies and video calls, you get a 32-megapixel shooter. Redmi 13 5G

The Redmi 13 5G is planned to launch in India on July 9 (Tuesday). It is a budget smartphone and the successor of Redmi 12 5G.

It will be almost similar to its predecessor with a few upgrades. Some of these changes will be a 108MP rear camera, a 13MP selfie camera, a ring LED flash, a 5,030mAh battery, and 33W charging support.

The device will retain 6.79-inch FHD+ 90Hz display (LCD), Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, 3.5mm headphone jack, IR blaster, and side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Tecno Spark 20 Pro 5G

The Tecno Spark 20 Pro 5G will be announced in India on July 9 (Tuesday). For the unaware, it is the only 5G model in the series.

The device comes with a 6.78-inch FHD+ 120Hz display (LCD), a 108MP primary camera, an 8MP front-facing camera, and dual stereo speakers. It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W charging.

Realme GT 6

The Realme GT 6 will be made official in China on July 9 (Tuesday). This product will be different from the GT 6 sold in global markets.

The Chinese Realme GT 6 will be the brand’s proper flagship smartphone in a long time. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and feature a metal frame.

The handset will arrive with a 6.78-inch 1.5K 144Hz OLED display, a 5,800mAh battery, 120W wired charging support, a 50MP + 8MP dual camera system, and a 16MP selfie camera.

Lava Blaze X

The Lava Blaze X is set to launch in India on July 10 (Wednesday). The budget smartphone is expected to come with a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC and a curved display.

The phone will be offered in violet and gray color options. It will be available in 128GB and 256GB storage variants paired with up to 8GB RAM.

The product is expected to be priced below ₹20,000 in the country.

Motorola Moto G85

The Motorola Moto G85 will go official in India on July 10 (Wednesday). The device is already official in several regions, and hence, everything about is already known.

The handset comes with a 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz curved OLED display. It features a faux leather back like recent phones from the brand.

As for other specs, it arrives with a Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chip, a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main camera, a 5,000mAh battery, and 30W charging support.

Both the latest foldables from the South Korean tech giant will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. They will arrive with minor upgrades over their predecessors.

The iQOO Neo 9S Pro Plus will be announced in China on July 11 (Thursday). It will be a slightly upgraded version of iQOO Neo 9S Pro.

The device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile platform. It will be the first non-flagship iQOO phone to feature an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor.

Honor Magic V3 and Magic Vs3

Honor has scheduled an event in China for July 12 (Friday). The brand will unveil two foldables at this conference among other products.

On its official website and Flipkart, the company shared teasers of the upcoming device showcasing its July 10 launch date. Those teaser posters confirmed a bunch of its features, confirming that it is identical to the European version of Moto G85. You get a tall 6.67-inch curved pOLED display on the front that offers FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 1600 nits of peak brightness.

Keeping up with most smartphones in this price segment, the rear features a 50-megapixel primary camera (Sony LYT-600 sensor), along with an 8-megapixel ultra wide angle lens. For selfies and video calls, there is a 32-megapixel shooter on the front. The Moto G85 packs the new Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC, which is paired with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. Motorola promises two years of Android updates and three years of security updates (Android 14 OS out of the box).

Sticking with the trend, the Moto G85 is also wrapped in a vegan leather finish at the back. Its body is rated with an IP52 for water and dust resistance. It was recently revealed that Motorola plans to launch some new smartphones in the global market including the Moto G85. The device recently emerged on the TENAA certification database revealing a majority of its specifications. Now, tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore has shared the remaining specifications along with renders of the smartphone.

As per Sudhasnhu, the Moto G85 features a 6.67-inch 3D Curved OLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a pixel density of 395ppi. It is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor.

The phone’s camera system includes a 50 MP main sensor (Sony IMX882) with an f/1.79 aperture, Pixel Quad 1.6μm, PDAF, and OIS; an 8 MP ultrawide sensor with an f/2.2 aperture, 118.6° field of view, 1/4.0″ sensor size, 1.12µm pixel size, and autofocus; and a 32 MP selfie camera with an f/2.45 aperture and 0.7µm pixel size. It supports 1080p video recording at 60 fps.

The device is equipped with a 5000mAh battery that supports 30W charging with QC 3+ and PD 3.0 standards. It will come with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage and runs on Android 14. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS (A-GPS), GLONASS, and USB 2.0. The audio system features two microphones, Dolby Audio stereo speakers with an intelligent PA system, and Dolby Atmos support.

The phone also includes a range of sensors: proximity, ambient light, accelerometer, gyroscope, and electronic compass. Its dimensions are 161.91 x 73.06 x 7.59 mm, and it weighs 171 grams.

The Moto G85 was recently spotted on TENAA certification site. It is launching as the Motorola S50 Neo in China on June 25. Now, the global variant has appeared on China’s 3C certification site as well as on European retailer listing revealing some key details. The Moto G85 is expected to arrive as the successor to the Moto G84 5G.

On the 3C certification site, the Moto G85 is listed with model number XT2427-4 which is for the China variant of the S50 Neo. The global variant has model numbers XT2427-2 and XT2427-3. As per the certification listing, the Moto G85 will come with support for 33W fast charging compared to 30W on its predecessor. The charger has model number MC-338 supporting speeds at 15W, 27W, 30W, and 33W during testing. 

Meanwhile, the Moto G85 was also spotted on the European retailer site. The device will be available in Gray, Olive, and Surf colors. The upcoming offering carries a price tag of EUR 349 for the 12GB + 256GB RAM and storage configuration. 

The Moto G85 is expected to launch soon in the global markets. The smartphone’s leaked renders revealed a curved display and a raised camera island on the back panel. The later is expected to accommodate 50MP and 8MP camera sensors whereas up front there will be a 32MP selfie snapper. As per TENAA, the device will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit. On June 25, Motorola will hold a launch event in China to announce the Motorola Razr 50 series of flip-style foldable phones. The same event will see the arrival of the Motorola S50 Neo, a mid-range phone, which is likely to be rebranded as the Moto G85 in markets outside of China. Notably, the Hi-Res Audio certification disclosed four model numbers: XT2427-1, XT2427-2, XT2427-3, and XT2427-4, which correspond to regional variants of the G85. Now, the TENAA (China) and BIS (India) certification platforms have approved the Chinese (XT2427-4) and Indian (XT2427-3) variants of the Moto G85, indicating that it will not take too long for it go official. While the BIS listing did not reveal significant details, the TENAA listing has uncovered key specifications for the device.

As per the TENAA listing, the Moto G85 will have a 6.6-inch OLED screen that offers an FHD+ resolution. The leaked renders of the device have revealed that it will have a curved-edge screen. The images have also revealed that it will be available in at least three shades, such as black, green, and blue.

TENAA states that a 2.3GHz octa-core processor powers the device. However, the previously seen Geekbench listing revealed that it may ship with the upcoming Snapdragon 4 Gen 3 chipset. In China, it will be offered in multiple RAM options, including 8 GB, 12 GB, 16 GB, and 18 GB, alongside storage variants of 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB. However, all these variants may not be available at the launch.

The TENAA certification suggests that the Moto G85 could be equipped with a 5,000mAh battery. However, there is no information about its rapid charging capabilities.
