From affordable options like the Motorola Edge 60 and Infinix GT 30 Pro to premium contenders like the Poco F7 and Vivo T4 Ultra, and even a compact flagship phone, the OnePlus 13s, June brought a wide range of new smartphones across various price segments. July 2025 is shaping up to be even more jam-packed for smartphone enthusiasts.

We will see many mid-range phones, including OnePlus Nord 5, Nord CE 5, Nothing Phone 3, and Oppo Reno 14 series, launching this month, alongside the latest foldables from Samsung, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. There’s also a new Ai+ smartphone brand releasing in July 2025.

If you’re looking to upgrade to a new smartphone, the wait might be worth it. To give you a clearer picture of what’s to come, we’ve listed all the upcoming devices, along with all the details we know so far.

1. Nothing Phone (3)

Nothing Phone 3 render

Launch date: July 1, 2025 (official)

The Nothing Phone (3) is launching later today. It’s expected to introduce rather significant changes to its rear design. Official-looking renders appeared recently, showing an awkward placement of the rear cameras. While Nothing hasn’t confirmed Phone (3)’s camera setup, it has confirmed that one of the three is a 50MP periscope telephoto unit.

The black circle on the right is for the Glyph Matrix. There’s no iconic Glyph Interface that we are used to seeing in Nothing phones. The brand will likely use the new Glyph Matrix in upcoming high-end phones as well.

The Phone (3) is expected to feature a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED screen with a 1.5K resolution and a 5,150mAh battery with 100W wired and 15W wireless charging support. It’s confirmed to pack the powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset for smooth performance. The phone will receive Android updates for five years and security updates for seven years.

2. AI+ Smartphones

Launch date: July 8, 2025 (official)

The new AI+ smartphone brand, led by Realme India’s former CEO, Madhav Sheth, is all set to launch its first smartphones next week. The upcoming phones — AI+ Nova 5G and AI+ — Pulse are designed and built in India and will be exclusively sold through Flipkart.

The smartphones have a starting price of INR 5,000, but this likely includes card discounts as well. We’ll have better clarity about the pricing at the launch. As for the key specs, the phones have a 5,000mAh battery and dual rear cameras led by a 50MP sensor. The phones also feature a microSD slot for up to 1TB of additional storage.

According to a recent leak, the Nova 5G will use a 6nm Unisoc T8200 chipset, while the Pulse 4G will feature a 12nm Unisoc T7250 chipset. Privacy is another key focus of the brand, as it claims all the users’ data stays in India on Google Cloud servers approved by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY).

After teasing the arrival of the Moto G96 for the past few days, Motorola has officially confirmed that the Moto G96 5G will launch in India on July 9. The Flipkart microsite for the phone has gone live, highlighting key features that set it apart. Here are five reasons why the Moto G96 5G may be worth considering.

Moto G96 launch date

144Hz curved display

Unlike the 2025 G-series models that featured flat screens, the Moto G96 5G will be the first to offer a 6.67-inch curved-edge P-OLED display. It supports a 144Hz refresh rate, 10-bit colour, 1600 nits peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection, making it one of the most advanced displays in the segment.

Ultra-premium design

The Moto G96 5G appears to feature a leather-textured rear panel, giving it a more refined and premium look. The curved display on the front complements the luxury feel. The phone will be available in four colours: green, light blue, blue, and pink.

50MP OIS-enabled camera

For photography, the device will house a 50-megapixel main camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). It uses the Sony LYT-700C sensor, which is commonly seen in mid-range to upper-mid-range smartphones, ensuring solid image performance.

Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset

Under the hood, the Moto G96 5G will be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. The same chip is also found in the Motorola Edge 60 Stylus, which debuted earlier this year. While it isn’t the latest in the 7-series lineup, it still offers respectable performance and helps keep costs in check.

Motorola is expected to launch the Moto G96 5G in India on July 9, 2025, at 12 PM. The information comes from a leaked teaser poster shared by tipster @stufflistings. The G96 5G will likely be the direct follow-up to the Moto G85 and appears to be specific to the Indian market, as the Moto G86 has already launched globally.

The leak points to some major upgrades. The phone is expected to come with a 144Hz curved P-OLED display with 10-bit FHD+ resolution, 1600 nits peak brightness, and support for 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. It will have Gorilla Glass 5 protection and use Display Color Boost technology for better visuals. The device is also said to have an IP68 rating, making it dust and water-resistant.

The Flipkart listing shows that the Moto G96 5G will come in four colors: Green, Blue, Purple, and Red. However, the leaked poster does not show the Purple variant.

The phone is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It will feature a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP LYTIA sensor and optical image stabilization. On the front, there will be a punch-hole selfie camera.

More details are expected to be revealed soon. Motorola has not confirmed the launch date or the specs yet, but all signs point to a July 9 release for the Indian market.
