As part of its latest Lightning Sale, LightInTheBox is letting smartphone fanatics get their hands on the gold and silver color versions of the Moto M XT1662 4G smartphone by shelling out only $145.31 and $135.99, respectively. Let’s check out the details.

The Chinese online retail company is currently offering a huge 75% reduction in the golden version’s $581.24 selling price for a limited period of time. Similarly, the silver-tinted Moto M, which normally carries a price tag of $554.88, will be carrying a 75% discount as well.

In terms of spec, the Moto M sports a 5.5 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It offers 4GB of RAM, 32GB ROM and packs a powerful Octa-Core processor, under the hood.
On the photography front, the phone sports a 16-megapixel camera at the back and an 8-megapixel front shooter. The Moto M draws it juices from a built-in Li-Po 3050 mAh battery and it runs on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) operating system.

Motorola which is no part of the Lenovo family seems to have officially launched the Moto M without rolling out the drums and avoiding the protocols of organizing a launch event. The mid-range Motorola Moto M has been officially listed on China’s Tmall with a somewhat high price tag of 1999 Yuan ($295).

For a 1999 Yuan device, the specifications really didn’t fly. The Moto M comes in with a 5.5-inch display with Full HD (1080 pixels) resolution. The device is powered by an Octa-core MediaTek Helio P15 chip clocked at 2.2GHz which is a bit strange on a Motorola device. The processor is complemented by an exorbitant 4GB RAM and in terms of storage, there is 32GB of internal storage.

The Motorola Moto M  adopts a splash-proof all-metal body with P2i hydrophobic coating and there is a rear fingerprint sensor on the device.The Moto M also features a cool 16MP rear camera with LED flash, Dolby Atmos sound, dual SIM slots and a 3,050mAh battery.

Basically, nothing tickles on the device for that price, when compared to other moderately priced devices like the Xiaomi Mi 5s which packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset, and a front ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, not forgetting the LeEco Pro 3 also having a cheap price tag. Perhaps the Moto M would perform better in other markets outside China.
