However, it has kept mum on what product(s) it will be announcing. Although it does tease us with the statement “a whole new way to connect, stream, download, video chat, and more”. The Moto Z3 and the Moto One Power are the two major devices that are yet to be announced. There is a chance it can be one or even both of them.

The Moto Z3 is the more likely of the two phones to be announced. Its predecessor – the Moto Z2 Force – was announced in July last year, so an early August launch isn’t far off the mark.

For now, the only confirmed spec of the Moto Z3 is a Snapdragon 845 processor. It will most definitely come with the same sized 18:9 display as the Moto Z3 Play but with a higher resolution. It should also pack dual rear cameras and may be announced along with new Moto Mods.

The Moto One Power, on the other hand, will come with a 19:9 6.2-inch screen with a notch, dual rear cameras, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a 3780mAh battery according to leaks. It will also carry the Android One branding.

The event will hold at the Motorola headquarters in Chicago, USA at 2 pm local time.

Motorola will add to the growing list of devices with a notch with the Moto One Power. One of the live photos shows the notch will house a camera, sensor, speaker and a LED flash. The added LED flash makes the notch bigger than that of the Lenovo Z5. Even with the notch, the screen of the Moto One Power doesn’t stretch to the top and even though this is a black unit, you can clearly see the top bezel.

[envira-gallery id=”197180″]

The live photos don’t show the bottom half of the screen, but we believe it is no different from the Lenovo Z5. However, there are images of the sides which show it has a SIM tray on the left while a power button and volume rocker sit on the right.

The Moto One Power also copies the dual rear camera arrangement of the iPhone X. The camera housing is slightly raised and in between the two sensors sit a LED flash. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner which also has the Motorola batwing logo. There is also Android One written at the bottom.

The phone has a USB-C port at the bottom and it is flanked on both sides by a speaker grille. Don’t get your hopes high, the Moto One Power will most likely not have stereo speakers.

The Moto One Power has a glass front and metal back. It is not a design we haven’t seen before, so it will score no points for appearance.

Coming to specs, leaks have revealed that the phone will have a 6.2-inch screen, a Snapdragon 636 processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It will also pack a 12MP + 5MP dual camera combo on the rear and an 8MP selfie camera. Its battery capacity is put at 3780mAh and it will have Android 8.1 Oreo pre-installed.

There is no release date yet but if you have been waiting for the Lenovo Z5 to launch outside China, this just might be Lenovo’s way of granting your wish.
