Motorola has officially announced the Moto Watch 70 and Watch 200 smartwatches. This is coming months after the wearable devices were first listed by online retailers. The smartwatches are both feature-packed devices that cater to different types of users. The Moto Watch 200 is the more premium model, while the Moto Watch 70 is an entry-level device that is more affordable.

The Moto Watch 200 has a sleek design with a 1.78-inch AMOLED display packed into a 45mm aluminum case. It is also waterproof, with a 5ATM rating, so users can take it for a swim or use it while showering without worrying about water damage. The watch includes a heart rate monitor, SpO2 meter, accelerometer, and altimetry. It can track over 28 different sports and comes with built-in GPS.

The Moto Watch 200 can sync data with Google Fit and Strava, allowing users to track their fitness goals seamlessly. The device also has a microphone and speaker, which makes it possible to make and receive calls directly from the watch. Under the hood is a 355mAh battery that can last up to 14 days with regular usage. The watch pairs over Bluetooth 5.3 LE to a user’s phone. Additionally, the device features fall detection alerts, which can be particularly useful for the elderly or anyone who might need extra safety precautions.

The Moto Watch 70, on the other hand, is a more affordable option that still packs a lot of features. It has a curved 1.69-inch LCD display, making it comfortable to wear and easy to read. The watch is IP67 rated, making it resistant to water and dust, but not quite as waterproof as the Moto Watch 200. The device includes a heart rate monitor and a temperature sensor, allowing users to keep track of their health and well-being. It also offers over 100 watch face options, allowing users to customize their device to suit their style.

The Moto Watch 70 pairs over Bluetooth 5.0 LE and runs on the Moto Watch OS. It has a 355mAh battery that can last up to 10 days with active usage. Although it doesn’t have built-in GPS, it can still track various activities, including steps taken, distance traveled, and calories burned. Overall, the Moto Watch 70 is an excellent option for those who want a reliable smartwatch that doesn’t break the bank.

In terms of availability and pricing, Motorola has yet to announce when the Moto Watch 70 and Moto Watch 200 will be available or how much they will cost.

Earlier this week, we had reported on an online listing on Best Buy Canada website, which revealed the pricing and specifications of the Moto Watch 70. Now, the Watch 150 and Watch 200 were also spotted on the same platform.

Talking about Watch 150 first, this model has a circular dial on the front unlike the rectangular display on the Watch 70 model. The Watch 150’s display is a 30.55mm AMOLED display and it is listed to offer up to 14 days of battery life on a single full charge. Other features listed online include 24 sports modes, step tracking, heart rate monitoring, and SpO2 blood oxygen tracking. This upcoming smartwatch model will also be available in multiple color options, namely black, rose gold, and silver.

The Moto Watch 200 also has a rectangular screen, although, its appearance is more akin to the Apple Watch design. The Best Buy listing reveals that the display will offer a 348 x 442 pixel resolution. It will even come with a silicone strap. Other notable features include 28 sports modes support, SpO2 blood oxygen mapping, heart rate monitoring, step and distance tracking, and likely various other features as well.

Unfortunately, this is all the finer details regarding specifications revealed on the online listing. Although the pricing for both upcoming Watch 150 and Watch 200 wearable models were also revealed. Apparently, both new smartwatches will be available in Canada for a price tag of 199.99 Canadian Dollars (roughly 150 US Dollars). This pricing might just be a placeholder figure ahead of the launch so take this information with a pinch of salt for now.

Almost a year after Motorola launched the Moto Watch 100, the brand is rumored to be working on its successor, called the Moto Watch 200. Earlier this month, the smartwatch was spotted on the FCC database, revealing its design and box image.

It is clear from these images that the smartwatch will feature a rectangular display, unlike its predecessor, which comes with a circular dial. Now, popular tipster SnoopyTech has tweeted out marketing images of the Moto Watch 200, which reveal a circular display.

Although it is in conflict with the FCC revealing a square dial, it is possible that Motorola is working on two designs for the smartwatch. This won’t be an uncommon practice, as we have seen brands like Amazfit and OnePlus (Nord Watch) do it before.

The FCC ID (MOSWZ200) of its squarer sibling is included alongside the brand name “Moto Watch 200” on the back of the circular smartwatch. In addition to a heart rate sensor and interchangeable watch bands, the round model allegedly offers proprietary wireless charging. The image also reveals the smartwatch hooked to a wired charger, which could or could not be a USB Type-C.

In a similar vein, the FCC’s leak stated that the Moto Watch 200 would debut with an aluminum case as well, as well as Bluetooth LE and GPS capabilities. Unsurprisingly, the smartwatch will also be water-resistant up to 5 ATM. Although a debut date has not yet been revealed, official marketing materials suggest that Motorola is very close to releasing the product. The Moto Watch 200’s FCC certification indicates that the smartwatch will also be released in North America.

Back in February, a sales presentation revealed that three new Motorola-branded smartwatches by eBuyNow (merged with CE Brands Inc) will launch in 2021. Unfortunately, the timeline has passed and we are yet to see these wearables. However, months later, we now finally get to learn more about these watches.

According to an investor press release by CE Brands Inc (via 9to5Google), Moto Watch 100 will be the brand’s newest smartwatch. This device is designed for an entry-level price point with a premium feel. It will enter mass production in November 2021.

A new operational update presentation suggests that the upcoming Moto Watch 100 will be nothing but the Moto G Smartwatch that was earlier scheduled to launch in June 2021. This wearable will have a circular dial, two oval buttons on the right side, and no crown button.

Further, the FCC certification of the watch suggests that it may not run Wear OS. If this happens to be true, we can expect the product to ship with a customized RTOS like the numerous cheap smartwatches in the market.

As of now, only a few details about the Moto Watch 100 are known apart from its design. The device will be available in two color options, namely Phantom Black and Steel Silver. It will have an aluminum casing with 5ATM water resistance. 

For connectivity, the wearable will come with Bluetooth 5.2 and GPS. It will feature a heart rate sensor and a magnetic connector at the bottom. Finally, it will be backed by a 355mAh battery.

Just like the presentation from earlier this year, the latest one also reiterates two other Motorola-branded smartwatches. These products are now called Moto Watch 100S and Moto Watch 200 instead of Moto Watch One and Moto Watch.

Both Moto Watch 100S and Moto Watch 200 are now scheduled to release in Q1 2022. The former will have a similar design as the Moto Watch 100, while the latter will look like an Apple Watch with a square dial but no crown.

Last but not least, the presentation also mentions the launch of the previously leaked Moto 360 4th Gen (earlier though to be Moto Watch One) with Qualcomm Snapdragon 4100 in Q3 2021. However, such a product was never released in the last quarter.
