<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/motorola/">Motorola</a> Edge (2023) has debuted in the US. It is positioned lower than the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/motorola-edge-plus-2023/">Motorola Edge+ (2023)</a>, which went official earlier this year in the country. Priced at $599 (<a href="https://amzn.to/3rQPCl2" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow">Amazon</a>), the company is touting the Edge (2023) as a solid alternative to the Pixel 8, which is priced at $699. Here is a look at the detailed specs of the Edge (2023).</p>

<h3><strong>Motorola Edge (2023) specifications and features</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="512" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/motorola-edge-2023-1024x512.png?x44794" alt="Motorola Edge (2023)" class="wp-image-574018" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/motorola-edge-2023-1024x512.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/motorola-edge-2023-300x150.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/motorola-edge-2023-768x384.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/motorola-edge-2023-696x348.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/motorola-edge-2023-1068x534.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/motorola-edge-2023-840x420.png 840w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/motorola-edge-2023.png 1536w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Motorola Edge (2023) </figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Starting from the front, the Motorola Edge (2023) has a 6.6-inch pOLED display that offers an FHD+ resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and up to 1200 nits of brightness. For security, it has an under-display fingerprint scanner and runs on a MyUX-based Android 14.</p>

<p>Under the hood, the Edge (2023) has the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-7030/">Dimensity 7030</a> chipset, 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage, and a 4,400mAh battery. The phone comes with support for 68W fast charging, 15W wireless charging, and 5W reverse wireless charging.</p>

<p>On the front, the Edge (2023) has a 32-megapixel selfie camera with autofocus support. On the back, there is a dual camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS support, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens that doubles up as a macro camera, and an LED flash.</p>

<p>On the connectivity front, the Motorola Edge (2023) offers 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and a USB-C port. The handset comes with a leather back and measures 158.52 x 71.99 x 7.64mm. The IP68-rated device weighs only 168 grams.</p>

<p>The specs of the Edge (2023) show that it is a slightly tweaked version of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/motorola-edge-40-neo/">Motorola Edge 40 Neo</a>, which <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/09/28/moto-edge-40-neo-on-sale-india/">debuted in India</a> recently. In comparison to the US model, the Edge 40 Neo lacks support for autofocus on its front camera and lacks wireless charging support. However, the Neo model packs a bigger battery and comes in multiple colors.</p>

<p>Available in the sleek Eclipse Black color option, the smartphone is currently on sale in the country through various retailers in the US, including motorola.com, Best Buy, and Amazon.</p>

<p>A new month is here and so is our monthly upcoming smartphone list. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/07/31/upcoming-smartphones-august-2023/">Just like August</a>, September will also see countless phone releases.</p>

<p>Again like last month, the forthcoming handsets will be spread across different categories. There will be foldables, budget models, mid-rangers, and even flagships.</p>

<p>One of the important launches will be by Apple as the tech giant will unveil its next-gen iPhones. Further, Honor will re-enter the Indian smartphone market. It will also debut a new foldable in China.</p>

<p>At least 10 brands are anticipated to announce new phones. Unsurprisingly, the list includes all the major Chinese players, in addition to the only non-Chinese popular companies Apple and Samsung.</p>

<p>Let’s take a look at all the devices that are expected to be made official by these brands.</p>

<h2><strong>Upcoming Smartphones in September 2023</strong></h2>

<h3><strong>Realme C51</strong></h3>

<p>The Realme C51 is <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/08/29/realme-c51-india-launch/">scheduled to launch in India</a> on September 4. The device is already official in Southeast Asia.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-149c1c2580-1024x683.jpg?x44794" alt="Realme C51" class="wp-image-560091" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-149c1c2580-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-149c1c2580-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-149c1c2580-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-149c1c2580-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-149c1c2580-2048x1365.jpg 2048w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-149c1c2580-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-149c1c2580-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-149c1c2580-1920x1280.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/green-149c1c2580-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>However, it is not sure if the variant set to release in India will be the same. Because the recent C series models for the region are slightly different.</p>

<p>So far, the brand has confirmed that the product will feature a flat frame design. It will look like an iPhone Pro and will be available in a blue color option.</p>

<p>The handset will be equipped with a 50Mp rear camera. Finally, it will carry support for 33W charging.</p>

<h3><strong>Motorola Moto G54 5G</strong></h3>

<p>The Motorola Moto G54 is <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/08/25/moto-g54-set-to-launch-in-china-on-september-5/">planned to go official</a> in China on September 5. It <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/08/30/moto-g54-india-launch-confirmed/">will be unveiled</a> in India a day later on September 6.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Moto-G54-5G-1024x576.png?x44794" alt="Moto G54 5G" class="wp-image-561698" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Moto-G54-5G-1024x576.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Moto-G54-5G-300x169.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Moto-G54-5G-768x432.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Moto-G54-5G-696x392.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Moto-G54-5G-1068x601.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Moto-G54-5G-747x420.png 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Moto-G54-5G.png 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Moto G54 5G</figcaption></figure>

<p>The official teasers from the brand have revealed key aspects of the product. It will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7020 chip and will be backed by a 6,000mAh battery with support for 30W charging.</p>

<p>It will be fitted with a 6.5-inch FHD+ 120Hz display, an OIS-assisted 50MP rear camera, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It is <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/08/31/moto-g84-moto-g54-prices-revealed-as-reliance-digital-accidentally-lists-both-phones-before-launch/">expected to start</a> at ₹14,999 (~$180) in India.</p>

<p>The Honor Magic Vs 2 is rumored to be an outward folding device like the Huawei Mate Xs series. On the other hand, the Honor Magic V2 Lite is said to be the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/08/16/honor-magic-v2-lite-with-snapdragon-8-gen-1-in-works-could-be-the-most-affordable-foldable-phone-in-china/">most affordable foldable smartphone</a> to release this year.</p>

<h3><strong>Samsung W24 and W24 Flip</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1000" height="563" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Fold5-Flip5.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5" class="wp-image-554380" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Fold5-Flip5.jpg 1000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Fold5-Flip5-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Fold5-Flip5-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Fold5-Flip5-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Samsung-Galaxy-Fold5-Flip5-746x420.jpg 746w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></figure>

<p>Similar to the previous W series handsets, they are anticipated to be rebranded current-gen Galaxy Z foldables from the company. So the W24 and W24 Flip will be essential premium versions of Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, respectively.</p>

<p>These devices will likely have additional design elements to differentiate themselves from the regular models.</p>

<h3><strong>Realme Narzo 60x</strong></h3>

<p>For the unaware, the Realme 11x comes with a 6.74-inch FHD+ 120Hz display (LCD), a MediaTek Dimensity 6100 Plus chipset, a 64MP rear camera, a 5,000mAh battery, and 33W charging.</p>

<h3><strong>Honor 90</strong></h3>

<p>The Honor 90 is expected to launch in India this month. The brand is yet to disclose the exact date, however, a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/08/27/honor-90-tipped-launch-date-india/">leak suggests</a> that it could go official on September 21.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Honor-90-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="Honor 90" class="wp-image-554114" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Honor-90-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Honor-90-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Honor-90-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Honor-90-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Honor-90-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Honor-90-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Honor-90.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>This smartphone is already on sale in multiple markets. Therefore, everything about it is already known. But we cannot deny the probability of the Indian variant being slightly different.</p>

<p>Anyways, the handset arrives with a 6.7-inch 1.5K 120Hz curved OLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, a 200Mp main camera, an in-screen fingerprint sensor, a 5,000mAh battery, and 66W charging.</p>

<p>Leaks suggest that the pro variant will be a tweaked version of the Redmi K60 Ultra with Leica-powered <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/08/15/xiaomi-13t-pro-camera-details-leak-reveal-it-will-be-a-tweaked-version-of-the-redmi-k60-ultra/">better camera hardware</a>. Whereas, the vanilla model will not only have a downgraded camera setup without Leica processing but also a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/08/25/xiaomi-13t-unboxing-video-emerge-before-official-launch/">less powerful chip</a>.</p>

<p>Either way, both phones will look identical in terms of design. Their looks will be based on the Xiaomi 13 series and the Redmi K60 lineup.</p>

<p>The Xiaomi 13T and Xiaomi 13T Pro are <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/08/18/xiaomi-13t-pro-uk-europe-price-leaked/">tipped</a> to start from £549 and £699, respectively.</p>

<p>In May, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/motorola">Motorola</a> unveiled the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/motorola-edge-plus-2023">Motorola Edge+ 2023</a> in the US. It debuted as a rebranded version of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/motorola-moto-x40">Moto X40</a> available in the Chinese market and the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/motorola-edge-40-pro">Edge 40 Pro</a> available in Europe. While there have been no concrete leaks about the specifications of the Edge 2023, it appears that it could be a rebadged version of the Edge 40 available in Europe and India. <em>Pricebaba</em> has shared a leaked render of the Edge 2023 to give a first look at its design.</p>

<h3><strong>Motorola Edge 2023 render</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="829" height="715" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Motrola-Edge-2023-render.jpg?x44794" alt="Motrola Edge 2023 render" class="wp-image-562214" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Motrola-Edge-2023-render.jpg 829w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Motrola-Edge-2023-render-300x259.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Motrola-Edge-2023-render-768x662.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Motrola-Edge-2023-render-696x600.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Motrola-Edge-2023-render-487x420.jpg 487w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Motrola-Edge-2023-render-534x462.jpg 534w" sizes="(max-width: 829px) 100vw, 829px" /><figcaption>Motrola Edge 2023 renderMotrola Edge 2023 render by Pricebaba</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The leaked render shows that the Edge 2023 resembles the Edge 40 in appearance. The device features a curved-edge OLED display, an in-screen fingerprint scanner, and a dual-camera setup on the back. It appears that the back panel of the phone has a leather-like texture. It is unclear in which other colors the Edge 2023 will be available apart from the black edition shown in the leaked render.</p>

<h3><strong>Motorola Edge 2023 specifications (expected)</strong></h3>

<p>The Motorola Edge 2023 is likely to pack the same specifications that are available on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/motorola-edge-40">Motorola Edge 40</a>. The device will arrive with a 6.55-inch P-OLED panel that offers Full HD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It will feature a 32-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel (main, with OIS) + 13-megapixel (ultra-wide) dual-camera system. It will have an under-display fingerprint sensor and run on My UX-based Android 13.</p>

<p>The Edge 2023 will feature the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-8020">Dimensity 8020</a> chipset, 12GB of RAM, and a 4,400mAh battery with 68W wired and 15W wireless charging. The phone will arrive with 256 GB of internal storage.</p>
