<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Back in late December 2020, Motorola </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/12/22/motorola-android-11-os-update-list-of-eligible-devices-confirmed/"><span style="font-weight: 400">released</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> a list of smartphones that will be updated to </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Android-11/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Android 11</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">. But unfortunately, the company did not reveal when these phones will be receiving the update.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Anyway, the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Lenovo/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Lenovo</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">-owned brand started rolling out last year’s Android update </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/01/30/motorola-moto-g-pro-android-11-update/"><span style="font-weight: 400">starting with Moto G Pro</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> in late January. Few handsets later, this update is now finally being seeded out to Motorola One Hyper.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">As of now, the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/motorola-one-hyper/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Motorola One Hyper</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> Android 11 update is live in Brazil. Apart from bringing new features, the latest system update for this device also bumps up the security patch level to March 2021.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">That said, like any other OTA update, this one is also being rolled out in batches. Therefore, it may take time to reach every unit in the country. Similarly, we can also expect </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Motorola/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Motorola</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> to start seeding out the update in other regions in the coming days.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Chen Jin, the General Manager of Lenovo China Mobile Phone Business Department </span><a href="http://weibo.com/5517268716/JFnqd3mIG"><span style="font-weight: 400;">posted</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> a video on Weibo before Xiaomi’s big announcement. The video demonstrates the company’s true wireless charging tech.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lenovo calls this over the air charging tech ‘Motorola One Hyper’. It is weird for the company to name its innovative solution after a </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/motorola-one-hyper/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">budget smartphone from late 2019</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">That said, the video showcases a black-colored device (true wireless charger) and two smartphones, which look like </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Motorola/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Motorola</span></a> <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/motorola-edge/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Edge</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">/</span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/motorola-edge-plus/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Edge+</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. These handsets start charging without any contact with the charger over the air when they are placed at 80cm and 100cm away respectively.</span></p>
<div style="width: 368px;" class="wp-video"><!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('video');</script><![endif]-->
<video class="wp-video-shortcode" id="video-368345-1" width="368" height="640" preload="metadata" controls="controls"><source type="video/mp4" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Lenovo-Motorola-One-Hyper-True-Wireless-Over-The-Air-Charging-Technology.mp4?_=1" /><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Lenovo-Motorola-One-Hyper-True-Wireless-Over-The-Air-Charging-Technology.mp4">https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Lenovo-Motorola-One-Hyper-True-Wireless-Over-The-Air-Charging-Technology.mp4</a></video></div>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At the end of the video, the person demonstrating the tech places their hand in the line of sight of the charger and the phones. At that moment, the devices stop charging, which suggests that Lenovo has engineered this charging stand to terminate charging when a human or any foreign object is detected, for safety.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Unfortunately, Lenovo hasn’t shared any more details about this technology. But the video does confirm that this charging tech is based on Qi and it can be used to charge up to seven devices.</span></p>

It is the first <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/motorola">Motorola</a> phone with a pop-up selfie camera. However, its “Hyper“ name is actually gotten from its 45W “Hyper Charging” feature.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-293321" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Motorola-One-Hyper-featured.png?x92417" alt="Motorola One Hyper featured" width="505" height="378" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Motorola-One-Hyper-featured.png 505w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Motorola-One-Hyper-featured-300x225.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Motorola-One-Hyper-featured-80x60.png 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Motorola-One-Hyper-featured-265x198.png 265w" sizes="(max-width: 505px) 100vw, 505px" /></p>
<h4><strong>Design</strong></h4>
<p>The Motorola One Hyper&#8217;s adoption of the pop-up selfie camera design means there are no notches or punch holes to distract your viewing experience. The bezels are really slim, including the chin when compared to other Motorola phones.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t be fooled by the glossy back, it is not glass but plastic. Motorola does say the phone has a water repellent design. While leaked renders have shown the phone in multiple colors, only the Deep Sea Blue variant is available.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-293323" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Motorola-One-Hyper-Blue.png?x92417" alt="Motorola One Hyper" width="970" height="445" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Motorola-One-Hyper-Blue.png 970w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Motorola-One-Hyper-Blue-300x138.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Motorola-One-Hyper-Blue-768x352.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Motorola-One-Hyper-Blue-696x319.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Motorola-One-Hyper-Blue-916x420.png 916w" sizes="(max-width: 970px) 100vw, 970px" /></p>
<h4><strong>Specifications</strong></h4>
<p>The phone has a 6.5-inch Total Vision display with a 2340 x 1080 resolution and a 90% screen-to-body ratio. Under the gradient body is a Snapdragon 675 processor and it has been paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There is support for storage expansion via a MicroSD card slot. Owners will be able to add up to 1TB of storage.</p>
<p>The Motorola One Hyper is also the first Motorola phone with a 64MP primary camera. It has been paired with an 8MP ultrawide angle sensor for a dual-camera setup. The secondary camera has a 118° viewing angle and allows you to fit 4x more into your frame than a standard camera.</p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" width="696" height="392" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/SwrOjAlFQuE?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<p>The pop-up camera is a 32MP sensor and it can shoot quad-pixel 8MP photos too. The camera has AI features such as smart composition, auto smile capture, AI portrait lighting, and shot optimization. There is also a night mode available for the 32MP selfie and 64MP rear camera. Motorola has also added a laser autofocus system to allow you to focus the camera instantly and Electronic Image Stabilization. The phone has a portrait mode, a manual mode, spot color, slow motion mode, cinemagraph, high-res zoom, and support for RAW output.</p>
<p>The Motorola One Hyper has a 4000mAh battery that supports a new fast-charging technology it calls Hyper Charging. However, you only get a 15W TurboCharger in the box. Motorola says you have to purchase the 45W charger separately. However, if you have a USB PD 3.0 charger, that should work according to Motorola. The manufacturer says the phone should provide up to 38 hours of battery life.</p>
<p>The phone has NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner with a notification LED ring around it. It also has an audio jack, Dolby Audio, and a USB Type-C port. There are two variants of the phone &#8211; a Single SIM version with a MicroSD card slot and a Dual-SIM version with a hybrid SIM tray. The phone uses a nano-SIM.</p>
<p>Motorola ships the phone with Android 10 out of the box and includes Moto Actions such as Quick Capture, Fast Flashlight, Three Finger Screenshot, and Pick Up to Silence.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-293325" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Motorola-One-Hyper-Price-b.png?x92417" alt="Motorola One Hyper Price" width="870" height="782" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Motorola-One-Hyper-Price-b.png 870w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Motorola-One-Hyper-Price-b-300x270.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Motorola-One-Hyper-Price-b-768x690.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Motorola-One-Hyper-Price-b-696x626.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Motorola-One-Hyper-Price-b-467x420.png 467w" sizes="(max-width: 870px) 100vw, 870px" /></p>

The manufacturer has announced that it will unveil a new device on the 3rd of December in Brazil, and based on the teaser poster, we know the launch is for the Motorola One Hyper.</p>
<p>The Motorola One Hyper will be the first phone from the manufacturer with a pop-up selfie camera. Live photos and specs of the device leaked last month and they revealed the phone will have a 32MP pop-up selfie camera that slides out from the top right corner while the rear will house 64MP + 8MP dual camera sensors.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-292016" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Motorola-One-Hyper-launch.jpg?x92417" alt="Motorola One Hyper launch" width="1000" height="563" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Motorola-One-Hyper-launch.jpg 1000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Motorola-One-Hyper-launch-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Motorola-One-Hyper-launch-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Motorola-One-Hyper-launch-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Motorola-One-Hyper-launch-746x420.jpg 746w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></p>
<p>The phone is said to support 4K video recording at 30fps, 1080p slow-motion recording at 120fps, and HD slow-motion recording at 240fps.</p>
<p>The rest of the specs are a 6.39-inch LCD FHD+ display, a Snapdragon 675 processor with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. It will also have NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, and an audio jack. The leak also revealed it has a 3600mAh battery with support for 15W TurboCharge and runs Android 9 Pie out of the box.</p>
<p>The poster says the event will begin at 9:30 am local time but there is no info about the venue.</p>
<p>This may not be the last Motorola phone to launch this year as the Moto G8 has still not been announced.</p>

However, these are not the only Motorola phones we are expecting to launch before the end of the year. The Lenovo-owned company is expected to launch its first phone with a pop-up selfie camera too, and new info reveals it may arrive as the Motorola One Hyper.</p>
<p>The info comes from a tweet by Mishaal Rahman, Editor-in-Chief of <em>XDA-Developers</em>. The tweet which was posted a few days ago says the Motorola One Hyper is likely the same phone with a pop-up camera that first leaked back in August and was followed by a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/10/07/the-upcoming-motorola-one-leaks-in-its-full-glory/">couple of live photos</a> a few weeks ago. Prior to this, the phone was originally called the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/motorola-one/">Motorola One</a> which itself is weird since there is already a phone with that name.</p>

<p><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script></p>
<p>The Motorola One Hyper has the model number XT027-1. It is powered by a Snapdragon 675 processor and will run Android 10 out of the box. If it is indeed the Motorola phone with a pop-up camera then it should also have a 6.39-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display, a 32MP pop-up selfie camera, 64MP + 8MP dual rear cameras, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, NFC, and a 3600mAh battery.</p>
