Now, in a similar fashion, the Motorola One Vision has also started receiving the latest major Android OS update.

According to official statements, the company has started the roll out of the new stable build of Android 10 via OTA to One Vision owners in Brazil. Furthermore, the official software support page of Motorola has stated that the major update has started being from 6th January 2020. The update roll out is following a staggered manner with a few devices receiving it before the rest. Notably, every Motorola One Vision device will receive the update before 6th February 2020.

The major update brings Google’s latest Android 10 OS alongside the January 2020 security patches. It carries the build number QSA30.62-24 and brings many new features and improvements across the board. This includes the much requested system wide dark mode, a new gesture navigation system, Focus mode, Live Caption support, revamped permissions and a lot more.

For those wishing to check if their Motorola One Vision has received the update, go to Settings > System > System updates. Once there, users can check if their device is eligible for the update. However, considering the update has just started in Brazil, it should arrive in the aforementioned region in the coming weeks.

Design

We usually award the most innovative form factors and, in this case, the most innovative designs belong to the Xiaomi Mi 9T and the Motorola One Vision. The former comes with a pop-up design and no holes on the display, while the latter has a tall punch-hole display which includes a selfie camera. I like both the punch-hole and the pop-up designs, but I personally prefer the Xiaomi Mi 9T due to its stunning glass back and the in-display fingerprint reader making the rear side cleaner. Some may still go for the Reno Z for its cleaner and original glass back, but Xiaomi Mi 9T is undoubtedly the most stunning one for me.

Display

Despite having a very tall and cinematic 21:9 aspect ratio, the display of the Motorola One Vision is not able to provide the same viewing quality as the Xiaomi Mi 9T which takes the first place even in the display comparison, alongside the Reno Z. Xiaomi Mi 9T is equipped with a bezel-less and notch-less display supporting the HDR standard for richer colors. It even has deeper blacks thanks to the AMOLED panel, as well as an in-display fingerprint reader. Even Oppo Reno Z is HDR-compliant, but it has a notch.

Specs & Software

Noone of these handsets is a flagship, but they still feature advanced performances. The most powerful is the Xiaomi Mi 9T equipped with the best Snapdragon 7xx series chipset by Qualcomm: the Snapdragon 730. If you want a better SoC than this, you can only go for the Snapdragon 8xx series which includes all Qualcomm’s flagship processors. Xiaomi Mi 9T also comes with up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage, so it is almost a flagship. On the other hand, despite having a way cheaper Snapdragon 660, Motorola One Vision is still a very valid device as it is part of the Android One program. So, it comes with a lightweight stock Android version which will be updated faster and for a lot of time, directly by Google. Oppo Reno Z sits in the middle with a pretty nice Helio P90 chipset and 6 GB of RAM.

Camera

All of these devices come with a great camera department, but I personally like the photo quality of the Xiaomi Mi 9T and Motorola One Visione more than the Oppo Reno Z. Xiaomi Mi 9T is essentially a more versatile device as it comes with both ultrawide sensor and telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. But Motorola One Vision has a more stunning photo quality in low-light conditions thanks to OIS and a bright f/1.7 aperture for the main sensor. Do you prefer a slightly inferior photo quality with a more versatile camera department or a better photo quality without ultrawide sensors and optical zoom?

Battery

Unfortunately, we still had no chance to test the battery life of the whole trio. As for now, we can tell you that Xiaomi Mi 9T and Oppo Reno Z may last noticeably more than Motorola One Vision on a single charge, while there should not be an important difference in battery life between Mi 9T and Reno Z.

Price

Xiaomi Mi 9T’s official price is still unknown at the moment, but it should cost around €350/$400. Motorola One Vision starts from €300/$340, while Oppo Reno Z costs €330/$375 in Asia but it is still not available in Europe. Overall, Xiaomi Mi 9T is a better option due to its amazing display, big battery, and awesome hardware.

Now, the company seems to be all set to launch the smartphone in India as Motorola has scheduled a launch event in India on 20th June.

This is in line with our previous reporting where we said that the Motorola One Vision could get launched in India in June for a price of around Rs. 25,000. For comparison, the phone is priced at around 299 Euros (approx. Rs. 23,500) in Saudi Arabia and Thailand.

The smartphone comes with a 6.3-inch FHD+ (1080 x 2520 pixels) display with a taller 21:9 aspect ratio. The company is calling this display CinemaVision (which is similar to Sony’s CinemaVision display) but unlike Sony’s display, this one comes with a punch hole.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the Samsung Exynos 9609 octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz and is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It comes with a hybrid SIM card slot allowing you to swap the secondary SIM for a microSD card of up to 512GB.

The highlight of the smartphone is the camera setup. It comes with a 48MP f/1.7 Quad Pixel camera with OIS on the back and it is paired with a 5MP f/2.2 depth sensor. The camera has a feature called Night Vision for incredible shots at night similar to the Pixel’s own Night Sight. Other camera features are 8x digital zoom, Portrait mode, Cinemagraph mode, Best Photo, Instant Camera, and YouTube Live mode.

On the front side, the phone features a 25MP f/2.0 Quad Pixel selfie camera which also has 8x digital zoom, Cinemagraph mode, Auto HDR, a manual mode, portrait mode, and a YouTube Live mode.

Given that the Motorola One Vision is an Android One device, it runs the almost stock version of Android 9 Pie operating system out-of-the-box with some Motorola-exclusive features. The company has confirmed that the phone will get updated to Android Q and Android R and will receive security updates for 3 years.

Other features of the device include a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The smartphone is powered by a 3,500mAh battery which comes with support for TurboPower fast charging.

Fresh information shared by 91mobiles states that the company may launch the smartphone in India in June. Also, the One Vision phone could be priced at Rs. 25,000.

Motorola One Vision Price in India

At the beginning of this month, the Motorola One Vision with model number XT1970-3 had received approval from Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). Its appearance had suggested that India will be one of the markets where Motorola will be releasing the One Vison smartphone. The pricing speculation of Rs. 25,000 for the smartphone is based on its cost in other markets. In Saudi Arabia and Thailand, its Recommended Retail Price (RRP) is around 299 euros (~Rs.23,500). In Brazil, it is already available for purchase with a price tag of BRL 1,999 (~Rs. 34,500).

Blass not revealed any information on the specs of the Motorola One Pro and One Action. The Lenovo-owned company has recently launched the Motorola One Vision smartphone. Probably, the One Pro and One Actions may debut later this year.

The One Action moniker suggests it could be a rugged phone. The One Pro smartphone could end up as the most powerful One series phone from the company. These devices are expected to come loaded with Android One edition of Android 9 Pie OS.

The Chinese wing of the company has taken to Weibo to confirm that it will be launching a new phone called Motorola P50 in China in June. It appears that the Motorola One Vision could be releasing in China as Motorola P50 in June.

Last year, Motorola had released Android One smartphones such as Motorola One Play and One Power. Both phones were made available in China as Motorola P30 Play and P30 Power. Hence, it is very likely that the recently announced One Vision Android One phone could be heading to China as P-series phone. As the teaser image reveals, the company will be launching the next P-series phone as Motorola P50, and not as P40 as recent rumors had claimed.

The Motorola P50 smartphone features a punch-hole display. The rear side of the phone is not entirely visible and only the logo of the company can be seen. However, it could be housing a vertically arranged dual camera setup at its top-left corner. The front and rear design of the phone resembles with the Motorola One Vision. If the One Vision really arrives in China as Motorola P50, it will be loaded with ZUI based Android 9 Pie OS. The company is expected to confirm on its exact launch date in the coming weeks.

More details added.]

The Motorola One Vision was announced today at an event in Brazil. The new mid-range device packs some pretty interesting features but its price tag (in Brazil) is on the high side.

The Motorola One Vision’s stand-out feature is its display. It has a 6.3” FHD+ (1080 x 2520) display with a 21:9 aspect ratio which means it is pretty tall. Motorola has named it CinemaVision (similar to Sony’s CinemaVision display) and unlike Sony’s own display, this one has a punch hole. A pretty big one at that. There is a bit of bezel at the bottom of the screen too but that is expected. With the CinemaVision display, you should enjoy the cinematographic experience it provides.

The phone is powered by the Exynos 9609, a 2.2GHz octa- processor that is paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. A hybrid dual SIM slot will let you swap the second SIM for a MicroSD card (512GB max.).

Another selling point of the Motorola One Vision is its cameras. It has a 48MP f/1.7 Quad Pixel camera with OIS on the back and it is paired with a 5MP f/2.2 depth sensor. The camera has a feature called Night Vision for incredible shots at night similar to the Pixel’s own Night Sight. Other camera features are 8x digital zoom, Portrait mode, Cinemagraph mode, Best Photo, Instant Camera, and YouTube Live mode e.t.c.

The punch hole is home to a 25MP f/2.0 Quad Pixel selfie camera which also has 8x digital zoom, Cinemagraph mode, Auto HDR, a manual mode, portrait mode, and a YouTube Live mode. The phone is an Android One device, so you get Google Photos as the default gallery app and free backup of high-quality photos.

The Motorola One Vision runs Android 9 Pie and has Motorola-exclusive features (Moto Actions). Motorola says the phone will get updated to Android Q and Android R and will receive security updates for 3 years starting from its launch this month.

There is a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It packs a 3500mAh battery with support for TurboPower ultra-fast charge.

READ MORE: Motorola RAZR (2019) foldable phone’ press renders leaked

The phone is available in Sapphire Blue and Bronze with a double gradient layer, rounded edges, and 4D glass. The phone is priced at R$ 1,999 (~$500) and is available right away for purchase on the official Motorola Brazil site. That is pretty expensive no doubt but the high price is as a result of Brazil’s high tax. Included in the box are a protective case and stereo headphones.

The phone will be available in Mid-May in Europe with a price tag of €299 (~$335). It will be available in Saudi Arabia and Thailand tomorrow (May 16th) and in Asia, the Middle East, and Australia in the coming months.

The phone is a pretty interesting one because of the processor powering it. This time around, Motorola isn’t going with Qualcomm‘s Snapdragon SoCs or MediaTek‘s but Samsung‘s Exynos chipset. More details about the phone have surfaced including some new renders.

The Motorola One Vision was originally reported to be powered by the Exynos 9610 but a new report from Winfuture.de says the chipset is actually the Exynos 9609. This SoC is said to be an octa-core processor like the Exynos 9610 but with a lower clock speed – 2.2GHz against’s the 9610’s 2.3GHz. There is no official documentation on the SoC, so we can’t provide more details.

The Exynos 9609 is paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage for the European variant of the phone.

There are also new details related to the camera. The Motorola One Vision will have dual rear cameras made up of a 48MP primary camera with an f/1.7 aperture and optical image stabilization and a 5MP secondary sensor. According to the source, the phone will have a dedicated Night Vision mode for taking better images in low-light environments. It will also have a special camera mode for movie-like recording alongside 4K recording at 30fps and 1080p recording at 60fps.

The Motorola One Vision will have a punch hole display like the Galaxy A8s and inside the hole is a 25MP f/2.0 selfie camera. Winfuture confirms the phone indeed has a 6.3-inch LCD display with a 2520 x 1080 resolution and a 21:9 aspect ratio. This is the same aspect ratio as Sony’s new Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus phones. However, you don’t end up with an unusually tall phone as the One Vision measures 160.1 x 71.2 x 8.7 millimeters.

The rest of the specs includes a 3500mAh battery with TurboPower fast charging. There is NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, and dual-band Wi-Fi.

The Motorola One Vision is expected to launch on May 15 in Brazil and will be available for purchase the following day in Europe. There is no info on the price yet but it has been reported that early buyers in Europe will get a free pair of Motorola Verve Earbuds which normally sell for €130.

There are also a bunch of press renders for you to feast your eyes on. We particularly dig the blue variant and wish it had a starry finish on the back to match its wallpaper.

Zooming into the dual camera setup in the above image reveals that it includes a 48-megapixel primary lens with f/1.7 aperture and Quad Pixel technology. The Android One branding can be also seen towards the bottom of the back panel.

Moving to the frontside of the Motorola One Vision, it features a punch-hole display. Previous reports have revealed that the smartphone is equipped with a 6.2-inch display that offers a tall aspect ratio of 21:9. It may carry support for full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2520 pixels.
Original Story follows..

In February, Motorola had launched the Moto G7, Moto G7 Plus, Moto G7 Play and Moto G7 Power smartphones in Brazil. The Lenovo-owned company is gradually making these phones available in wider markets. Fresh information reveals that the company has already started working on successor models for the Moto G7 series. An Indian publication has collaborated with popular tipster OnLeaks to share the renders and 360-degree video of the forthcoming Moto G8 smartphone.

The render of the Moto G8 reveals that it bears resemblance with the upcoming Motorola One Vision smartphone. Like the One Vision phone, the Moto G8 is equipped with a punch-hole display. However, instead of dual rear cameras found on the One Vision, the G8 is blessed with a triple camera setup.

According to OnLeaks, the Moto G8 has 160.1 x 71.2 x 9.1mm dimensions. The thickest part of the phone is where the triple cameras are located. The camera bump increases the thickness of the device to 9.7mm. The handset houses a 6.2-inch punch-hole display. The upcoming One Vision also features the same-sized punch-hole display. The bottom bezel of the phone is thick enough to house the brand name of the company. The remaining three bezels are very slim. An earpiece can be found on the edge of the slim bezel above the display.

On the rear side of the Moto G8 is a vertically aligned triple camera module at the top-left corner. It is followed by a dual-LED flash. Without going into the details of all the three camera sensors, the leakster has claimed that the phone is equipped with a 12-megapixelt triple camera setup. There is no information available on the other specifications of the Moto G8.

Placed on the bottom side of the Moto G8 is a microUSB 2.0 port, an external speaker grill and a microphone. The right edge of the phone has buttons for controlling volume and power. An ejectable SIM card tray can be found on its left side. Another microphone and a 3.5mm audio jack are available on the top edge of the Moto G8. The Motorola batwing logo on the rear shell of the device is integrated with a fingerprint sensor.

There is no confirmation on the launch date of the Moto G8. Now that the G7 series is being made available in different markets, the Moto G8 series may get introduced at least after six months from now. Motorola is known for announcing its G-series of smartphones in the first quarter of the year. Hence, there is a possibility that the Moto G8 series get unveiled in the first quarter of 2020.

The phone which was spotted on Geekbench earlier this week is said to be the global version of the Motorola P40. These new details which were first reported by XDA-Developers reveal more of the phone’s specifications.

The Motorola One Vision is said to be codenamed “Robusta2” which confirms it is a successor to the Motorola One and Motorola One Power which are codenamed “RobustaS” and “RobustaNote” respectively. It will be powered by the 10nm Exynos 9610 as revealed by Geekbench and come in 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM variants with 32GB, 64GB, or 128GB of storage.

The phone will have a screen resolution of 2520 x 1080 and an aspect ratio of 21:9. There is no confirmation of the screen size but previous leaks have said the Motorola P40 has a 6.2-inch screen.

The phone will have a 48MP primary camera that shoots 12MP by default. There is no info on the secondary cameras but Motorola is said to be working on two camera features called “Video 3D HDR” and “Long Exposure”. The latter is supposed to be for better low-light images where the sensors can take in more light.

The Motorola One Vision will launch with Android 9 Pie out of the box with Digital Wellbeing and ARCore support. It will also come with Motorola features like Moto Actions, Moto Display, and Face Unlock. The phone will also have Dolby audio.

The phone’s model numbers are as follows – XT1970-1, XT1970-2. and XT1970-3. There is no confirmation yet but the aforementioned models might include Brazillian and Indian variants of the Motorola One Vision. The phone will come in Blue and Gold but there might be other colors at launch.
