<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/motorola">Motorola</a> Razr+ 2023 is expected to launch soon in China. The company has already <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/04/24/motorola-razr-2023-official-teaser-video-confirms-large-horizontal-secondary-display/">started teasing the flip phone</a> in the home market. Rumors are rife that it will come equipped with the largest cover screen seen on a flip phone. It appears that Lenovo Group General Manager for Mobile Phone Business Division, Chen Jin may have revealed the actual size of its cover display.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="518" height="586" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/motorola-razr-2023-cover-screen-size.jpg?x10805" alt="motorola razr+ 2023 cover screen size" class="wp-image-532424" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/motorola-razr-2023-cover-screen-size.jpg 518w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/motorola-razr-2023-cover-screen-size-265x300.jpg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/motorola-razr-2023-cover-screen-size-371x420.jpg 371w" sizes="(max-width: 518px) 100vw, 518px" /></figure></div>

<p>In the screenshot above, Jin has mentioned &#8220;3.5-inch&#8221; twice while teasing the Motorola Razr+ 2023’s cover screen size. Hence, it appears that it could be equipped with a 3.5-inch cover display. However, the company is yet to directly confirm it. In fact, the new teaser poster revealed by the brand only mentions the size as 3.x-inch, which at least confirms that it will be <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/04/20/motorola-officially-teased-moto-razr-2023-foldable-phone/">larger than 3 inches</a>.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/motorola-rarzr-screen-size-hint-768x1024.jpg?x10805" alt="motorola razr+ 2023 screen size hint" class="wp-image-532423" width="734" height="978" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/motorola-rarzr-screen-size-hint-768x1024.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/motorola-rarzr-screen-size-hint-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/motorola-rarzr-screen-size-hint-696x928.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/motorola-rarzr-screen-size-hint-1068x1424.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/motorola-rarzr-screen-size-hint-315x420.jpg 315w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/motorola-rarzr-screen-size-hint.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 734px) 100vw, 734px" /><figcaption>Motorola razr+ 2023 screen size hint</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Samsung is also expected to launch the Galaxy Z Flip 5 in August this year. Rumors have claimed that it will have a 3.4-inch cover display. In comparison, the Razr+ 2023 is likely to feature a slightly bigger cover screen.</p>

<p>Rumors surrounding the Razr+ 2023 have claimed that some markets may receive the same device with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/04/06/motorola-razr-to-be-sold-as-moto-razr-40-ultra-in-some-regions-suggests-tdra/">Motorola Razr 40 Ultra moniker</a>. The company is yet to confirm the name of the device.</p>

<p>As per reports, it will have a 6.7-inch OLED foldable screen that offers an FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-plus-gen-1">Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1</a> chipset will be the device&#8217;s power source.</p>

<p>The Razr+ 2023 is likely to ship with a<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/03/30/motorola-razr-plus-2023-stops-by-fcc/"> 3,640mAh battery</a> and support <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/04/03/motorola-razr-2023-receives-3c-certification/">33W fast charging</a>. It will arrive with 8 GB / 12 GB of RAM. The phone will run on the UX-based Android 13 OS. At present, there is no information available about the cameras of the Razr+ 2023.</p>

<p>Recent reports have revealed that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/motorola">Motorola</a> Razr+ (2023) and Motorola Razr 40 Ultra are the same device for different markets. The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/04/06/motorola-razr-to-be-sold-as-moto-razr-40-ultra-in-some-regions-suggests-tdra/">TDRA certification</a> has revealed that the Motorola device with model number XT2321-1 will be called the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra. Hence, the device is expected to carry the said moniker in the UAE. However, in other markets, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/03/16/motorola-razr-plus-2023-leak/">XT2321</a>-2/3/5 model number variants are likely to be called the Razr+ 2023. Today, the Razr 40 Ultra appeared on Geekbench to reveal the key specifications of the device.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image is-style-default"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="644" height="820" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Motorola-Razr-40-ultra-geekbench.png?x10805" alt="Motorola Razr 40 Ultra Geekbench listing" class="wp-image-530769" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Motorola-Razr-40-ultra-geekbench.png 644w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Motorola-Razr-40-ultra-geekbench-236x300.png 236w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Motorola-Razr-40-ultra-geekbench-330x420.png 330w" sizes="(max-width: 644px) 100vw, 644px" /><figcaption>Motorola Razr 40 Ultra Geekbench listing</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset powering the Razr 40 Ultra is evident from its Geekbench listing. As usual, the name of the chipset is not explicitly mentioned in the listing. However, the CPU details in the listing and the GPU information available through its source code reveal that it is equipped with the SD8+G1 SoC.</p>

<p>The listing further states that the Razr 40 Ultra has 8 GB of RAM and Android 13. The OS is likely to be overlaid with Motorola’s My UX 5. In the single-core and multi-core tests of Geekbench 6, the device scored 1285 and 3810 points, respectively.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image is-style-default"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="571" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Motorola-Razr-2023-render-1024x571.png?x10805" alt="Motorola Razr+ 2023 render" class="wp-image-530770" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Motorola-Razr-2023-render-1024x571.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Motorola-Razr-2023-render-300x167.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Motorola-Razr-2023-render-768x428.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Motorola-Razr-2023-render-696x388.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Motorola-Razr-2023-render-1068x595.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Motorola-Razr-2023-render-753x420.png 753w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Motorola-Razr-2023-render.png 1225w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Motorola Razr+ 2023 render</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Reports have claimed that it may house the same 6.7-inch foldable AMOLED panel, which offers an FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, that was made available on the Motorola Razr 2022 last year. Also, it is expected to feature the largest cover screen available on a flip phone. The rumor mill is yet to spill the other specifications of the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra.</p>

<p>In related news, the Lenovo-owned brand is said to be working on an affordable Razr flip phone. The CAD<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/04/16/alleged-motorola-razr-lite-cad-renders-emerge-to-reveal-design/"> renders of the alleged Motorola Razr Lite</a> revealed that it will feature a foldable screen with slim bezels, a dual-camera unit with an LED flash on the back, and a small-sized cover display, which will be enough to display information like time and notifications.</p>

<p>Motorola was the first brand to release a commercial foldable smartphone. However, it did not keep up with the competition. Since 2019, the company has only released three clamshell foldables. Out of these, last year’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/motorola-moto-razr-2022/">Razr 2022</a> was limited to a select few users.</p>

<p>Back in February, we <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/02/22/motorola-razr-2023-leaked-renders/">got to see the renders</a> of this year’s new Razr. A couple of weeks back, a report even revealed its official marketing along with a few features. Now, the device has been certified by FCC.</p>

<p>As per <a href="https://www.mysmartprice.com/gear/motorola-razr-plus-2023-fcc-certification-launch-soon/"><em>FCC</em></a>, the upcoming <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/Motorola/">Motorola</a> Razr Plus 2023 with model number XT2321 will come with support for multiple 5G band support. Further, it will be backed by a 3,640mAh battery. For comparison, the Razr 2022 has a 3,500mAh cell.</p>

<p>An earlier <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/03/16/motorola-razr-plus-2023-leak/">report</a> said that the handset will carry support for 30W fast wired charging. However, the FCC documentation says that it will ship with a 33W charger.</p>

<p>The same report also disclosed some of the key features of the smartphone. It is said to arrive with a 3.7-inch cover display, which is even larger than Oppo Find N2 Flip’s 3.26-inch cover screen.</p>

<p>Unfortunately, that’s all the information we have on the device right now. We are looking forward to learning more about it in the coming days.</p>
