Motorola has launched new revou 2 series TVs in India. The new smart TVs are available in HD, Full HD, and 4K resolutions, so let’s take a closer look at their specs and features.

Motorola revou 2

Motorola revou 2 smart TVs are offered in three resolutions with different sizes. The HD ready TV is available with a 32-inch screen, the Full HD resolution TVs come with 40-inch and 43-inch panels and the 4K resolution revou 2 smart TVs are offered with 43-inch, 50-inch, and 55-inch panel sizes. All of the Motorola revou 2 series runs Android TV 11 operating system and feature 24W speakers with Dolby Audio (HD and Full HD) and Dolby Atmos (4K).

4K resolution TVs

The 4K variants feature 3840 × 2160 pixels resolution with 60Hz refresh rate. They come with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support, HDR10, 4D sound, MEMC, and ALLM features. They have a contrast ratio of 5000:1 and come with Low Blue Light Emission technology. Under the hood, the TVs come with a quad-core MediaTek processor with Mali G52 MP2 GPU. The SoC is paired with 2GB RAM and 8GB storage.

Full HD resolution TVs

The Full HD variants have a 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution with a 60Hz refresh rate and a viewing angle of 178°. It has a 5000:1 (Dynamic) contrast ratio and 300 nits brightness with Low Blue Light Emissions technology. It features a MediaTek quad-core processor with Mali G31 MP2 GPU, 2GB RAM, and 8GB storage.

HD Ready resolution TVs

The 32-inch HD Ready TV comes with a 1366 x 768 pixels resolution, 178° viewing angle with 5000:1 (Dynamic) contrast, 300nits of brightness, and Low Blue Light Emission technology. It has a quad-core MediaTek processor with Mali G31 MP2 GPU, 2GB RAM, 8GB storage.

Connectivity options offered on the Motorola revou 2 series smart TVs are –  Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz), Bluetooth, 2 (HD and Full HD) / 3 (4K) x HDMI ports, 2x USB 2.0, Ethernet.

Motorola made its debut in the TV segment in 2019 with its Motorola TV lineup. The company offered some stunning TVs with diverse display size options including 32-inch, 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch models with a borderless display, AmphiSoundX technology, and MEMC technology. The TVs came with Android TV Pie OS out-of-the-box and with connectivity options such as 4x HDMI port, USB port, TV input, SPDIF port, built-in Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. Now, it has been tipped that Motorola is all set to launch a new TV in the Indian market.

The company has shied away from revealing information related to the TV and any leads on details, specifications, pricing still remains a question. All of which will be answered on October 1 when Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale goes live. Well, TV isn’t the only new product Motorola has in its bag as Moto Tab 8 will also make its debut on the same day.

However, the upcoming tab shouldn’t surprise us as it is only a rebranded Lenovo Tab M8 FHD aimed at content consumption and education. Therefore, the features are going to remain the same as Lenovo Tab M8 where it will sport an 8-inch FHD display and will be running stock Android. It will draw its juice from the octa-core MediaTek Helio P22T SoC. There will be 4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB ROM options and will be available in both Wi-Fi and cellular variants. The Moto Tab 8 is expected to be equipped with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. It is expected to house a 5,000 mAh battery, with support for USB Type-C charging.

Lenovo Tab M8 retails for Rs 13,999 on Flipkart so we expect Moto Tab 8 to be available in a similar price bracket.

MediaTek is one of the two popular companies other than Amlogic to be known for its TV chipsets. Most high-end smart televisions from different companies use silicon from the Taiwanese chipmaker. Today, the company has announced a  new TV chip called MT9602 to further expand its portfolio. This SoC will be debuting in the new Motorola smart TVs that are scheduled to launch tomorrow (October 9) in India.

The newly unveiled MediaTek MT9602 smart TV SoC includes a quad-core processor consisting of 4 x ARM Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.5GHz. Whereas, for graphics. It features Arm Mali-G52 MC1 GPU.

According to the company, this chipset can support up to 2GB RAM and 4K resolution (3,840×2,160 pixels) at 60Hz refresh rate. Like any modern silicon, it also supports popular HDR standards and video codecs like HLG, HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, AV1, AVS2, HEVC, VP9, H.264, and SHVC 4K60@10bit video decoding with H.264 encoding.

As for connectivity, it supports HDMI 1.4/2.0 with HDCP 2.2, HDMI 2.1a, and USB 2.0. For audio, there’s support for Dolby Atmos decoding and 4x directional microphones. Last but not least, this chip also includes a few technologies from MediaTek like AI-PQ, AI-AQ, and AI-Voice.

As we stated in the beginning, the MediaTek MT9602 smart TV SoC will be debuting in Motorola-branded smart televisions by Flipkart that are set to launch tomorrow in India alongside other home appliances.

Motorola India has introduced its smart TV lineup in collaboration with Flipkart in India. The base model with 32-inch display is priced at Rs. 13,999 (~$196). The retailer will carry out the sales of the Motorola TVs through the upcoming Big Billion Days sale that will begin on Sept. 29.

The Motorola TV lineup comprises of six models. The 43-inch full HD TV carries a pricing of Rs. 24,999 (~$350). Its UHD model costs Rs. 29,999 (~$420) The 50-inch UHD Motorola TV has a price tag of Rs. 33,999 (~$476). The 55-inch and 65-inch UHD TVs from the company are respectively priced at Rs. 39,999 (~$560) and Rs. 64,999 (~$910).

The Motorola TV series is powered with MEMC video processing technology. The entire range offers up to 16 GB of native storage. It draws power from a quad-core processor and up 2.25 GB of RAM. It also features triple core Mali 450 GPU. The Motorola TV series carries support for Dolby Vision, HDR 10 and 178-degree viewing angles.

For audio, the Motorola TV features 30W front-facing speakers that is coupled with DTS TruSurround Dolby Audio and Motorola’s AmphiSoundX technology. On the software front, the Motorola TV runs on Android 9 Pie OS and it comes with support for Play Store and Google Assistant. The connectivity features of the Motorola TV up to four HDMI port, a USB port, a TV input and a SPDIF port. It also comes with support for wireless Android TV gamepad.

Apart from launching the Motorola TV series, the company also took covers from the Moto E6s phone with an enticing price tag of Rs. 7,999. The handset comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of native storage. The first sale of the Moto E6s will begin on Sept. 23. It will be available in color choices such as Polished Graphite and Rich Cranberry.

The Moto E6s has a 6.1-inch waterdrop notch enabled display that offer HD+ resolution. The Helio P22 powers the phone along with a 3,000mAh battery. It has a 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual camera system and a front-facing snapper of 8-megapixel. The smartphone is loaded with Android 9 Pie OS. It features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and carries support for face unlock.

On Sept. 16, Motorola will be launching the Moto E6 Plus budget-friendly phone in India. Fresh information that has surfaced today reveals that the company will be launching its first Smart TV at the same event. It is being said that the Motorola TV will be exclusively sold through Flipkart.

The reason why Flipkart will be selling the TV exclusively in India is that the retailer will be manufacturing and assembling the upcoming Motorola branded TVs. In order to deliver smooth refresh rates, the Motorola TV will be equipped with MEMC technology. It will not only allow the TV to offer good viewing experience, but also there won’t be any choppiness while gaming. The Motorola TV is expected to run on Android 9 Pie TV OS and it could be fueled by MediaTek chipset with Mali 450 graphics.

The Motorola TV is also said to be equipped with a 30W front-firing soundbar powered with DTS TruSurround Sound and Dolby Audio technology for immersive audio experience. The soundbar will have the logo of the company positioned at its center. The other three bezels of the Motorola TV are said to be thin. The other specs of the Smart TV are under the specs. However, what’s known so far suggests that it may not be a budget-friendly product.

Flipkart will be carrying Big Billion Day sale on Sept. 29. Possibly, the Motorola TV will be available for purchase during the upcoming sale.

Moto E6 Plus Specifications

The Moto E6 Plus was showcased at the recently held IFA 2019 tech event. India is expected to receive the 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage editions of the Moto E6 Plus. The handset has a 6.1-inch Max Vision display with waterdrop notch. It offers HD+ resolution of 720 x 1560 pixels. The MediaTek Helio P22 powers the smartphone along with a 3,000mAh battery.

The Android 9 Pie OS runs on the Moto E6 Plus. The 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual camera system resides on its rear. Its front side is fitted with an 8-megapixel selfie camera. As of this writing, there is no information on the pricing of the phone.
