Motorola has unveiled its latest body camera that feeds content live to the cloud. The Motorola V700 LTE bodycam is designed for public safety agencies like the Police and other armed agencies. The V700 uses mobile broadband to connect to the Aware cloud platform. It is capable of transmitting live feeds into the cloud. The real-time supply of field intelligence is very important for the security and monitoring of officers.

The use of body cameras is increasingly becoming very prevalent. A growing array of public officials and individuals are using this accessory for greater safety and intelligence accumulation. There are a slew of body cameras for different situations and the Motorola V700 is entering the market on a high. It targets large-scale use with a command and control setup as seen with Police Departments and other security forces.

The Motorola V700 also comes with a Record-After-the-Fact technology for greater data gathering. This means that the camera is always recording even before you hit record. Motorola says it has a patent for this technology but a few other products have previously used such technology. The camera offers 1080p videos with a frame rate of up to 30fps. It features dual microphones and noise cancellation, as well as a swappable battery that delivers up to 14 hours of recording. The Motorola V700 is rated IP67 and the battery contacts are self wiping.

The V700 weighs 197g and has a 130-degree horizontal field of view. It supports Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, Wi-Fi, gyro motion detection, and GPS. There’s 128GB of storage available for the Motorola V700 body camera. It also has a mono LCD that allows the user to tag events after recording, while its companion app provides greater functionality. The V700 has already gone on sale in the US but pricing information and general availability details are lacking at this time.
