This afternoon, Xiaolajiao Mobile introduced an upgraded version of its Xiaolajiao 5 phone called the Xiaolajiao 5 Pro. This version has stronger hardware and supports China Mobile 4G. It will go on sale on the 23^rd.

The China Mobile Pro version certainly has higher specifications than the Xiaolajiao 5 China Unicom version. The core improvement in the Pro version is that the RAM and ROM have increased from 1G and 8G, respectively, to 2G and 16G.

Upgrades were also made on the camera specs. Its front camera has 8mp and an 88 degree wide angle as well as upgrades to its beauty enhancement feature. Its main camera has 20mp but Xiaolajiao has not released an official model number. It just shows that it is a BSI camera with f/2.2 aperture and 5p lens.

Recently, TCL-affiliate Alcatel hosted an event in Thailand where they launched their newest device, the OneTouch Flash. This fashionable smartphone sports a 5.5-inch screen and uses an octa-core processor. According to ads, this is actually the TCL Momoda which had been released in China a while ago.

The Alcatel OneTouch Flash’s main specs are the same as the S270’s. Its processor is the 1.4Ghz MT6592M octa-core chipset. It sports a 5.5-inch display screen with HD resolution (1280 x 720). It has 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM (expandable) as well as a 5mp/13mp camera. It is powered by a 3200mAh battery and its OS is the Android 4.42.

Like the Momoda, the Alcatel OneTouch Flash is HotKnot-supported. Both phones support P2P data transfer.

A while ago, Lenovo released their answer to the Hongmi Note, the Golden Warrior S8. However, at the time, the only version available had 2GB RAM. Now, they finally released a cheaper edition that only has 1GB RAM. Besides lowering the RAM, Lenovo also decreased the S8’s internal memory storage from 16GB to 8GB. As a result, the S8’s price dropped from 988 RMB (159.12) to 788 RMB.
