Lava’s audio division, Probuds, has introduced the Probuds N33, its first neckband with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). The device has a metallic finish, flexible build, and 13mm dynamic bass drivers that deliver balanced sound for music, calls, and gaming.

The Probuds N33 reduces outside noise by up to 30dB through ANC and includes Transparency Mode for hearing ambient sounds when needed. Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) helps improve voice clarity during calls. For gaming, the Pro Game Mode brings 45ms low latency for better sound synchronization during gameplay or video streaming.

It runs on a 300mAh battery that offers up to 40 hours of playback with ANC off and 31 hours with ANC on. A quick 10-minute charge provides 10 hours of playback, and a full charge takes around an hour through a Type-C port. Bluetooth v5.4 ensures stable connectivity, and Dual Device Pairing allows connection with two devices simultaneously.

The neckband also includes a Magnetic Hall Switch for automatic power control and 4-button in-line controls for managing music and calls. With an IPX5 water resistance rating, it can withstand sweat and light splashes, making it suitable for workouts and daily use.

boAt has just launched a new pair of wireless earphones in India. The new model is the Rockerz Trinity, which features a neckband design and offers some notable specs. So let’s have a look.

As per official notes, the new wireless neckband earphones features advanced audio technology from Crystal Bionic Sound powered by HiFi DSP. This promises to deliver clear audio while also retaining the brand’s known sound signature that focuses on heavy bass. The new earphones are design to be lightweight and flexible. But despite its portable nature, it offers a robust battery life of up to 150 hours of audio playback.

Notably, just 10 minutes of charging can also offer up to 2 4hours of playback with ASAP Charge technology. It also comes with ENx technology that ensures users have clear audio during calls in busy environments. The Rockerz Trinity features a dedicated low latency mode called BEAST Mode, which would improve the user’s gaming experience. The Neckon 101 follows a neckband design, which means it goes around the user’s neck. Apart from this, it connects to a partner smartphone wirelessly through Bluetooth. It offer HD stereo sound with promises of a punchy bass and clear audio. The ear tips feature soft silicone substance and the earphones itself come with IPX7 rating to ensure you can use this device even if you are working out a sweat at the gym or other physical activities. Notably, the device also offers a low latency mode for gaming, which drops latency down to just 55ms.

Portronics has just launched another audio based product in the Indian market. The company had recently released the Muffs A wireless headphones in the region and has now announced the new Harmonics Z2 neckband earphones.

As stated above, the new hearables feature a neckband design with wireless connectivity. With the headphone jack becoming increasingly more rare now, wireless earphones have grown exponentially in popularity. This led to Chinese brands like OnePlus and Oppo to diversify their products to include new hearables as well, with the former being one of the top wireless earphones seller in India.

The news arrives from a Counterpoint Research report, which was about the neckband category of the wireless earphones segment. This report revealed the top brands in the category and their market share, as well as the top selling models as well. boAt took the top spot in the neckband category as a whole, with an impressive 25.7 percent market share, although, the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z is India’s top selling neckband earphones.

This model was followed by the boAt Rockerz 255 series and the Realme Buds Wireless 2 Neo. On the other hand, OnePlus arrived second in the overall neckband segment with a market share of 14.9 percent, while Realme arrived third with a 9.6 percent market share. Other brands like Zebronics and Boult Audio rounded up the top five spots of the market.

For those unaware, the Bullets Wireless Z was launched back in October 2020. In other words, the wireless earphones is still one of the best selling neckband models despite being released 18 months ago. Meanwhile, boAt’s Rockerz 255 series included a number of models like the Rockerz 255, Rockerz 255 Neo, and Rockerz 255 Pro. Interestingly, all of these hearables are priced under the 2,000 INR (roughly 26 US Dollars) mark, which means that price is also an important factor in the region since 70 percent of neckbands sold were between 1,000 to 2,000 INR range.

The wireless neckband is equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 and provides lag-free and clear audio up to 10 meters of connectivity from the source. The audio device has a battery of 250mAh which gives 36 hours of non-stop playback time on a single 2-hour charge. The Leo Series has a control panel with physical buttons that can be used to control music, take calls or wake the voice assistant.

Total series TWS Earbuds

The Total Series TWS earbuds feature a stem design and come with a 300mAh battery that can last up to 36 hours. Moreover, each earbud includes a 40mAh battery for a 6-hour playback time. The total series earphones require only 1.5 hours for a complete charge.
