Nokia 105 (2019) is the latest feature phone to go official in India. It features a color display and a battery that promises long-lasting performance. The handset has arrived in the country with an attractive price tag of Rs. 1,199 (~$18). The handset has arrived as a newer version of the Nokia 105 phone that was made official in 2017. The Nokia 105 (2019) was first announced in July and it had gone official in China with a pricing of 139 Yuan (~$20) earlier this month. Today, it has officially launched in India.

The Nokia 105 (2019) has a 1.77-inch color display that supports 120 x 160 pixels. It houses an 800mAh removable battery. It promises a standby time of 25.8 days and a talk time of 14.4 hours. There is 4 GB of RAM on the phone. When it comes to storage, the phone supports up to 2,000 contacts and 500 messages.

The device runs on Series 30+ OS and offers users with preloaded try and buy Gameloft games like Tetris, Danger Dash, Ninja UP!, Sky Gift, Nitro Racing and Airstrike. It also features the classic Snake game. Pressing the up button present on the island dial pad twice can start the LED torchlight feature. There is a microUSB 1.1 slot on the device for charging. The Nokia 105 (2019) is a dual-SIM feature phone that can only connect to 2Gnetworks. It features a 3.5mm audio jack for listening to FM radio. It does not feature a camera and it lacks support for a microSD card slot.

The Nokia 105 (2019) measures 119 x 49.2 x 14.4mm and it weighs 74.04 grams. It wears a polycarbonate body and has a simple design. The handset comes in three colors such as Blue, Pink and Black.  The Nokia 105 (2019) is available for purchase starting from today in India and it can be availed through official online shop of Nokia India as well as retail outlets across the country.

Nokia has officially launched the Nokia 105 feature phone in China. The device is listed on popular e-retail platform Jingdong for 139 yuan ($19) for the single SIM variant. The dual SIM card version is sold for 159 yuan ($22).

The Nokia 105 had earlier been certified in China under the model number “TA-1174”. In terms of design, the phone has a Scandinavian style, no extra decoration, the overall look is very simple; the body is ergonomically designed to make the phone more fit to the palm, one hand grip is more comfortable. The device features a 1.8-inch QVGA screen and a separate button design, there is a large gap between the button and the button, even if the eyes are closed, it is quite easy to text. The body is made from hard-wearing polycarbonate and will survive drops and falls.

The phone has 4MB of RAM and 4MB of storage which can contain up to 2000 contacts and 500 messages. It equally runs Nokia Series 30+ software. There is an FM radio, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a flashlight. It also comes with the classic snake game that’s on almost all Nokia feature phones.

The removable battery is still the same 800mAh capacity as 2017’s model and it charges via a MicroUSB port. HMD Global says it will provide up to 14.4 hours of talk time and last up to 25.8 days on standby. The only drawback is that it supports just 2G network.

The Nokia 105 comes in blue, pink, and black.

HMD Global has announced two new Nokia phones today. As the title says, you already know these are not smartphones but feature phones. The two phones are the Nokia 220 4G and the Nokia 105 (2019).

Nokia 220 4G

The Nokia 220 4G is a modern version of the original which was launched back in 2014 but it looks nothing like the original. The Nokia 220 4G has a curvier body that should make it more comfortable to hold for long. It is made from polycarbonate and there is the familiar 4G logo inscribed on the back.

It still has a 2.4-inch QQVGA display, 16MB of RAM and 24MB of storage. It runs Feature OS and has a VGA camera on the back with an LED flash. It also has an MP3 player, an FM radio that works without earphones plugged in, Bluetooth 4.2, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The Nokia 220 4G has dual SIM support – (nano and Micro). There is also a single SIM version (nano).

Nokia didn’t list the 4G bands supported for VoLTE calls but said it supports 900 and 1800 2G EU bands. They also specifically said it doesn’t have 3G support, so if there is no 4G network, it falls back to 2G. There is an internet browser (Opera Mini) and seems to come preinstalled with Facebook and Twitter as well as a modern version of the popular Snake game.

The Nokia 220 4G has a 1200mAh removable battery that charges via a MicroUSB port. It has a standby time of 27 days and will provide up to 6.3 hours of talk time. The phone comes in Blue and Black, weighs 86.5 grams and measures 121.3 x 52.9 x 13.4 millimeters. No price tag has been announced yet.

The body is made from hard-wearing polycarbonate and will survive drops and falls. It adopts the island keymat style which separates the keys and makes texting easier.
