The Nokia 215 4G and 235 4G feature a 2.8-inch screen, whereas the Nokia 225 4G has a 2.4-inch display. All models come with a QVGA resolution, are powered by a Unisoc T107 processor, and operate on an S30+ operating system designed for ease of use.

HMD Global, which presently holds the license over Nokia smartphones is apparently preparing to refresh its Nokia 225 4G feature phone. The brand launched the first Nokia 225 4G model back in December 2020. Now, Android Headlines, in collaboration with tipster OnLeaks, has revealed what the upcoming model looks like.

Compared to the 2020 model, the newer phone will adopt a more boxy design, which is the current trend in the smartphone market. Apart from its boxy look, the device will also have a minimalist design on the back featuring a single camera, an LED flash, and Nokia and HMD branding.

On the front, the device is said to feature a 2.4-inch display with thick bezels and a standard feature phone keypad. perhaps the most notable change in this model is that it features a USB Type-C port for charging.

The phone comes with 64 MB of RAM and 128 MB of storage, which is pretty standard for feature phones and likely includes a slot for adding more storage. It’s equipped with a 1,450 mAh battery, which is better than the one in its 2020 version, potentially lasting several days on a single charge.

The camera on the back might be bumped up to 3 MP from the earlier 0.8 MP, which is a decent improvement for a phone like this. As for software, the phone will operate on the Nokia Series 30+ operating system, which means that it won’t be able to run modern apps. Last year, in October, HMD Global had launched the Nokia 225 4G feature phone for the price of 349 yuan, which is about $55. Today, the company has launched a new variant of the same, dubbed Nokia 225 4G Payment Edition.

As the phone’s name clearly indicates, the focus of the company is on facilitating payments using the device. The phone enables users to access Alipay Wallet with a one-key action. It comes in three colors — Black, Blue, and Sand Gold.

Coming to the pricing, this new Nokia 225 4G Payment Edition is priced at 349 yuan (~$55) in China, which is the same as the pricing of the standard model launched last year. However, for a limited time, it will be available at a promotional price of 309 yuan, which roughly converts to $48.

As noted above, the major difference between the standard version and this new model is the support for mobile payments function. With a one-key action, the function can be opened or navigate to the payment option in the menu and then click on the “Payment Code” to proceed further. The user also gets an option to set a daily consumption limit.

The phone comes with a 2.4-inch screen and under the hood, the device is powered by a UNISOC processor. It has memory card support that can help users expand the phone’s storage capacity up to 32GB.

Finnish company HMD Global Oy which presently holds the license over Nokia smartphones has launched a budget feature phone in the U.S. The phone is the Nokia 225 4G which has earlier been launched in other markets including China and India.

The feature phone is no doubt targeted at first-time pone owners like young children and other individuals who just want something to make and receive calls. It is not targeted at hardcore smartphone users but can be kept as a backup phone.

Now, the Nokia 225 4G feature phone is officially available for purchase in China. The device is priced at 349 yuan, which approximately converts to $52. It comes in three color options — Black, Blue, and Sand Gold.

As the name indicates, the phone is a successor to the Nokia 220 4G which has been one of the top-selling feature phones from Nokia. The phone has a compact body, making it quite comfortable to hold as it weighs 90 grams and measures 124.7mm x 51mm x 13.7mm.

Nokia went official with the Nokia 215 4G and Nokia 225 4G on October 10 with the Nokia 215 5G going on pre-order the same day. However, the Nokia 225 was scheduled to open for pre-order on October 17. The presale is now live on Jingdong (JD), a day earlier than expected.

Intending buyers in China can pre-order the Nokia 225 4G from Jingdong. The phone carried a price tag of 349 yuan (~$) but with a presale deposit of 1 yuan, you get 20 yuan off the final price which comes down to 320 yuan.

Nokia 225 4G is the successor to the Nokia 220 4G which has been a top-selling feature phone. The Nokia 225 4G is still a feature phone with a nine-grid physical button design. It weighs only 90g and has a dimension of 124.7mm x 51mm x 13.7mm.

In terms of the build, the Nokia 225 packs a compact body and is comfortable to hold. The fuselage is made of classic polycarbonate and is available in black, blue and sand gold.

Nokia 225 4G uses a 2.4-inch screen. It is powered by a low-power UNISOC processor and supports up to 32GB memory card. At the rear, there is a 3MP single camera. The phone also has a flashlight.

HMD Global has launched two new Nokia-branded feature phones with 4G connectivity in China. These handsets go by the name of Nokia 215 4G and Nokia 225 4G respectively. The former model costs 289 yuan ($43) and is already up for pre-order, whereas the latter is priced at 349 yuan ($52) and will be available for pre-order starting October 17.

The newly launched Nokia 215 4G and Nokia 225 4G come with T9 island-style numeric keypad like any other feature phone. But what makes them stand out is the support for 4G connectivity along with VoLTE for HD calls.

The cheaper model lacks the VGA camera present on the costlier model and its design is generic. On the other hand, the second model features a sort of premium design but still, both are made of polycarbonate.

Common features between the two include support for 4G connectivity on all the three major carriers in China, microSD card slot (up to 32GB), FM Radio, and LED flash. Unfortunately, we could not find other specs of these phones. We will try to update this article once we get hold on them.
