The smartphone was <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/05/29/nokia-5-1-and-nokia-3-1-are-official189-displays-mediatek-socs-and-android-one-branding/">first unveiled in Russia</a> in May this year and recently went on sale in the United States.</p>
<p>In India, the Nokia 3.1 has been priced at Rs. 10,449 which roughly translates into $151. The smartphone will be available in India in three different color options &#8212; Blue and Copper, Black and Chrome, and White and Iron. The device will be available for purchase from 21st July through offline stores as well as Nokia&#8217;s online store and Paytm Mall.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-202102 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/nokia-3-1.jpg?x10805" alt="Nokia 3.1" width="702" height="516" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/nokia-3-1.jpg 702w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/nokia-3-1-300x221.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 702px) 100vw, 702px" /></p>
<p>The smartphone comes with a bigger 5.2-inch HD+ display that&#8217;s taller than its predecessor thanks to its reduced bezels and 18:9 screen aspect ratio. The display has 1440 x 720 pixels screen resolution and is covered by a 2.5D curved glass with Gorilla Glass for protection from minor scratches.</p>
<p>Under the hood, there’s a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/mediatek/">MediaTek</a> MT6750N octa-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz that&#8217;s powering the device. The phone comes in two variants in terms of memory configuration — 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage and 3GB RAM with 32GB onboard storage. However, in India, only the 2GB RAM and 16GB onboard storage model will be available.</p>
<p>Coming to the camera department, the smartphone features a 13-megapixel f/2.0 rear camera and an 8-megapixel f/2.0 front-facing camera with an 84.6-degree field of view. For connectivity, the device comes with Bluetooth v5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS, USB-C port, and 3.5mm headphone jack.</p>

<p>Unlike the first-generation Nokia 3, the new Nokia 3.1 is a part of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/google/">Google</a>&#8216;s Android One program and thus, comes with stock <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/android-oreo/">Android 8.1 Oreo</a> operating system out-of-the-box. HMD Global had previously announced that all future Nokia phones will be Android One device. The smartphone is powered by a 2,990mAh battery.</p>

Both phones which will go buy the Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 5.1 monikers come with 18:9 displays.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-193691" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Nokia-3.1-featured.png?x10805" alt="Nokia 3.1" width="1095" height="636" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Nokia-3.1-featured.png 1095w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Nokia-3.1-featured-300x174.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Nokia-3.1-featured-768x446.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Nokia-3.1-featured-1024x595.png 1024w" sizes="(max-width: 1095px) 100vw, 1095px" /></p>
<h4><strong>Nokia 3.1</strong></h4>
<p>The Nokia 3.1 comes with a bigger 5.2-inch screen but is just a tad taller than its predecessor thanks to its reduced bezel and 18:9 display screen ratio. The device should be smaller but the lower bezel doesn&#8217;t seem to have been cut at all.</p>
<p>The 5.2-inch screen has a 1440 x 720 resolution and is covered with Gorilla Glass. There is a MediaTek MT6750N processor clocked at 1.5GHz under the hood. It is paired with 2GB/3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of expandable storage.</p>
<p>The Nokia 3.1 has a 13MP f/2.0 rear camera and an 8MP f/2.0 front-facing camera with an 84.6° field of view. For connectivity, there is Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The phone also comes with a 2990mAh battery.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-193688" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Nokia-3.1-Color-variants.jpg?x10805" alt="Nokia 3.1 Color variants" width="1713" height="793" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Nokia-3.1-Color-variants.jpg 1713w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Nokia-3.1-Color-variants-300x139.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Nokia-3.1-Color-variants-768x356.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Nokia-3.1-Color-variants-1024x474.jpg 1024w" sizes="(max-width: 1713px) 100vw, 1713px" /></p>
<p>Unlike the first-gen Nokia 3, the Nokia 3.1 launches under the Android One program. This shouldn&#8217;t be surprising as HMD Global already announced following the launch of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/nokia-8-sirocco/">Nokia 8 Sirocco</a> that future Nokia phones will be Android One phones.</p>
<p>The Nokia 3.1 will come in Blue Copper, Black Chrome, and White Iron. It will sell for €139 and €169 for the 2GB and 3GB variants respectively and goes on sale this month.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-193689" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Nokia-5.1.png?x10805" alt="Nokia 5.1" width="1119" height="646" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Nokia-5.1.png 1119w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Nokia-5.1-300x173.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Nokia-5.1-768x443.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Nokia-5.1-1024x591.png 1024w" sizes="(max-width: 1119px) 100vw, 1119px" /></p>
<h4><strong>Nokia 5.1</strong></h4>
<p>The Nokia 5.1 comes with a 5.5-inch screen with a Full HD+ resolution. It measures 151.1 x 70.73 x 8.27 mm making it just a tiny bit taller than the first-gen model.</p>
<p>Powering the Nokia 5.1 is a MediaTek MT6755S octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz. Depending on the model, you either get 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage or 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. There is storage expansion available.</p>
<p>A 16MP sensor with PDAF sits at the back of the device and an 8MP camera is positioned above the display. The new aspect ratio has resulted in Nokia moving the fingerprint scanner to the back of the device. It now sits below the camera setup.</p>
<p>The Nokia 5.1 has a 3000mAh battery, a USB-C port, and a single speaker. It also runs the latest version of Android Oreo out of the box. Just like the Nokia 2.1 and Nokia 3.1, the Nokia 5.1 is also an Android One phone.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-193692" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Nokia-5.1-Color-Variants.png?x10805" alt="Nokia 5.1 Color Variants" width="1853" height="833" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Nokia-5.1-Color-Variants.png 1853w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Nokia-5.1-Color-Variants-300x135.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Nokia-5.1-Color-Variants-768x345.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Nokia-5.1-Color-Variants-1024x460.png 1024w" sizes="(max-width: 1853px) 100vw, 1853px" /></p>
<p>It will be available in Copper, Tempered Blue, and Black. It will go on sale in July for €189 and €219 for the 2GB RAM and 3GB RAM versions respectively.</p>
