HMD Global has confirmed it will have a launch event in Barcelona on February 23. It is expected to announce a couple of midrange phones including the Nokia 8.2 5G, an entry-level phone, and a feature phone. There have been reports of a Nokia 5.2 being in development but it is unconfirmed if it will launch at MWC 2020. Yesterday, an unknown Nokia smartphone presumed to be the Nokia 5.2 surfaced online. The leak includes photos, specs, and the price of the device.

The source of the leak is Evan Blass (@evleaks) and in his tweet, he revealed the phone’s codename as Captain America. The device has 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Unfortunately, the screen size, battery capacity, and processor were not revealed. The tweet also mentioned the phone will cost $180 at launch and might be announced on the 4th of March.

Coming to the design, the Nokia phone has a waterdrop notch and a moderately thick lower bezel with Nokia inscribed on it. The device is probably running Android 9 Pie but has three-button navigation turned on.

The back of the device is more interesting. The Nokia phone has four cameras arranged in a circular housing with a pill-shaped LED flash in the middle. The camera housing protrudes a bit and right below it is a fingerprint scanner. The back of the phone appears to be covered in frosted glass or plastic with curved sides and it sure is a fingerprint magnet.

Since the identity of the phone is unconfirmed, we advise you to take the info about it being the Nokia 5.2 with a grain of salt.

The Nokia 5.2 will be a mid-ranger powered by the Snapdragon 632 chipset. The phone is expected to house a 6.2-inch LCD panel. It may come with breathing light notification feature. The appearance of the rear camera setup on the Nokia 5.2 will be similar to the Nokia 6.2.

Hence, the round-shaped camera setup of the Nokia 5.2 could be fitted with an LED flash, a 16-megapixel main lens and an 8-megapixel secondary shooter. It could be sporting a front camera of 8-megapixel. The phone may draw power from a 3,500mAh battery. The phone may arrive in all markets in 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage version with a pricing of 169 euros (~$186). Nokia 1.3 appears to be the next entry-level smartphone from the Finnish firm. In terms of design, it will look like the Nokia 2.3. That means it could be housed in a 3D nano-textured polycarbonate chassis and may sport a durable plastic frame. It may come in vibrant color choices like Nokia 1 Plus. A previous leak claimed that the model number of the Nokia 1.3 could be TA-1207.

The Nokia 1.3 could be sporting a large display of around 6 inches. The display may sport a U-shaped or a teardrop notch. The Nokia 1.3 could be fueled by the MediaTek chipset and 1 GB of RAM. Nokia_Anew has claimed that its sources has confirmed that the company will be launching Nokia 5.2, Nokia 6.2 and Nokia 7.2 smartphones. These smartphones will be arriving as successor editions of the Nokia 7.1, Nokia 6.1 and Nokia 5. 1 phones from last year. Also, the company is also expected to announce three feature phones at the event. The source claims that the Nokia 5.2 and Nokia 6.2 phones were previously speculated to debut in May. However, their arrival was delayed for unknown reasons.

The Nokia 7.2 was spotted on Geekbench with yesterday 1.84GHz processing speeds for its octa-core processor. The SoC is coupled with 6 GB of RAM and it runs on Android 9 Pie OS. In the single-core and multi-core tests of Geekbench, the Nokia 7.2 has respectively scored 1604 and 5821 points. It is speculated that the phone could be equipped with Snapdragon 660 or Snapdragon 710 chipset.

The Nokia 7.2 that is codenamed as Daredevil is expected to come with a 6.3-inch IPS LCD panel, Snapdragon 660/710 chipset and up to 6 GB of RAM. The smartphone may come with up to 128 GB of native storage. Yet again, it will be an Android One device with Android 9 Pie OS onboard. It could be equipped with 48-megapixel triple camera setup and it may house a 3,500mh battery.

It is expected to sport the same design Nokia 7.2, but may come packed with weaker specs. Nothing much is known about the Nokia 5.2 smartphone. Some rumors have claimed that it could be equipped with Snapdragon 632 chipset.

The aforementioned information for all three phones is not accurate. Hence, it is advisable to wait for newer reports to confirm on their specs.

In the previous week, leaked specs and images of the upcoming Nokia Daredevil smartphone had surfaced on Baidu forums. The “Nokia Daredevil” moniker is just a codename and it may release in the market with a different name. HMD Global might announce a new Nokia phone soon, as a new device with multiple model numbers has been approved by the FCC. The certification documents reveal some important details about the phone.

The phone’s model number is listed as TA-1188 but its variants include TA-1183 and TA-1184. TA-1188 is believed to be the global variant while TA-1183 and TA-1184 are the Indian and Chinese variants respectively. TA-1188 was certified by Russia’s Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).

The device is codenamed “Wasp”. The documents reveal it has 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and an audio jack. The Nokia TA-1184 also has dual SIM support, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, and support for LTE bands 2, 4, 5, 7, 12, and 17.

The phone is 145.96mm long, 70.56mm wide, and measures 154.83mm diagonally which roughly translates to a 6.1-inch display. There are no diagrams that show if the phone has a notch and what type it has.
