HMD Global is a licensee of Nokia’s mobile phone and tablet brands. But apart from smartphones, features phones and tablets, Nokia also has several other consumer products and it’s of licenses covering those products. For reference, the Nokia TV brand was licensed to Flipkart who has launched a couple of Nokia branded smart TVs in India. Apparently, Nokia has also licensed its hearable and mobile accessories business in the Asia Pacific region to RichGo Technology (Shenzhen).

The Chinese company has now launched three new Nokia-branded earphones for the Chinese market. The products include the Nokia E1200 Essential Wireless Headphones, Nokia E3500 Essential True Wireless Earphones and Nokia E3200 Essential True Wireless Earphones.

Nokia Essential Wireless Headphones E1200

As the product page says, it is a circumaural wireless headphone that will completely enclose the ears. The outer cover is built with anodized aluminium with a gloss finish, and the inner ear pads are coated with a soft leatherette (PU leather).

The 40mm headbands are foldable so that it is convenient to carry along. The headphones also come with the voice assistant support of Google Assistant and Siri. You will also get the option to switch it into a wired headphone.

In terms of the specifications, the headphones feature a 500mAh Lithium battery which can last up to 40 hours of music playback. The battery can be fully charged in 3 hours. Also, the headphones are equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 and have a working range of 30ft (10m). The headphones come in Black, Red and White colours.

Nokia Essential True Wireless Earphones E3500

The 10mm wireless earbuds are IPX5 rated that will protect against any damage from sweat or water spray (low pressure). They are backed by the Qualcomm aptX and Qualcomm cVc (Clear Voice Capture) technology, which will reduce the background noise during phone calls.

It also comes with an Ambient Mode which can be activated using the buttons on the earbuds and will offer you the option to hear outside surroundings clearly, without the need of removing the earphones. Like the headphones, it will also come with the voice assistant support of Google Assistant and Siri.

Each of the twin earbuds packs a 48mAH battery while the charging case has a 360mAh battery. Working time is put at 7 hours for each earbud while that can be extended to 25 hours with the charging case. You also get Bluetooth 5.0 support, a working range of 30ft (10m) as well as IPX5 splash-proof rating.

The 6mm wireless earbuds are IPX5 rated, which will protect against any damage from sweat or rain. It also comes with an Ambient Mode which you can activate using the buttons on the earbuds and will offer you the option to hear outside surroundings clearly, without the need of removing the earphones. It will also come with the voice assistant support of Google Assistant and Siri.

The battery is bumped up to 50mAH on each earbud while the charging case remains 360mAh.

The prices of the earbuds were not revealed but we expect the products to be sold only in China and perhaps other Asian countries.
