Nokia G50 5G has been the subject of some speculation in the past few weeks with some images of the premium device leaked. The trajectory leading to its ultimate release is further accentuated by the fact that the G50 5G has gotten the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification. The FCC listing further confirmed some of the details about the smartphone earlier gotten through leaks.

The Nokia G50 5G, as expected, supports 5G connectivity and also has a 4,850mAh battery capacity. The FCC certification has authorized the use of the stated battery on the device at certain GSM, NR, LTE, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi frequencies. The FCC listing also provided a schematic representation of the designated safety label location, but no renders of the actual device are presented.

We are sure of some of the specs already released for the Nokia G50 5G. It will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 480 SoC, which is Qualcomm’s first chipset with 5G capability. The Nokia X10 and X20 smartphones also have the Snapdragon 480. The Nokia G59 5G will have a 6.38-inch HD+ display, and we expect that this will also come with a decent display refresh rate. While the 4,850mAh battery could offer a fairly long period of continuous use, only 10W charging support is available.

The Nokia G50 5G will have a triple rear camera setup with some tipsters affirming that this includes a 48MP main sensor. The price of the Nokia G50 5G should not be priced below $250 and it’s a mid-ranger.

For selfies, it will feature a front camera of 8-megapixel. Its rear camera setup has a 48-megapixel primary camera, a 5-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The device will carry support for 30fps 1080p video recording.

The G50 5G will come preinstalled with Android 11 OS. It will receive 2 years of software upgrades and 3 years of security updates. It will be backed by a 4,850mAh battery. Earlier, we saw the Nokia G50 passing TENAA certification and now, the smartphone has arrived on the GeekBench portal. The listing reveals some key specs of the smartphone and adds to the previously leaked details.

According to GeekBench, the Nokia G50 runs on the Android 11 OS. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC. For those who are unaware, it is a 5G chipset and the Nokia G50 is also touted to be one of the cheapest 5G phones from Nokia.

It has a base frequency of 1.80GHz and is paired with 4GB of RAM. The smartphone is expected to have 64GB of storage but may not feature a microSD card. Interestingly, the phone was spotted on TENAA with multiple RAM and storage models. The device will arrive in a 2GB variant, 6GB variant, and 8GB variant. It will have 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage variant.

The smartphone was recently listed online and it revealed that the phone could be priced at 209 Pounds(~US$288) for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. Moreover, the device was also seen listed in Australia in the Forest Black color variant. The smartphone is expected to come with a 6.82-inch display with an HD+ resolution. It will feature a 48MP primary lens at the rear and an 8MP sensor at the front.

The Nokia G50 is one of the upcoming midrange phones from the brand. Reports have claimed that it could be the most affordable 5G-ready Nokia phone. The G50 accidentally appeared in an official promo clip shared on Nokia Mobile France’s Instagram account. While the post is not live anymore, folks at NokiaMob.net have shared the video clip and a screenshot of the Instagram post.

The Instagram post’s translated text reveals that the Nokia G50 5G will offer an incredible battery life and it will carry support for 5G connectivity. For photography, it will feature a 48-megapixel main camera.

In the promo, the Nokia G50 5G can be seen in two color variants such as Blue and Midnight Sun. The front side of the device features a waterdrop notch screen and its rear side has a round-shaped camera module three cameras and an LED flash inside it.

Past reports have revealed that the Nokia G50 5G will be equipped with the Snapdragon 480 5G chipset. It may arrive in variants like 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. It will come preinstalled with Android 11 OS. It is speculated that the phone will be also available in another color called Forest Black.

Now that the company has accidentally teased the Nokia G50 5G, it appears that its launch date is not far away. Nokia Mobile is an official partner of the forthcoming “No Time to Die” James Bond movie, which is scheduled to premiere on Sept. 28. Hence, it is likely that the Nokia G50 5G may debut around this date.
