<p>As we already know, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-11/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">OnePlus 11</a> will be getting a global launch on February 7. The device launched in China in early January. Although it is said to be a global launch, customers in Germany won&#8217;t be seeing the flagship smartphone launch in their country.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image is-style-default"><figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/OnePlus-11-black-1024x683.jpg?x10805" alt="OnePlus 11 5G" class="wp-image-509533" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/OnePlus-11-black-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/OnePlus-11-black-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/OnePlus-11-black-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/OnePlus-11-black-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/OnePlus-11-black-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/OnePlus-11-black-630x420.jpg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/OnePlus-11-black.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>This is due to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/08/10/oppo-oneplus-halt-smartphone-sales-in-germany-after-patent-dispute-with-nokia/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">recent ban</a> imposed by Germany on the sale of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oneplus" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">OnePlus</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oppo-2" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Oppo</a> smartphones in the country. For those unaware, the ban was imposed by the German count on Oppo and OnePlus back in August 2022, after Nokia filed a suit against the brands for illegally using its 4G and 5G patents in their devices.</p>

<p>According to sources close to OnePlus, the situation still remains the same for the company. However, customers interested in getting their hands on the OnePlus flagship will be able to do so by buying it from other countries in the EU.</p>

<h2>OnePlus 11 specs</h2>

<p>As the device is already available in China, we know all there is to know about the specifications. The display of the flagship device is a 6.7-inch E4 AMOLED this time around with a 120Hz refresh rate and 3216 x 1440p resolution. It supports HDR10+ and comes with a punch-hole cutout in the top left corner.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image is-style-default"><figure class="aligncenter"><img src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/OnePlus-11-2-1024x576.jpg?x10805" alt=""/></figure></div>

<p>Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset taking care of all the computing. The chipset is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. Software-wise, the device has Android 13 onboard with OxygenOS 13 on top.</p>

<p>The triple camera unit on the back of the OnePlus 11 consists of a 32MP Sony IMX709 2x telephoto camera, a 48MP Sony IMX581 ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 50MP Sony IMX890 primary sensor with OIS. For selfies and video calls, the front camera has a 16MP sensor.</p>

<p>A 5,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging comes standard in the OnePlus 11. A USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, Wi-Fi 6E, and 5G are among the available connectivity options. The phone weighs 205 grams and has dimensions of 163.1 x 74.1 x 8.53mm. Other features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, IP54 certification, and an alert slider.</p>

<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-large wp-image-232361 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/nokia-logo-1024x682.jpg?x10805" alt="Nokia Logo" width="696" height="464" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/nokia-logo-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/nokia-logo-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/nokia-logo-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/nokia-logo.jpg 1280w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p>A German court in Mannheim issued a ruling in favor of Nokia in <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/07/08/german-court-rules-nokia-4g-5g-patent-dispute-oppo-bans-oppo-oneplus-in-germany/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">July of this year</a> after finding that OnePlus and Oppo did not hold valid licenses for the 4G and 5G technologies they utilize in their handsets. Both parties were required by the court to reach a settlement, but they were unable to do so. The court then decided to prohibit the sale of Oppo and OnePlus smartphones in Germany.</p>
<p>Following the ban order, the product page has been removed from Oppo&#8217;s official website in Germany with the note, &#8220;Product information is not currently available on our website.&#8221; The company has also answered the question “Can I continue to use OPPO products without restrictions, access support and receive future updates?” with a note stating “Yes, you can continue to use your OPPO products without restrictions, access support and of course, you will also receive all future updates.”</p>
<p><figure id="attachment_474582" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-474582" style="width: 1920px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="wp-image-474582 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Screenshot-2022-08-10-091821.png?x10805" alt="" width="1920" height="922" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Screenshot-2022-08-10-091821.png 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Screenshot-2022-08-10-091821-300x144.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Screenshot-2022-08-10-091821-1024x492.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Screenshot-2022-08-10-091821-768x369.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Screenshot-2022-08-10-091821-1536x738.png 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Screenshot-2022-08-10-091821-696x334.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Screenshot-2022-08-10-091821-1068x513.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Screenshot-2022-08-10-091821-875x420.png 875w" sizes="(max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-474582" class="wp-caption-text">Oppo Germany website screenshot</figcaption></figure></p>
<p>In the meantime, the company will continue selling accessories like earphones and mobile chargers in Germany. Similar to this, OnePlus has removed all of its smartphones from its product page on its German website.</p>
<p>According to reports, Nokia had demanded a settlement amount of €2.50 for each OnePlus and Oppo smartphone sold as licensing fees. This demand was made not only for the sales in Germany but the sales made by both brands worldwide. Considering how big these brands have become in the global market, it is easy to see how substantial that settlement amount might turn out to be. So, it won&#8217;t be a surprise if both the companies find it better to exit the German market altogether.</p>
<p>However, the trouble doesn&#8217;t end there as Nokia has filed lawsuits against major BBK-owned companies across the whole of Europe. If these courts decide in favor of Nokia, we might see brands like Oppo, OnePlus and others exit the European markets.</p>

<p>A German court in Mannheim has decided a suit in favor of <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/nokia" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Nokia</a> in its 4G/5G patent dispute against OPPO. The suit resulted from the breakdown in discussions between Nokia and OPPO over 4G (LTE) and 5G patents.<br />

<p>The German Regional Court ruling is the first ruling regarding the disputed patents. Nokia had sued OPPO over 9 Standard Essential Patents (SEPs) and five implementation patents in three regional German Courts. Nokia is the standard-bearer in the 5G SEPs segment with huge investments of about €129 billion ($130.3 billion). It has tons of patents in the field and has gotten several settlements in recent times. Daimler and Lenovo are some of Nokia’s recent opponents who have settled with the Finnish company.</p>
<p>The Mannheim Regional Court granted Nokia a cease-and-desist order against OPPO. This means that OPPO and OnePlus devices cannot be sold in Germany for the time being. OPPO’s objection to the decision was dismissed by the judge, who labeled the Chinese firm as an unwilling licensee.<img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-294313" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/oppo-logo.jpeg?x10805" alt="" width="640" height="368" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/oppo-logo.jpeg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/oppo-logo-300x173.jpeg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></p>
<p>Nokia’s counsels in the Mannheim case were drawn from its teams that won both the Daimler and Lenovo lawsuits. Nokia is currently just licensing its name for consumer products. However, it had established itself with a raft of industry-leading patents in the past.</p>
