Xiaomi has announced a new addition to its personal care lineup in China: the Mijia Electric Nose Hair Trimmer Pro. It is currently available for an introductory price of 129 yuan (around $19), with the standard retail price set at 149 yuan ($22).

Instead of the usual plastic exterior found on most inexpensive trimmers, the Mijia Pro uses a unibody aluminum alloy shell. It has an anodized, matte sandblasted finish, which is meant to provide a better grip when used in a wet bathroom environment. Xiaomi also included a magnetic cap to protect the blade when it is stored away. The power button is located at the bottom of the device rather than on the side.

Inside, the trimmer runs on a motor that spins at 8,000 RPM, which provides enough cutting force to trim hair without pulling or snagging. The cutting head itself uses a rounded safety blade to prevent scratches to the nasal lining. Xiaomi says it has adjusted the design of the blade head with an 11-degree angled groove, which reportedly increases the area for hair to enter by 15.5% compared to the company’s older models. The blade also has an antibacterial coating that is rated at 99% to help maintain hygiene over time.

For cleaning, the trimmer has an IPX7 waterproof rating, meaning the entire device can be rinsed directly under a running faucet. The blade head can also be completely detached if it needs a more thorough cleaning.

The device features a standard USB-C port, eliminating the need to pack extra proprietary cables when traveling. It fully charges in just one hour, delivering up to 150 minutes of runtime. Additionally, a translucent indicator light near the base conveniently displays the battery level, operating status, and whether the travel lock is engaged.
