Nothing released its first beta version for Android 13 on December 15th with a variety of additions, including quicker loading speeds, a new Weather app, and many other improvements.

The update however faced an issue as some essential apps, like Google Pay, ceased to function for users since the OS had failed Google’s Safetynet API. Now, the brand has started rolling out Nothing OS 1.5.1 as part of the second beta test addressing the Safetynet API issue. Jio 5G compatibility was just added via the Nothing OS 1.1.5 upgrade to the Nothing Phone (1) In India. Now, the company has started distributing yet another update for its Nothing Phone (1). The Google AR Core is now supported on the Nothing Phone (1) thanks to the most recent firmware upgrade, NothingOS 1.1.6. This marks the sixth software update for the Nothing Phone (1) in the last three months.

Other than Google AR Core support, the new update also brings along the September Android security patch, and a few camera improvements including sharper video recording. After its launch in July this year, the Nothing Phone (1) has continuously received software updates to fix bugs and polish the user experience. The company has launched another update that also comes with bug fixes, system improvements, and more.

The latest update is the Nothing OS 1.1.4 version, and it comes with the September Android security patch. Overall, it carries camera improvements, system improvements, and packs a couple of new features. One of these features is the option to flip the 3-button navigation bar, which should have been an option since day one.

The update weighs just 64MB and brings improvements to the photo clarity of the front camera. Night Mode and HDR photo processing times have also improved. The ultra-wide camera now has richer color saturation, and the images will come out much sharper and with reduced noise when zooming. The phone will remind you to clean the camera lenses from time to time.
