So let&#8217;s take a look at all of its specifications and features in detail.</p>
<h3>Design &amp; display</h3>
<p>Starting off with the design, the Phone (1) is quite unique from other smartphones on the market. The company has made this device with a transparent back cover that reveals the grooves and outlines of the hardware inside the smartphone.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-467616 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Nothing-phone-1.jpg?x44794" alt="Nothing phone (1)" width="500" height="500" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Nothing-phone-1.jpg 500w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Nothing-phone-1-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Nothing-phone-1-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Nothing-phone-1-420x420.jpg 420w" sizes="(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></p>
<p>A clean-looking camera bump is tucked away in the top left corner of the device, which is outlined by one of the most unique features of the smartphone, the LED lights. The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/nothing-phone-1/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Nothing Phone (1)</a> comes with a Glyph interface made up of over 900 LEDs. This is basically a multi-purpose notification light that can do more than just let you know that you got a notification.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-470312 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/nothing-phone-1-black-3.webp?x44794" alt="" width="832" height="832" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/nothing-phone-1-black-3.webp 832w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/nothing-phone-1-black-3-300x300.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/nothing-phone-1-black-3-150x150.webp 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/nothing-phone-1-black-3-768x768.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/nothing-phone-1-black-3-696x696.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/nothing-phone-1-black-3-420x420.webp 420w" sizes="(max-width: 832px) 100vw, 832px" /></p>
<p>It can act as a progress bar for when you are charging the phone, indicate when a device is being wirelessly reverse charged, and can also let you know who&#8217;s calling you when your phone is silent and faced down. Additionally, it also has custom notification light patterns to go with different apps. Other than that, the device features flat aluminum edges that give it a premium feel.</p>
<p>Up front, the Phone (1) comes with a 6.55-inch OLED Full HD+ AMOLED display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate. It has 500 nits typical brightness, 1,200 nits peak brightness,  HDR10+ support, and 10-bit color. The display has a punch-hole located at the top left for the front camera and features Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. The display has even bezels going around it giving the screen a premium look.</p>
<h3>Specs</h3>
<p>Coming to what&#8217;s under the hood, the device houses a Snapdragon 778G+ chipset paired with the Adreno 642L GPU. It comes configured with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It uses a 4,500mAh battery to keep the lights on and pairs it with 33W fast charging support. The company states that the Phone (1) can be charged to full in about an hour. The device also has 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-470310 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Nothing-Phone-1.webp?x44794" alt="" width="832" height="832" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Nothing-Phone-1.webp 832w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Nothing-Phone-1-300x300.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Nothing-Phone-1-150x150.webp 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Nothing-Phone-1-768x768.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Nothing-Phone-1-696x696.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Nothing-Phone-1-420x420.webp 420w" sizes="(max-width: 832px) 100vw, 832px" /></p>
<p>Software-wise, the Phone (1) comes with the Nothing OS which is pretty close to stock Android 12 and doesn&#8217;t have any bloatware. The brand is currently working on making the phone compatible with their devices (Nothing Ear 1) along with third-party devices like Tesla cars. Nothing promises 3 years of Android updates and 4 years of security patches every 2 months for the Phone (1).</p>

<p>Now, the company&#8217;s official TikTok account has unveiled key features of the smartphone via short clips. The clips have revealed that the Phone (1)&#8217;s display panel will feature support for a 120Hz refresh rate and will have an in-display fingerprint reader. We know from previous leaks that the smartphone will be positioned as a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/06/28/nothing-phone-1-to-start-at-397-specs-renders-configuration-tipped/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">mid-range device</a> and will also be priced aggressively in key markets like India.</p>
<p>The absence of an in-display fingerprint scanner can be a deal-breaker for many customers looking for a decent mid-range device. So, Nothing has made its smartphone a lot more appealing by including this feature. Other than that, this video also clears up the rumors surrounding the device, which state that the Phone (1) will only have a 90Hz display.</p>
<h3>Nothing Phone (1) specs</h3>
<p>So far, rumors regarding the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/nothing-phone-1/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Nothing Phone (1)</a> state that it will have a 6.55-inch OLED display. It will have a punch-hole cutout at the top left for the selfie camera and will feature even-sized bezels going around the display.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-467616 td-animation-stack-type0-2" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Nothing-phone-1.jpg?x44794" alt="Nothing phone (1)" width="500" height="500" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Nothing-phone-1.jpg 500w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Nothing-phone-1-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Nothing-phone-1-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Nothing-phone-1-420x420.jpg 420w" sizes="(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></p>
<p>The company has confirmed that the device will be powered by a Snapdragon 778+ 5G chipset. The device is expected to be available with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a 256GB of UFS 3.1 memory configuration. The battery is expected to be  4500mAh and a recent <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/07/07/nothing-phone-1-spotted-on-tuv-certification-website-with-33w-fast-charging/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">TUV certification</a> has revealed that it will have 33W fast charging. Interestingly, the charger for the device will offer up to 45W fast charging support.</p>
<p>Coming to optics, the Phone (1) is expected to feature a 50MP primary camera sensor paired with a 16MP ultra-wide lens. The selfie camera is also likely to sport a 16MP sensor.</p>

The team at Nothing has managed to keep the leaks to a minimum but as we move closer to the launch, more and more details have started to emerge. A new TUV listing has been spotted online which reveals that the Nothing phone (1) may support 45W fast charging.</p>
<p>According to a report by <a href="https://www.91mobiles.com/hi/tech/nothing-phone-1-to-launch-with-45w-fast-charging-speed/">91mobiles</a>, a TUV certification for a Nothing brand charger with model numbers C304, C347, and C348 has been spotted. The three model numbers indicate that these might be three global variants of the same charger. The charger is listed under the “Switching power supply unit” category and is said to have an IP20 degree of protection.</p>
<p>The charger is rated for up to 45W fast charging. This means that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/nothing-phone-1/">Nothing Phone (1)</a> could support up to 45W fast charging.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-464110" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Nothing-Phone-1.webp?x44794" alt="Nothing Phone (1)" width="1200" height="675" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Nothing-Phone-1.webp 1200w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Nothing-Phone-1-300x169.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Nothing-Phone-1-1024x576.webp 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Nothing-Phone-1-768x432.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Nothing-Phone-1-696x392.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Nothing-Phone-1-1068x601.webp 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Nothing-Phone-1-747x420.webp 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" /></p>
<p>Additionally, the charger is listed to be compatible with the PPS charging standard, meaning it can be used to fast-charge devices like laptops and other Android smartphones.</p>
<p>The Nothing Phone (1) is scheduled to launch on July 12 in a special event taking place in London. The details about the handset are short but we do know that it will come with a transparent back, fast wired and wireless charging, and super slim bezels.</p>
<p>If rumors and leaks are to be believed, the Nothing Phone (1) will draw power from a <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-7-gen-1">Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Soc</a> paired with up to 8 GB of RAM, and up to 128 GB of storage. It is also expected to have a 6.55-inch full HD+ OLED panel offering a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. We hope to learn more details about the smartphone in the coming days.</p>

The start-up recently confirmed that its first smartphone will debut sometime in the summer. Ahead of the launch, tipster Yogesh Brar is here with some information that might be of interest to Nothing’s Indian fans.</p>
<p>According to the noted <a href="https://twitter.com/heyitsyogesh/status/1534401332999856128">tipster</a>, Nothing Phone (1) is likely to be manufactured in India, and this will control the cost of the smartphone. The tipster also adds that Nothing Phone (1) will soon enter the production stage.</p>
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true">
<p lang="en" dir="ltr">Nothing phone 1 is said to be produced locally and that ideally should control the costs. </p>
<p>Production expected to start soon.</p>
<p>&mdash; Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh) <a href="https://twitter.com/heyitsyogesh/status/1534401332999856128?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">June 8, 2022</a></p></blockquote>
<p><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script></p>
<p>Seeing that the smartphone is yet to enter the production stage, we can say that it’s still at least a month away from the launch. Nothing is yet to make an official announcement about the launch date of the smartphone. However, we can expect to get a confirmation very soon, probably by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/06/07/nothing-phone-1-launch-date-announce-this-week/">end of this week</a>.</p>
<p>So far, the company has officially confirmed that the smartphone will sport a transparent back, an aluminum mid-frame, wireless charging support, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset under the hood. Moreover, it is also known that the smartphone will be available for purchase through Flipkart in India.</p>

<p>If we enter into the realm of expectations, the Nothing Phone (1) will likely feature the Qualcomm <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-7-gen-1/">Snapdragon 7 Gen 1</a> SoC paired with up to 8 GB of RAM, and up to 128 GB of storage. It may be powered by a 4500mAh battery and support wired and wireless fast charging.</p>
<p>As per a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/05/25/nothing-phone-1-launch-date-and-price-leak-emerges-well-ahead-of-launch/">previous report</a>, Nothing Phone (1) is expected to launch on July 21 and it may be priced at around $500.</p>
