The Nothing Phone (1) made its debut last month. The phone has been up for sale in European countries including the UK, and also in certain parts of the Asian continent. Now, almost a month after the initial launch, Nothing has confirmed the Phone (1)’s Japan availability.

Today, Nothing Japan Twitter handle announced the launch and pre-order dates for the upcoming Phone 1. As per the company, the Nothing Phone (1) will be up for pre-order in Japan from August 10. The device will be made available for sale on August 19.

The smartphone will be sold in the country through some of the largest electronics stores like Yodobashi, Yamada, and Bic Camera. In addition, the device will be available to order online through Amazon Japan. The official Japanese pricing of the device has not been revealed yet. In the European markets, it comes with a starting price of 399 euros.

So far, customers have mixed reactions about the Nothing Phone (1). Some really like the unique design and smooth OS of the smartphone, while others are not very impressed with the performance and build quality of the device.

If we talk about the specifications, the Nothing Phone (1) flaunts a 6.55-inch FHD+ flexible OLED display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ SoC that is specially optimized to support wireless charging. The chipset is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.

Carl Pei’s Nothing has proven its mettle regarding earbuds, having launched two impressive audio devices since its inception. The company is pushing for the smartphone market with its first smartphone dubbed Nothing Phone (1) and scheduled to launch on July 12 which is just a few days away. Ahead of the official unveiling, here is a compendium of all the details of the smartphone that have hit the public domain via official teasers, certifications, benchmarks, leaks and more.

The Nothing Phone (1) is expected to feature a 6.55-inch OLED display that will have support for a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The official images of the phone show it will have a hole-punch design with the opening nested at the top left corner of the screen. The phone is near bezel-less with a high screen-to-body ratio. The display is also said to have an under-screen fingerprint sensor. A Corning Gorilla glass protection is rumoured to be available on both the front and rear panels.

The rear design is what stands out on the Phone (1) design. The device features a transparent back panel. This has been a trendy feature that has often been well-received by fans. But the transparent back panel isn’t the only reason why the rear panel stands out. The phone also includes some LED lights called “Glyph Interface” enhancing the aesthetics. One of the light strips surrounds the camera, while there is a second one located at the top right corner having a diagonal design. A G-shaped light strip sits at the centre of the device while there is also a vertical strip on the bottom of the rear panel.

For photography, the Nothing smartphone will pack a dual rear camera setup said to be a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. The camera is said to be capable of shooting 4K videos at 60 fps.

For processor, the Nothing Phone (1) is confirmed by Carl Pei to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778+ processor which brings support for wireless and reverse charging. Talking of charging, there are rumours that the Phone (1) won’t ship with a power adapter even though it will feature support for 33W fast charging as per TUV certification website.

For interface, the smartphone is tipped to run an Android 12-based NothingOS. While some may prefer the stock Android experience, the NothingOS promises to deliver a clean and minimalist UI.

The phone has been spotted in white and black hues but we can’t say if there will be more colour options. As for the price, the phone is tipped to start at $397 and will be available in three memory configurations – 8GB + 128GB, 8GB+ 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB.

Now, reliable tipster, Yogesh Brar has given some more insight into the highly anticipated smartphone by Nothing. According to Brar, the device will rock an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor rather than an optical one. Currently, an optical fingerprint sensor is usually seen in more premium devices, so it is quite a surprise that Nothing is providing this feature on a mid-range device.

Other than that, the tipster has also revealed some information about the camera stating that its performance is quite good for the price. Previous leaks have revealed that the Phone (1) will be priced between $397 and $456, so we can expect quite a decent camera performance from the device. Lastly, Brar reveals that the ultra-wide camera on the device will double as a macro shooter, which justifies the brand opting for a dual-camera setup rather than a triple camera that it currently the trend in the mid-range Android market.

Carl Pei, Nothing’s co-founder, recently confirmed the Snapdragon 778+ Processor. Today, a noted tipster is here with what appears to be the specs sheet of the smartphone. As per the leak, the Nothing Phone (1) will feature a 6.55-inch OLED display that carries support for a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The smartphone will house dual rear cameras with a 50-megapixel primary sensor having an f/1.8 aperture. The leak suggests that the smartphone can record 4K videos at 60 fps. The phone will have an aluminum frame and symmetrical bezels.

The Chinese tech startup Nothing is gearing up to launch its first smartphone in the Market dubbed the Nothing Phone (1). The device is scheduled to debut on July 12 at the “Return to instinct” event.

Now, ahead of the launch, a report from Rootmygalaxy has revealed the pricing and storage options of the upcoming smartphone along with its specifications and renders. So, let’s take a look.

Previously, leaks and teasers have revealed the White-colored Phone (1), and the new leak reveals a Black color option. The report mentions that the device will come in three storage configurations –  8GB + 128GB, 8GB+ 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB.

For those who don’t know, Reliance Digital is an Indian consumer electronics store. It is a subsidiary of Reliance Retail, owned by Reliance Industries.

Nothing’s move to market its smartphone offline will be appreciated in India because a huge chunk of the Indian population prefers visiting offline stores for buying expensive products. Most people still want to see and feel the product in real life before making a decision.

Recently, the pre-order details of the Nothing Phone (1) also surfaced online. According to leaks, customers interested in buying the Nothing Phone (1) will have to purchase a pre-order pass at a security deposit of Rs. 2,000 which will be adjusted at the time of final purchase. Nothing Phone (1) is scheduled to launch on July 12 in an event called “Return to Instinct”. However, getting your hands on the phone will be rather difficult, even after the launch. This is because Nothing is planning to follow the footsteps of OnePlus and will initially sell the Phone (1) through invites only. Carl Pei himself confirmed this in the latest video showcasing the design and manufacturing process.

Nothing recently shared a new video on its YouTube channel that details the design of the phone and its manufacturing process, also letting us know that recycled aluminum is used for manufacturing the phone. However, towards the end of the video, it is revealed that Nothing Phone (1) will undergo an invite system for initial sales (Via XDA).

Nothing’s co-founder Carl Pei is no stranger to the hype train and invitation-only approach. He did the same thing in his last venture, OnePlus. The Invite system will allow the start-up to sell its products faster and also get them into the hands of the people that “deserve” it most.

In the video, Pei explains that since Nothing is small, it neither has the ability nor the resources to mass-produce millions of smartphones for sale in one go. Pei states that Nothing had two options: delay the sale and stock up more units or sell the phone (1) right off the production line. And as you know, Nothing chose to go with the latter since it’s also a good PR opportunity.

Pei further adds that the company learned a lesson from the Nothing Ear (1). He says that the company was only able to sell the hearable once a week and it would immediately sell like hotcakes. So, the team didn’t want the same thing to be repeated and decided to go for an invite system for the upcoming phone.

The Nothing Phone (1) was recently spotted on Geekbench, which revealed the smartphone will be powered by a Snapdragon 778+ SoC paired with 8GB RAM. The process is no match to the latest Snapdragon 8 gen processors and will give a mediocre performance. Nothing Phone (1)’s future now depends solely on the price and software.

The much-hyped Nothing Phone (1) will be unveiled at an event on Tuesday 12 July called Return to Instinct. Ahead of the imminent launch, Phone (1) has received TUV SUD safety certification. Moreover, a screenshot of Flipkart code has also been leaked which suggests the listing of the smartphone’s accessories. We know very little about the actual hardware specs for the handset. However, its design and appearance are revealed by the company.

A tweet by popular tipster Mukul Sharma suggests that the Nothing Phone (1) has been listed on the TUV SUD certification platform with model number A063. Sharma also shared a screenshot of the Flipkart code which reveals that the accessories of the Phone (1) will be available for sale on Flipkart. The TUV SUD certification did not reveal any new information about the smartphone.

As mentioned, The Nothing Phone (1) will be launched on July 12 in London. A recent video by Youtuber Marques Brownlee gave us a good look at how this phone is going to try and stand out. The video revealed the front of the Phone which shows the Phone has a punch-hole placed at the upper-left corner of the display.

The front of the smartphone is “nothing” special. However, the back sure does look interesting. You can’t view the hardware components as we’ve seen in previous HTC or Xiaomi phones but it does have some elements of translucency.

Accessories maker Nothing has expanded its operations into smartphone production. The company is set to launch its first smartphone, the Nothing Phone 1. Nothing is partnering with StockX to auction the first 100 units of the Phone 1 on June 21.

The StockX auction of the Nothing Phone 1 will precede the official unveiling of the smartphone. The auction will last between 0900 ET on June 21 and 0900 ET on June 23. Only persons who have registered a StockX account are allowed to enter the auction. Upon their log-in, users can then place their bid on the StockX product page during the live auction.

The Nothing Phone 1 sports a uniquely refreshing design and comes with a transparent back panel. The smartphone’s LED illumination also adds to the beauty of the device. The Nothing Phone 1 is probably powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset and will run on the Android 12-based Nothing OS. It has a mid-frame made from recycled aluminum and the phone supports wireless charging. Nothing is assuring its salivating customers that the Phone 1 will offer a premium front look and seamless connectivity to other Nothing devices.

Nothing has confirmed that the first smartphone by the company dubbed the Nothing Phone (1) will launch in India on July 12. Earlier this week, tipster Yogesh Brar stated that the Nothing Phone (1) will likely be manufactured in India. Now, this rumor has been confirmed.

Nothing India’s General Manager and Vice President Manu Sharma confirmed that the Phone (1) will be manufactured locally. The GM added that the company’s first smartphone will be manufactured in Tamil Nadu and sold via Flipkart. So what does this mean?

For starters, the device will be a lot cheaper to produce in India than if it were made overseas, which will help the company save costs. The company will also be able to avoid the heavy customs duties and tariffs that the Indian government imposes on goods manufactured outside India. Apparently, the tipster has shared a screenshot of what appears to be the Flipkart Product page of a Pre-booking coupon. The description of the coupon says “This Coupon Code is your pass for the pre-booking for Nothing Phone (1)”. It further reveals that interested buyers will be able to Pre-book the Nothing phone (1) by paying 2000 Rs which will automatically be adjusted during the time of the checkout.

Nothing is all set to unveil its first smartphone dubbed, Nothing Phone (1) on July 12 with the goal of being the “Wake-up call” of smartphone industry. The team at Nothing has managed to keep the leaks to a minimum but as we move closer to the launch, more and more details have started to emerge. A new TUV listing has been spotted online which reveals that the Nothing phone (1) may support 45W fast charging.

According to a report by 91mobiles, a TUV certification for a Nothing brand charger with model numbers C304, C347, and C348 has been spotted. The three model numbers indicate that these might be three global variants of the same charger. The charger is listed under the “Switching power supply unit” category and is said to have an IP20 degree of protection.

The charger is rated for up to 45W fast charging. This means that the Nothing Phone (1) could support up to 45W fast charging.

Additionally, the charger is listed to be compatible with the PPS charging standard, meaning it can be used to fast-charge devices like laptops and other Android smartphones.

The Nothing Phone (1) is scheduled to launch on July 12 in a special event taking place in London. The details about the handset are short but we do know that it will come with a transparent back, fast wired and wireless charging, and super slim bezels.

Earlier this year, Carl Pei’s startup, Nothing, announced that it will debut its first smartphone dubbed the Nothing Phone (1) in the summer of 2022. The highly anticipated device has now been officially confirmed to launch on July 12.

The device will debut at the ‘Nothing: Return to Instinct’ event which will be held in London and live-streamed across the globe via the company’s website, nothing.tech.

The company has stated that “It’s our first smartphone and our most important product,” and has also claimed that the launch event is an “invitation to unlearn everything the industry has taught us”.

The phone might launch on July 12, however, it might take the company a while before it is available for purchase. A recent report revealed that the Nothing Phone (1) is likely to be manufactured in India and that the smartphone is yet to enter the production stage.

So far, the company has officially confirmed that the smartphone will sport a transparent back, an aluminum mid-frame, wireless charging support, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset under the hood. Other than that, the device has also been subject to multiple leaks that suggest the device will feature a 6.55-inch full HD+ OLED panel with 1080 x 2400 pixels and 90Hz refresh rate.

Other than that, it will likely have the recently unveiled Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset paired with 8 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of storage. It may be powered by a 4500mAh battery and support wired and wireless fast charging. Lastly, the smartphone is expected to debut around the $500 price range.

Nothing has announced carrier and retail partnerships for the Nothing phone (1) in India and Europe. The company has unveiled three sales partners for the Nothing phone (1) in Europe and India. Nothing has also picked O2 as the exclusive carrier partner for the upcoming smartphone in the UK.

Nothing’s campaign for the phone (1) is following the trajectory of OnePlus. Nothing’s Carl Pei had been in OnePlus during their pioneering teaser campaigns for new smartphones. Now he is applying the same tactic at Nothing.

In Germany, the Nothing phone (1) will have Telekom as its exclusive carrier partner. The Nothing phone (1) will thus be available in O2 and Telekom’s outlets in the UK and Germany respectively. Being an unfolding story, it’s unclear whether non-carrier outlets will retail the phone in the UK and Germany.

In India, Flipkart was retained as the sales partner for the Nothing phone (1). For now, there is no mention of whether Flipkart was the exclusive outlet for the smartphone. This is the second year of the Nothing-Flipkart partnership in the subcontinent.

There are still grey areas on the magnitude of the Nothing (1) retail and carrier partnerships. We are yet to get the detailed specs sheet of the device, as well as pricing and availability details. We however expect more details about the device in the coming weeks.

In late March, Nothing announced that its next product will be a smartphone called ‘Nothing Phone (1).’ Since then, the startup by Oneplus’ co-founder Carl Pei has not revealed much about the phone. However, it has released the beta version of the device’s official launcher dubbed Nothing Launcher on the Google Play Store for select smartphones. Amidst this, a shady eBook now details the specs of the handset.

Twitter user @rsjadon01 has shared (via MySmartPrice) a few screenshots from an eBook on Amazon titled ‘NOTHING PHONE 1: User manual’. The unreliable book talks about the specifications of the smartphone with structural mistakes in sentences.

We believe the author (James Omoghosa Abu) is making use of the popularity of the device to reel in readers. He has even published similar books for Samsung’s Galaxy A11 and the Galaxy Tab S8 series.

Anyway, according to the author, the upcoming Nothing Phone (1) will feature an AMOLED display with support for a high refresh rate, HDR10+ standard, and sRGB/DCI-P3 color gamuts. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.

The handset will boot Android 12 and will be backed b a 4,500mAh battery. Last but not least, it will arrive with a 50MP + 8MP + 2MP triple rear camera system and a 32MP selfie camera.
