Nothing has released a new software update for the Nothing Phone (3) with build number Nothing OS B4.0-260206-1135. The update introduces new Glyph features, improves system stability, and fixes several bugs across camera, audio, and connectivity.

A key addition is support for showing caller information and charging progress on the Glyph Matrix by shaking the phone. Users can enable this by going to Settings > Glyph Interface > Flip to Glyph and turning on the required toggles. Nothing has also added an Essential Notifications entry in Settings for easier access. It is available under Settings > Notifications > Essential Notifications.

The Essential Apps section has also been updated. The widget library now includes a recommendation section that gives faster access to Nothing Playground, where users can discover AI-powered community creations.

The update includes several optimizations as well. Apps stored in Private Space can now be updated directly through the Google Play Store. The Weather widget location permission prompt has been improved to reduce interruptions. Ringtone performance has been optimized for better stability and improved compatibility with third-party apps. Vibration and haptic feedback stability has also been improved in certain scenarios. Call volume performance has been optimized when using Oticon Zircon 2 miniRITE T hearing aids.

Camera stability has been enhanced overall. The update also fixes an issue where the Camera preview could freeze in Portrait mode when switching from Photo mode in certain situations. Other fixes include resolving cases where dual SIM ringtones could get mixed up, speaker volume could become very low after switching from a Bluetooth call in some apps, and game audio would not resume after returning from Recent apps.

On the connectivity side, the update fixes an issue where the mobile network icon could incorrectly show no internet in certain cases. Network stability and overall system stability have also been improved.

Nothing has released a major software update for the Phone (3). The update, with build number B4.0-251224-1229, brings visual improvements, new features, and bug fixes along with the December security patch.

What’s Changed Visually

The battery icon now shows the percentage number inside instead of next to it. Extra dark mode works better across different situations. Volume slider animations are smoother when you adjust volume with the physical keys. The Recorder app’s sound wave and wheel animations run more smoothly.

New Features

You can now set different ringtones for each SIM card if you use dual SIMs. The Always-on Glyph Toy stays on until you turn it off manually instead of timing out.

Bug Fixes

The update fixes an issue where Android Auto displays would freeze when connected to your car. Pocket mode detection for the Glyph Interface is more accurate now. Glyph mirror works more reliably across different camera modes.

Video recording no longer switches back to H.264 encoding when you change shooting modes. It stays on H.265 if that’s what you selected. The Pedometer Progress widget stops animating on the lock screen when Always-on Display is active.

System Improvements

Wi-Fi network searches are faster. Vibration and haptic feedback have been improved in more situations. The lock screen and Always-on Display are more stable. Overall system stability and smoothness have been enhanced.

The update rolls out gradually to users. Nothing uses this staggered approach to watch for problems and make sure the update deploys smoothly across all Phone (3) devices before everyone receives it.

Nothing has released another major software update for the Phone (3), improving performance and fixing some buds. The build, Nothing OS V3.5-250911-2112, brings camera improvements along with fixes and system optimizations.

The update makes manual exposure control smoother and more precise. It also fixes a tint issue in certain scenes, which now show more natural colors. The AI SuperRes Zoom algorithm has been updated to improve the sharpness of text. Action Mode has been improved to cut down noise grains, and clarity has been enhanced for third-party camera apps. Video recording has also been upgraded with better contrast, making footage appear less hazy and more vibrant.

System changes include an optimisation for the Glyph Matrix display of Always-on Glyph Toys in multi-user mode. A bug that duplicated contact avatars when adding rules in Essential Notification has been fixed. Haptic issues when previewing Generative mode for notifications have been resolved. The About phone page now has better title alignment for Arabic.

The update also improves the Bluetooth device recording interface, available under Settings > Sound and Vibration > Bluetooth device recording. Battery usage has been optimised in certain situations, and heating has been reduced to give a more stable experience. Wi-Fi connectivity and overall network stability have been improved. Performance and system stability have also been fine-tuned.

Nothing has added a note that the device may temporarily heat up and use more power during the installation, but this will return to normal once the process finishes.

In other news, Nothing has teased its next major upgrade, Nothing OS 4.0, based on Android 16, calling it “Refined” and “Redefined.” With the stable release expected soon, the confirmed eligible devices are: Phone (3), Phone (3a), Phone (3a) Pro, Phone (2), Phone (2a), Phone (2a) Plus, CMF Phone 1, and CMF Phone 2 Pro.

To recall, the brand unveiled the Nothing Phone (3) as its first true flagship smartphone, with a premium starting price tag of Rs 79,999. This price tag had initially alienated some of the original fans of the Nothing high end phones, since it marked a notable jump in pricing. But now, the company will soon sell the Nothing Phone (3) for just Rs 34,999, which is basically a sizeable Rs 45,000 discount.

Keep in mind that this price slash includes bank discounts and exchange offers. For Nothing Phone (1) and Phone (2) owners, exchanging their older devices gets the best deal. So existing Nothing smartphone users will need to enter the IMEI number on either the company’s official website or Flipkart to receive a unique discount code. This is not the only new device that is receiving the discount, as Nothing also plans to make its mid range and budget phones more affordable during the Flipkart Big Billion Day sales.

Nothing has landed in hot water after it was discovered that the company used stock photos as “camera samples” for its new flagship Phone (3). The images showcased in a demo unit were initially presented as real shots taken with the device, which turned out to be a lie.

Nothing in Trouble After Using Stock Images as Phone (3) Camera Samples

The brand got exposed through a screen recording that was captured from a retail demo unit of a Nothing Phone (3), which was on display in New Zealand. These demo units featured camera shots that it claims were taken from the latest flagship phone, but these were actually taken by professional photographers. Android Authority even reached out to two of the photographers who captured these photos.

The photographers also confirmed that they did not use the Nothing Phone (3) for these shots. Nothing claimed that these pictures were captured by Phone (3)’s camera, but the same pictures can also be seen on the photographer’s social media. Meanwhile, the company shared these pictures in their promo material, stating that “Here’s what our community has captured with the Phone (3).” So it was clear that Nothing was faking these camera samples.

One of the photographers also revealed that all five of these images are available for licensing on ‘Stills’, a stock photo marketplace. So the people who took these pictures were likely paid for these images by this platform. Nothing has acknowledged this and even released a statement, “Accuracy in how we represent our product capabilities is important to us. Phone (3) demo units are being updated to feature only images captured with Phone (3).”

Nothing has started rolling out the OS V3.5-250801-1847 update for the Nothing Phone (3). The rollout is staggered, so it may take some time before all users receive it. This approach helps the company track performance and address any issues that appear.

Glyph Interface

A Glyph Matrix-styled photo will now be saved when using the Glyph Mirror toy. The update fixes a bug that changed ringtones to Classic mode in Generative mode and another that caused incorrect ringtone selection after transferring phone data. A Glyph Interface issue affecting Telegram call responses has also been resolved.

Camera

The update adds AI SuperRes Zoom support between 20x and 30x. Shutter response after continuous shots has been improved, and autofocus and colour accuracy have been optimised.

General Improvements and Fixes

The default search engine option now correctly appears in the App drawer and Search settings. An issue that caused the second character to disappear in Universal Search has been fixed. The Essential Notification border UI has been improved. Cloned WhatsApp apps can now open PDF files.

Snapchat now runs with a smoother refresh rate. Stuttering during 4K 60FPS video playback in the Gallery has been fixed. Adaptive Brightness now transitions more smoothly. Charging disconnections when using certain third-party chargers have been resolved. Overall system stability and copywriting have been improved.

Update Notes

After installing the update, the device may heat up and consume more power for a short period. It will return to normal once the process is complete.

What’s the best way for a smartphone company to show it’s made it? Undoubtedly, by launching a flagship. For most brands, that’s the big milestone, a premium device that says, “We belong.”

Nothing is doing just that with the new Phone (3). At $799 / €799 / £799, this is the company’s first attempt in years at making a high-end Android phone. And with this, it wants to attract the same crowd who might otherwise buy a Pixel 9, a Galaxy S25, or even the baseline iPhone 16.

But despite its more premium pricing and upgraded specs, the Phone (3) is still very much a Nothing device, which is to say, different for the sake of being different. So, who exactly is it for?

Let’s start with what it offers.

The specs look flagship enough

The Phone (3) doesn’t lack on paper. You get a 6.67-inch OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 1B colors, HDR10+ support, and up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness.

Powering the phone is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, which sits slightly below the top-tier Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 Elite. This is a 4nm chip, paired with either 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 4.0 storage (256GB or 512GB). Unsurprisingly, the Phone (3) delivers smooth performance, with Nothing OS 3.5 (based on Android 15) taking care of software optimization.

The Phone (3)’s 5,150mAh battery easily gets you through a full day with moderate use. For charging, it supports 65W wired, 15W wireless, and Power Delivery 3.0. However, you’ll need to bring your own charger as it’s not included in the box.

The phone is also IP68 rated, made of Gorilla Glass and an aluminum frame, and supports two physical SIMs plus eSIM. And no, there’s no headphone jack.

Cameras are a mixed bag

There are three 50-megapixel sensors on the back: a wide, a 3x periscope telephoto, and an ultrawide. The main sensor does most of the heavy lifting and delivers good results with detail and color. 

The telephoto lens retains sharp detail at 3x zoom and performs reasonably well up to 6x, with a noticeable drop-off beyond that. The 50MP ultrawide sensor offers a 114-degree field of view, producing decent wide-angle shots.

Up front, a 50MP selfie camera handles self-portraits and supports 4K video recording at 60fps.

The Glyph is no longer a gimmick, or is it?

Nothing is probably the only brand in the smartphone space that consistently tries to do something different, and the original Glyph interface was a result of that mindset. It’s a fun feature to show off to friends, though the LED lights on the back have limited practical use.

As a result, the Phone (3) introduces a dot-matrix-style mini-display made up of 489 LEDs in the corner of the rear panel. This “Monochrome LED Display,” as the company calls it, can now show simple graphics and app icons.

It’s still a bit gimmicky in some ways, though. For instance, features like the Magic 8-Ball or spin-the-bottle probably won’t get much use, but other functions are more practical. You can view the time, charging status, or volume level without flipping the phone over. The back is also touch-sensitive, allowing interaction with certain widgets directly from the Glyph interface.

Overall, it’s a meaningful upgrade over the original Glyph lights. But the real question is whether this second screen will gain broader utility or remain a niche feature.

Clean, uncluttered software

Nothing OS 3.5, based on Android 15, leans hard into the retro-dot-matrix look, but under the hood, it’s clean, smooth, and remarkably lightweight. It’s one of the more streamlined Android experiences out there, closer to what you’d find on a Pixel than on a Galaxy.

There are also a few thoughtful extras. Essential Space, introduced earlier with the Phone (3a) Pro, is back; it lets you record voice memos while the phone is facedown, with visual feedback displayed on the Glyph screen. Essential Search is another AI-powered feature that scans your phone’s contents to answer simple queries quickly.

The company promises five years of Android version updates and seven years of security patches.

So, who’s this for?

The Phone (3) isn’t the best phone at $799. You can get better cameras on the Pixel 9 Pro, better performance on a Galaxy S25+, and more consistent software updates from both. But if you’re bored with the usual players and want something that looks and sometimes feels a bit different, this might be for you.

It’s for people who care about design but don’t mind asymmetry. People who like the idea of a notification light that doubles as a visual status monitor. People who like Android but find most Android phones too cluttered.

It’s not for gamers who want top thermal performance. It’s probably also not for photographers who demand perfect color accuracy from every lens.

The Phone (3) makes more sense if you’re already in the Nothing ecosystem. If you own Nothing Ear earbuds or the company’s older phones, the continuity is appealing. But for someone switching from Apple or Samsung, it’s more of a leap.

The Nothing Phone (3) has barely had time to settle into store shelves, but it’s already getting a sizeable price cut in India. Just ten days after its official sale began on July 15, Nothing is offering buyers a chance to grab the phone for Rs 20,000 less than its launch price. Yes, really.

The offer is live on Flipkart and is part of a limited-time promotion. It’s a two-part deal: you get Rs 10,000 off instantly if you use ICICI and IDFC credit cards, and another Rs 10,000 as an exchange bonus when you trade in your old phone. These discounts can be combined, bringing the effective starting price of the Nothing Phone 3 down to Rs 59,999.

Get Nothing Phone (3) at a minimum of Rs 20,000 discount

Here’s an example. If you’re upgrading from a Nothing Phone (1), Flipkart will give you up to Rs 22,000 as base exchange value. This includes a Rs 10,000 exchange bonus. You can also add a Rs 10,000 bank discount on eligible cards, bringing your total savings to ₹32,000. 

My colleague used his Axis Bank credit card and received an Rs 8,000 discount. He exchanged his Phone (1), which brought the final price down to Rs 50,806.

Nothing has started rolling out the Nothing OS 3.5 update (build V3.5-250711-2047) for the Nothing Phone (3). The update adds new features and improves performance across key areas like the Glyph Interface, camera, gaming, and system stability.

Glyph Interface

The update adds a Caller ID feature. Long-pressing the Glyph button during a call now shows the contact’s name or number. Users can now choose from preset or custom icons for Essential Notifications. The phone also supports generative ringtones with Glyph Matrix lighting and random vibration patterns. Visual effects of the Glyph Interface have been improved, Glyph Toys are more stable, and the Glyph button is now less likely to be triggered by accident.

Essential Space

Essential Space now includes Flip to Record. Flipping the phone face down and holding the Essential Key starts a voice note that is saved and organised as a meeting to-do list.

Camera and Display

Core camera improvements enhance front and rear HDR, Night Mode, and Snapshot scenes. The update delivers better brightness balance and cleaner image quality. HDR video processing has been improved for more natural lighting. The UltraXDR Display now renders high dynamic range more smoothly, with better highlight-to-shadow transitions.

Gaming and Performance

Performance for a popular Battle Royale game has been boosted to run at 120 frames per second. Wi-Fi latency during gaming is lower. The update also enhances pocket mode to reduce accidental touches and allows users to change the default gallery app in Private Space.

Audio and Charging Fixes

The update fixes noise issues when turning spatial audio on or off during music playback. It also resolves slow or unstable charging and incorrect battery level display after charging. System performance and power use have been improved.

The update is rolling out in phases. Users can check for it by going to Settings, then System, then Feedback.

There is no Nothing Phone (3) Pro

As of right now, the Phone (3) series consists of three smartphone models. This includes the Nothing Phone (3a), Phone (3a) Pro, and the Phone (3). The first two devices are mid range models, while the latter is the company’s first true flagship. But Carl Pei’s tweet confirming that the “familia is complete”, confirms that there is no Nothiong Phone (3) Pro in the pipeline.

To recall, early rumors had hinted at the brand possibly working on a Nothing Phone (3) Pro alongside the vanilla variant. The base Nothing Phone (3) was expected to be a compact flagship, while the Pro variant had a larger screen and slightly better specs. This official confirmation removes any doubts now regarding the future potential of the lineup in 2025.

Nothing already saw a long delay for the Phone (3) launch, which had a strategic reasoning behind it. So far, the premium phone has had a rather negative reception in the market, with people either hating the looks of the device, or being let down by the specs and pricing decision. After months of leaks and speculation, the Nothing Phone (3) is finally here. And yes, those renders were real. The phone features a misaligned camera on top, which may take a minute to get used to. Then again, design is subjective, and Nothing has never been afraid to be polarizing.

Glyph Matrix is a playground on Phone (3)

The big new feature on the Phone (3) is the Glyph Matrix, a screen at the top left corner of the back. It is a 25-by-25 pixel dot matrix display composed of 489 individually lit LEDs. And Nothing is doing something genuinely different with it. They’ve introduced what they call Glyph Toys, a small, playful programs designed to run directly on this rear display.

You’ll find mini experiences like Spin the Bottle, Glyph Mirror, Rock Paper Scissors, and even a digital clock. According to the company, these are “mini-programs with constrained functionality and simple interaction models.” And of course, the Glyph Matrix will also show things like caller ID, app-specific messages, system status info, and more.

Developers will also get access to the Glyph SDK, which means third-party Glyph Toys could start showing up, assuming there’s interest. Interestingly, there’s also a dedicated Glyph Button on the back that lets you cycle through these toys without waking the main display. It’s the center left white round-thingy you see in the image below.

Another new physical control is the Essential Key, a customizable side button which was first introduced with the Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro. A single tap on it takes a screenshot, while a long press starts an audio recording. 

Not to anyone’s surprise, Nothing’s semi-transparent aesthetic isn’t going anywhere as well. The Phone (3) once again offers a peek at its internals, though it’s mostly cosmetic. It’s more design language than functional transparency, but it remains one of the brand’s defining traits.

This time, though, the circular outline that used to indicate the wireless charging coil is missing. But be sure that it supports wireless charging.

A brighter screen, better cameras, and three 50MP lenses

On the front, you get a 6.67-inch LTPO AMOLED display with symmetrical bezels. It pushes a resolution of 1,280 × 2,800 pixels and supports a dynamic refresh rate from 60Hz to 120Hz (up to 1,000Hz for touch input). 

Nothing claims a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, and there’s an ultrasonic fingerprint reader under the screen and a 50MP front-facing camera tucked into the top center.

Flip it over, and you’ll see three standalone camera modules:

• 50MP main camera (24mm, f/1.7, OIS)
• 50MP ultra-wide (15mm, f/2.2)
• 50MP telephoto (70mm, f/2.7, OIS)

All three rear sensors can shoot 4K video at 60fps.

Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and a promise of longevity

Under the hood, the Phone (3) runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. Nothing claims the chip delivers a 125% increase in processing speed over the Phone (2).

It ships with Nothing OS 3.5 based on Android 15, with Android 16 and Nothing OS 4.0 arriving later in Q3. The company is promising five major Android updates and seven years of security patches for the device.

It is powered by a 5,150mAh battery and supports 65W wired charging, which Nothing says can get you from 1% to 50% in under 20 minutes. Wireless charging is supported up to 15W, and there’s also reverse wireless charging at 5W.

Pricing and availability

The Nothing Phone (3) will be available in White and Black, with two storage variants:

• 12GB RAM / 256GB storage: ₹79,999
• 16GB RAM / 512GB storage: ₹89,999

Pre-order starts on July 4 via Flipkart, and sales will start from July 15.

Earlier today, we got our first official look at the Nothing Phone (3). And as expected, it looks nothing like we imagined it to be. The phone has an unusual rear camera layout that just looks plain odd. It’s clearly made to grab attention.

Another thing that might catch your attention is its cost, especially in Europe.

According to a previous leak from X user Arsène Lupin, the Phone (3) is expected to be available in two configurations: one with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and a higher-end version with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. 

In the U.S., the pricing is rumored to land at $799 and $899, respectively. The UK price for the top-end model is also expected to match the U.S., coming in at £899.

Phone (3) seems like an expensive affair

But a separate leak from French publication Dealabs suggests that buyers in the Eurozone may need to pay more than others. The base model is now tipped to launch at €849, while the higher-end version could go up to €949. 

There’s no word on whether the price bump is due to VAT, import duties, or just general regional pricing strategies. But the gap between the U.S. and Eurozone pricing is notable, especially considering Nothing’s past focus on value and competitive pricing. 

While the leaks come from a fairly credible source, as always, leaks aren’t final until the company makes it official.

Nothing will officially announce the Phone (3) in early July. The pre-orders are expected to start shortly after the same day, and the device is expected to launch on July 15. Phone (3) will be available in Black and White shades.

Nothing Phone (2) debuted with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 back in 2023, which was still a high end processor, but it was behind the current gen flagships that featured the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 at the time. Even for its time, the Nothing Phone (2)’s camera system lacked versatility. The primary and ultra wide angle lens were decent, but the lack of a telephoto shooter hampered the photography experience for many. Nothing learned from this, and packed both the Nothing Phone (3a) and the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro with this sensor. Meanwhile, the upcoming flagship Phone (3) could be getting a similar upgrade as well. From battery capacity to fast charging speeds, the Nothing Phone (3) is getting upgrades all around, so here’s what was confirmed.

Nothing Phone (3) surfaces with bigger battery and faster charging

Nothing’s first “true flagship” smartphone has just been spotted on the FCC database (Via TheTechOutlook), carrying the A024 model number. This device has been listed running on the Android 15 OS based on Nothing OS 3.3. It is also confirmed to feature 5G, triple band WiFi 6E, Bluetooth, and NFC for connectivity. But one of the more notable details that was revealed is the sizeable 5,150mAh battery capacity.

This isn’t impressive considering Chinese flagships’ battery size improvements, but it is still competitive in the global market against Apple and Samsung. You’re also getting an improvement over its predecessor, which debuted with a smaller 4,700mAh cell. Fast charging is also seeing a rise from the Nothing Phone (2)’s 45W wired fast charging to 65W wired fast charging. Wireless charging likely returns on this model, but the charging speeds have yet to be officially revealed.

But a massive leak confirmed many of its major features, like the 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display with a 1.5K resolution. Under the hood, it will pack the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC. On the rear, the device may feature a 50MP main + 50MP 3x telephoto + 50MP ultra wide angle camera setup. For selfies and video calls, the front is expected to house a 50MP shooter. It’s been official for a while now: Nothing is killing the Glyph Interface on the Phone (3). Today, the company revealed what’s taking its place. Say hello to Glyph Matrix.

Glyph Matrix swaps Nothing’s signature LED strips for a dot matrix-style display, similar to what we’ve seen on Asus’ ROG Phone 9 series. The new setup will unsurprisingly be more customizable than the original Glyph Interface and could offer more practical uses for users, beyond just flashy lights.

Nothing Phone (3) render could be fake

Nothing confirmed the Glyph Matrix for the Phone (3) in a latest teaser on X (formerly Twitter). Interestingly, the dot matrix panel now sits on the right side of the phone, not centered, as earlier leaks had suggested.

That detail could mean some of those leaks were off. As 9to5Google pointed out, the newly shared teaser appears to contradict a previously leaked render of the Phone (3). 

In that render, the camera module would’ve overlapped with where the Glyph Matrix now appears. With the dot matrix pushed to the right, it’s more likely that the camera setup will be left-aligned. So it seems that the earlier render of the Phone (3) is nothing but fake.

Nothing has also confirmed a few key specs for the Phone (3). It’ll run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip, and the company is promising five years of Android updates along with seven years of security patches.

As for the price, an earlier leak claims the device will start at $799 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, and $899 for the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage model.

The Phone (3) will be officially unveiled at a launch event in London on July 1, where we’re also expecting to see the debut of Nothing Headphone (1).

A typical Android smartphone gets 2 major Android OS updates and 3 years of security patches. But flagship devices typically offer at least 4 years of Android updates and longer security patches. There are some brands like Samsung, Apple, and Google that take things even further, and Nothing might be trying to improve its own software support game as well.

Akis Evangelidis, Nothing’s Co-founder, was responding to another X user over why the company decided to go with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. His explanation talked about how the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 has a better GPU, NPU, IPS, connectivity, and default software support. While the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 brings 4 years of Android updates and 4 years of security patches, the Nothing Phone (3) with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 will offer 5 years of Android upgrades and 7 years of security updates.

In comparison, its predecessor, the Nothing Phone (2), came with 3 years of Android updates. Akis tweets also adds that “Paired with all the optimisations we’ve made in Nothing OS, the result is next level. Super fast and smooooth”. The third major smartphone release from Nothing is just weeks away, and as expected, the pre-launch narrative is equal parts controlled leaks and calculated confusion. 

The device is set to launch on July 1, but the shape, features, and positioning of Phone (3) still aren’t entirely clear. Depending on which leak or official teaser you read, it’s either a continuation of the brand’s affordable-premium formula or its first attempt at a proper flagship.

Either way, this one isn’t just about specs. In typical Nothing fashion, a lot of attention is focused on design, interface minimalism, and maybe artificial intelligence in 2025. Here’s what we know all about Nothing Phone (3). 

The Glyph interface is dead

For a brand that has leaned so heavily on design for differentiation, it was surprising when Nothing publicly claimed it has “killed” the Glyph interface. 

These unique LED lighting strips have become synonymous with the brand, along with a transparent back panel. And they also doubled as notification indicators, charging status lights, and camera fill lighting.

However, Nothing seems to have realized that the Glyph interface has become more of a niche feature than a mainstream one. That’s likely why the company has now publicly confirmed that it’s killing the Glyph interface for the Phone (3).

Instead, the device may have a more customizable programmable LED panel, like on the Asus ROG Phone 9. Based on recent teasers, this could support not just basic glyph-like alerts, but potentially icons and animations as well. 

Design

When it comes to design, the Phone (3) is a big departure from its predecessor. The full design recently surfaced in a leak with the expected transparent aesthetic. But there seem to be more changes than similarities.

Notably, there’s no Glyph interface, and the rear now features a trio of cameras arranged in a rather unconventional layout. It’s a bold, polarizing look at first glance—but whether users warm up to it is another question entirely.

Specifications

As for the specs, the Phone (3) is said to feature a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display, likely with a 120Hz refresh rate. The camera setup reportedly includes a 50MP main sensor, along with ultrawide and telephoto lenses.

Performance is probably the most debated aspect of the upcoming device. Carl Pei, CEO of Nothing, has previously stated that the Phone (3) will be a flagship offering, so it’s natural to expect a Snapdragon 8-series processor, or possibly even a MediaTek Dimensity chip.

What’s interesting here is that Nothing has always prioritized delivering stable performance over chasing top-of-the-line specs. So, we wouldn’t be surprised to see the Phone (3) powered by a previous-generation flagship chip rather than the absolute newest one.

According to reports, all of this will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery, an upgrade from the 4,700mAh unit in the Phone (2). Charging capabilities are expected to include 50W wired and 20W wireless charging. 

The Essential Key and Android 15

Software-wise, the device is expected to launch with Android 15 layered with Nothing OS 3.0 or 3.2, depending on final build timing. Pei has suggested this release of the OS will carry a “cleaner” look with AI integration baked into the experience. 

Nothing calls its vision for AI “Essential Space,” a system-level interface that helps users manage screenshots, recordings, and context-aware tasks. The company is already experimenting with AI on its earbuds, using integrations like ChatGPT to provide voice-controlled assistants.

But as with much of what Nothing promises, the extent of AI’s practical value remains unclear. Until we see it in action, it’s hard to say whether this will be genuinely helpful or just surface-level branding.

Will the Phone (3) Really Be a Flagship?

If the early signs are anything to go by, the Nothing Phone (3) will continue the company’s core philosophy: minimalist design, functional aesthetics, and a deliberately pared-back software experience. But what’s less clear is how the company intends to define “flagship.”

At the higher end of the market, competition is fierce and increasingly defined by camera performance, AI integration, display quality, and long-term software support. 

While Nothing’s design is distinctive, the absence of confirmed high-end features like a telephoto lens, variable refresh rates above 120Hz, or real-time AI photo processing could keep it a step below true flagships from Samsung, OnePlus, or Apple.

Pricing and Availability

The Phone (3) is set to debut on July 1, 2025, just ahead of Samsung’s summer Galaxy Unpacked event. As for the price, the base 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model of the Phone (3) is reportedly priced at $799 (approximately Rs 68,320). 

This is basically a $100 (around Rs 5,560) price hike compared to the same variant of the Nothing Phone 2. Whereas, the higher-end 16/512GB model will cost $899 or some Rs 77,500. Last but not least, the Phone (3) will be available in Black or White color options.

However, the tweet says that “We killed the Glyph Interface.” To recall, the Glyph interface was basically a series of LEDs at the back of Nothing smartphones that served as Nothing’s lighting system.

This made Nothing phones easily recognizable as they stood out from the crowd. These didn’t serve just looks, but also offered various useful functions. It could light up whenever you get calls, messages, or some other kind of notifications. You could even customize the entire Glyph LED. While Nothing did state that its next gen flagship will feature “premium materials” for an improved design language, the trade off might be the Glyph.

Nothing was known for its transparent designs with LED lighting, so the “premium materials” might even suggest a titanium build. The Glyph being removed might make the Phone (3) lose its unique Nothing identity, but it is refreshing to see what the brand is cooking up with its new flagship phone that was two years in the making.

This is similar to the recently unveiled CMF Phone 2 Pro, an affordable smartphone from its budget sub-brand. Apart from this, the only other thing confirmed in the teaser is the Flipkart availability for the Indian market. Based on what we know so far, CEO and Found Carl Pei revealed that the Nothing Phone (3) will be a true flagship phone. Nothing Phone (3): Design & Display

Carl Pei, the CEO and founder of Nothing, revealed a bunch of details regarding the Nothing Phone (3), particularly its design. The senior official stated that the Phone (3) will be a flagship smartphone that will employ “premium materials,” which might be hinting at either an advanced glass or a titanium frame. We can also expect it to continue the brand’s transparent design language that blends with the Glyph LED interface. Similar to the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro, the upcoming premium model could include a customizable Action button, which is clearly inspired by the newer iPhones.

On the front, the Nothing Phone (3) may sport a 6.5-inch AMOLED display. It is unclear whether there is a Phone (3) Pro model, but rumors have hinted at a taller 6.7-inch OLED panel. Unfortunately, finer details are still at large but we can expect it to offer 1.5K resolution, HDR support, and a high 120Hz refresh rate.

Hardware

Apart from just the design, Carl Pei also talked about how there are “major performance upgrades” on the upcoming Nothing Phone (3). To recall, the last gen Phone (2) model launched with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, which was a generation behind what other flagship phones offered at the time.

However, the brand plans on bringing cutting edge hardware, which could be either a Snapdragon 8 Elite, Dimensity 9400, or Dimensity 9400+ SoC. A recent report had claimed that the device will be powered by a flagship grade Snapdragon chipset. So it could also offer the Snapdragon 8 Elite or Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. Battery details are still sketchy, but the 5,000mAh battery might be making a return once again.

For photography, the report also claimed that the rear camera system includes a “large primary sensor,” which is paired with a periscope telephoto shooter. Like its predecessor, we can also expect an ultra wide angle lens. This would make it in line with the Nothing Phone (3a) series, which also features a triple camera setup at the back.

Launch timeline and Pricing

An official launch date for the Nothing Phone (3)/ Phone (3) Pro is still unknown. But an official teaser has confirmed that the device is debuting sometime in July 2025. Carl Pei has also confirmed the US availability at the start of this month. However, one notable detail he confirmed is the pricing. The Nothing Phone (3) will be released for around 800 GBP, which translates to about 1,063 USD or 91,000 INR. The Phone (3) will arrive later this year in Q3. And a new leak may have just given us a clearer idea of when to expect it.

Tipster Yogesh Brar on X replied cryptically “7/25” in a thread about the Nothing Phone (3)’s Q3 launch. But in follow-up replies, Brar makes it clear that the date is for the release of Phone (3).

Nothing Phone (3) might launch in July

If Nothing sticks to that timeline, it wouldn’t come as a surprise. Both the Phone (1) and Phone (2) were unveiled in July, and it looks like Nothing wants to keep that summer release cycle going for its mainline phones.

As for what the Phone (3) will actually offer, we don’t know yet. Nothing hasn’t shared any specs or teased much about the device. 

The Phone (2) turned out to be a meaningful improvement over the original model. It offers better battery life, more polished hardware, and a cleaner, more stable version of Nothing OS. Still, it didn’t quite have the muscle to take on flagship heavyweights from Samsung, Google, or Apple.

Can the Phone (3) change that? We will have to wait and watch. Nothing has found a niche among tech enthusiasts who appreciate its design quirks and minimalist software.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge

Samsung is working on a highly anticipated flagship model that is shaping up to be an ultra slim premium smartphone. The device in question is the Galaxy S25 Edge. The Edge doesn’t suggest the old curved screens, rather, a razer thin form factor. One of its highlighting aspects is its 5 to 6mm thin chassis and lightweight body.

But Chinese brands are also bringing some relatively compact devices with an upcoming model being the Vivo X200 Pro Mini. It is a flagship grade device with cutting edge Zeiss cameras, a 6.31-inch display, and a massive 5,700mAh battery despite its small build.

Only the base X200 and X200 Pro made it to the global market, but recently rumors have hinted at the Vivo X200 Pro Mini heading to the Indian market along with the X200 Ultra. The Xiaomi 15 was also recently unveiled with a similar display size, so the X200 Pro Mini will likely be another Chinese contender to the Galaxy S25 and the iPhone 16.

Nothing Phone (3)

It has been a while since we’ve seen a flagship smartphone from Carl Pei’s Nothing. The brand just announced the new Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro as mid range models with great specs. But there have also been reports regarding a premium device also being in the works.

This model is expected to be dubbed the Nothing Phone (3). Rumros have hinted at a tall 6.7-inch LTPO OLED panel and the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 (or higher) processor. A sizeable 5,000mAh battery pack could power this transparent device, which will likely offer 65W wired fast charging. The Phone (3) will likely retain the Glyph LED interface along with a transparent back and aluminum frame for its iconic design. Similar to the Phone (3a) series, we can expect the inclusion of a triple camera setup with a periscope telephoto shooter.

OnePlus 13 Mini/13T

Sticking with the trend of Chinese smartphone brands making compact flagship phones, we have the OnePlus 13T or OnePlus 13 Mini. This model is rumored to sport a 6.3-inch display on the front, while the rear may feature a dual camera setup similar to the Galaxy S25 Edge. However, it has two major advantages in terms of hardware.

The OnePlus 13T might be the cheapest Snapdragon 8 Elite powered smartphone and it might house a massive 6,000mAh battery pack despite its small build. This device could offer wired fast charging and wireless fast charging support along with an optical in-display fingerprint scanner.

Matching OnePlus, Xiaomi, and Vivo, Chinese OEM Oppo is also rumored to be working on a new “Mini” phone. The exact name of this model is still unclear but reports have claimed that it could be either the Find X8s or the Find X8 Mini. Just like the OnePlus 13T, the smartphone is expected to have a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display on the front.

On the rear, there is a triple camera setup with a periscope telephoto shooter. Similar to the X200 Pro Mini, it may pack a big 5,700mAh battery pack with 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging. Other notable features include an IP68/69 rated body, 50MP triple cameras, and the Dimensity 9400+ SoC.

Nothing Phone (3a)

If the Nothing Phone (2a) was any indication, the upcoming Nothing Phone (3a) is expected to be a solid mid-range device that blends affordability with a design language that stands out. While Nothing has yet to reveal any details, but leaks and rumor suggest it will have:

• Display: A 6.8-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, likely sticking to a flat-panel design.
• Chipset: Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, an upgrade over Dimensity 7200 Pro on the Phone (2a).

The Phone (3a) will be positioned as a mid-range alternative for users who want a Nothing device without the flagship price tag. The key selling point will remain its design, clean Android experience, and value-for-money hardware.

Nothing Phone (3a) Pro

Going by the name, the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro could be an entirely new addition to Nothing’s portfolio. But it’s also possible that it’s just a successor to the Phone (2a) Plus—just with a name change. After all, “Pro” sounds more marketable than “Plus,” right?

If that’s the case, the Phone (3a) Pro is likely to have specs that are almost identical to the Phone (3a). Both are rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip, but the Pro model could stand out with a periscope telephoto lens instead of the standard telephoto setup on the Phone (3a).

Nothing Phone (3)

The Nothing Phone (3) is expected to be the company’s true successor to the Nothing Phone (2). If history is any guide, we can expect a mix of refinements rather than drastic overhauls. The Phone (3) will likely focus on better optimization, slightly improved hardware, and enhanced software features.

Expected Features:

• Display: A 6.7-inch OLED panel with LTPO support, allowing a variable refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz for better battery efficiency.
• Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, which is expected to bring significant improvements in AI processing and efficiency.

Should You Wait for a Nothing Phone in 2025?

Nothing has been gearing up to launch its next smartphone, and after days of cryptic teasers, we finally have a date to mark on our calendars—March 4 at 10:00 GMT / 3:30 PM IST.

The company confirmed the launch via X (formerly Twitter), where it also shared an image that appears to showcase the phone’s camera module. The design features a pill-shaped module with two prominent cutouts, hinting at a possible triple-camera setup for the phone.

It’s likely not the Phone (3)

But here’s where things get interesting: we’re still not sure if this is the highly anticipated Nothing Phone (3) or an entirely different device. 

A previously leaked email from Nothing co-founder Carl Pei hints that the company is planning to launch a “landmark smartphone” in Q1 2025. And the language used in the mail suggests this wouldn’t be the Phone (3).

With March being the final month of the quarter, this teaser could very well be for that mysterious new device.

As for the Nothing Phone (3), based on what we know so far, the company plans to launch it sometime in the first half of 2025. Nothing has teased “breakthrough innovations in the user interface” for the upcoming model, suggesting a major software or interaction upgrade.

A recent Geekbench listing hints that the Phone (3) may be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC. The listed device featured 8GB of RAM, scored 1,149 in single-core and 2,813 in multi-core tests, and was running Android 15. Nothing is also expected to introduce a more powerful Phone (3) Pro, likely as the true successor to the Phone (2).

Beyond the chipset, the Phone (3) is rumored to feature a 6.5-inch OLED display and could start at around $600 (₹50,000).

Just a couple of days ago, Nothing shared a pixelated image of the fire-type Pokemon Arcanine, and twitted “first tweet from new device”. This is expected to be the “landmark” codenamed phone, which was mentioned in the leaked email from the CEO to his employees. Now Nothing has posted a design sketch related to the phone.

A transparent back design

This sketch appears to be about the transparent back panel of the phone, which includes screws and other internal components. Although, it doesn’t show the entire rear panel but only certain elements. So, we cannot be sure if it will include the company’s signature Glyph lights on the back.

While we are not completely sure which device this teaser represents, two devices recently received green flag in India: Nothing Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Plus. Notably, a new CMF-branded phone (speculated to be the CMF Phone 2) was also recently spotted on GSMA’s IMEI database. Another upcoming Nothing device (with model number 24111) was recently spotted on FCC.

The sketch above likely represents one of these devices. While we aren’t sure which one it’s going to be and how it’s exactly going to look like, Nothing co-founder, Akis Evangelidis confirmed the new product is launching soon. “About time – launching soon.”

Is it Nothing Phone (3)?

Significant in the context, the previously leaked email confirms that the Nothing Phone (3) will launch this year with “breakthrough innovations” in the UI. It could also be the company’s first step towards the AI-powered user interface. It will be interesting to see how the UI stands out in intelligence from those its competitors offer.

While I have mentioned a number of devices above, Nothing CEO has already confirmed that the “landmark” with be their first phone of 2025 and it will launch as soon as in Q1. So expect complete details within March this year. According to previous reports, the “landmark” could represent the much-anticipated Nothing Phone (3). Just take it with a pinch of salt for now, as nothing is concrete about “landmark” yet.

Nothing has released limited edition phones for its older phones, so there might be a larger collaboration coming in future models.

Arcanine might be the codename for the Nothing Phone (3). So this might just be a teaser for the smartphone and not a special edition confirmation. Unfortunately, this is all the information that we could decipher from the tweet. Earlier this month, leaked emails from Carl Pei showcased the brand’s ambitious plans for 2025 with a Nothing Phone (3) along with a new “landmark” device as well.

A new Nothing branded smartphone has surfaced on the FCC certification platform. The company might be gearing up to launch a new Nothing Phone in the US. This upcoming device just surfaced on the FCC database. So here’s everything we know so far.

Unreleased Nothing Phone spotted on FCC

Just recently, leaked email from Nothing CEO Carl Pei was leaked. This email outlined the company’s plans for new smartphones like the Nothing Phone (3) and a major smartphone launch in the first quarter of 2025. So there’s a chance that this might be the mystery Nothing Phone. The latest FCC sighting was shared by 91Mobiles and the listing revealed the 24111 model numbers. So it might be launching in the US as well.

The unreleased Nothing Phone also has the 2AZEQ-24111 FCC ID, although, this might be a temporary ID. In the 91Mobiles report, the publication shared a power of attorney that was submitted by Nothing at the FCC. This says that it doesn’t want to list the product on the certification database over some changes in its marketing plan. So we can expect the brand to resubmit the application later on.

Nothing skipped the launch of its flagship smartphones this year, with the last high-end model, Phone (2), being announced in 2023. Now, the successor to this device has just surfaced on a benchmarking platform. This has revealed the chipset that powers the upcoming Nothing Phone (3), so let’s check it out.

Nothin Phone (3): Back to Mid-Range?

The new smartphone was spotted on the GeekBench platform (Via 91Mobiles), carrying the A059 model number. This model is believed to be the Nothing Phone (3), which is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC and 8GB of RAM. With this processor, the company received 1,149 points on the single core test and 2,813 points on the multi core test. The listing confirms that it runs on the Android 15 OS out of the box that will likely be based on the NothingOS 3.0 custom skin.

This may seem odd since the Nothing Phone (2) was a high-end device with Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. So it might seem like Nothing is going back to a mid-range phone on the Phone (3), similar to the Phone (1). However, this might just be the base model of the Phone (3) series. A couple of months ago, two mysterious Nothing Phones were spotted on the IMEI database, namely A059 and A059P. The latter is likely the more powerful Pro variant.

Based on what we know so far, the Nothing Phone (3) had its launch possibly pushed back to 2025. It might also include an Action Button. The vanilla Nothing Phone (3) could sport a 6.5-inch display, while the Nothing Phone (3) Pro could be equipped with a taller 6.7-inch display. While the upcoming third iteration was initially rumored to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, it might move to a mid-range status again. Meanwhile, the Pro model could be called the Nothing Phone (3)+ and may feature the Dimensity 9400 SoC.

The London-based company is expected to follow the same tradition with the Phone (3). It will be the brand’s next major product announcement. While information about the Nothing Phone (3) is yet to surface on the web, Carl Pei shared an image on X that gives away a key detail. 

Nothing Phone (3) could get an action button

Pei shared an image of the redesigned quick settings and notification panel on the Nothing OS. It is expected to be included on the Nothing OS 3 later this year. Coming back to the main context, the redesign is shown on a mockup of the device. At first glance, things don’t appear any different and it looks just like the Phone (2) and Phone (1). 

However, eagle-eyed folks can notice that the mockup device has a new additional button on the right frame just below the power key. It is small and leads many of us to believe that it could be an action button, an alert slider, or a dedicated camera shutter button. The action button is found on the iPhone 15 Pro models whereas the alert slider is prominent on OnePlus phones. Upon a closer look, one can also notice that the power and volume rocker keys are also positioned higher on the device. 

The speculations about the new physical button hint that it could be present on the upcoming Nothing Phone (3). The device in the mockup is seen with a metal frame, a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout, and minimal screen bezels. The Phone (3) is rumored to be powered by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. The image shared by Pei surely does build the hype for smartphones. We expect more leaks to surface in the coming weeks.

Nothing has been rumored to be working on a new smartphone for some time now. Recent reports have hinted at the device being the Phone 2a model. But now, a new report has tipped the launch date for this device as well as the next gen flagship Nothing Phone 3 as well. So here are all the details

Nothing Phone 3 & Phone 2a Launch Timeline

The news arrives from tipster @saaaanjjjuuu who shared the information on X (formerly Twitter). In the tweet, he revealed that the Phone 2a will be launching in the first quarter of this year. In other words, we can expect an announcement between January and March 2024. The tipster also added that the premium Nothing Phone 3 will be released in July 2024.

However, this is not all as the company is also working on a hearable product as well. He claims that the brand is also working on truly wireless earbuds that are dubbed the CMF Nothing Buds 2 Pro. The official name of these earbuds is still unclear, although, the TWS could be the direct successor to the CMF’s Buds Pro. So it could be a part of the CMF By Nothing branding as the Buds 2 Pro.

Based on the recent Phone 2a rumors, the device could sport a tall 6.7-inch AMOLED display that features a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. Meanwhile, the rear packs a 50-megapixel Samsung S5KGN9 shooter with a 1/1.5 inch sensor size and 1.0 micron pixel size. This is paired with a 50-megapixel Samsung S5KJN1 ultra wide angle lens with a 1/2.76 inch sensor size and 0.64 micron pixel size. For selfies and video calls, the front houses a 32-megapixel Sony IMX615 camera.
