<p>Now that Nothing’s third-gen lineup is complete, you’ve got three phones to choose from: the flagship-grade <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/01/nothing-phone-3-launch-specs-glyph-matrix-price-news/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Phone  (3)</a>, the mid-range <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/nothing-phone-3a/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Phone (3a)</a>, and the slightly more camera‑focused <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/nothing-phone-3a-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Phone (3a) Pro</a>. Whether you&#8217;re looking for the signature Glyph lighting experience, a reliable daily driver, or flagship performance with long-term software support, there&#8217;s a Nothing Phone that fits your needs. So read on to see which model is right for you.</p>

<h3>Nothing Phone (3): The True Flagship</h3>

<p>After keeping us waiting for two years, Nothing finally announced its latest flagship model. But what makes it better than the other two models? Well, almost everything if you take a look at the performance, camera, design, and more. The Nothing Phone (3) is equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. While this isn&#8217;t as powerful as the Snapdragon 8 Elite, it still offers top notch performance and is much faster than the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Nothing-Phone-3-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="Nothing-Phone-3" class="wp-image-696413" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Nothing-Phone-3-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Nothing-Phone-3-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Nothing-Phone-3-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Nothing-Phone-3-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Nothing-Phone-3-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Nothing-Phone-3-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Nothing-Phone-3-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Nothing-Phone-3.jpg 1600w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Nothing Phone (3)</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>It packs a large 5,500mAh battery with a faster 65W wired and 15W wireless fast charging support. Another upgrade over its predecessor is the camera system. We now get a triple camera setup, which includes a 50MP (Main, OIS, 1/1.3&#8243;) + 50MP (Ultrawide, 1/2.76″) + 50MP (OIS, 3x zoom, 1/2.75″) on the rear and a 50MP (1/2.76″) selfie camera on the front. The screen is a 6.67-inch LTPS AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, 1600 nits of peak brightness, and 2160Hz PWM dimming. </p>

<p>This makes it more versatile than the Phone (2), while also offering the biggest main camera from any Nothing phone to date. It starts at 79,999 INR for the base 12GB + 256GB model, which confirms its premium positioning. For this price, you get the Glyph Matrix display (natural evolution of the Glyph LED), AI powered Essential Space, and more. So if you&#8217;re a fan of the brand and can afford the premium price tag, this device is great for photography, gaming, and more.</p>

<h3>Nothing Phone (3a): The Value Mid-Ranger</h3>

<p>With a starting price of 24,999 INR, the Nothing Phone (3a) is the most affordable model from the series. This mid range price tag brings a tall 6.77-inch LTPS AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, 3000 nits of peak brightness, and 2160Hz PWM dimming on the front. Meanwhile, the rear has a 50MP (Main, 1/1.56″, OIS) + 8MP (Ultrawide) + 50MP (2x zoom, OIS, 1/2.74″) setup with a 32MP selfie shooter on the front.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Phone-3a-1024x683.png?x44794" alt="Nothing Phone (3a)" class="wp-image-694250" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Phone-3a-1024x683.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Phone-3a-300x200.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Phone-3a-768x512.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Phone-3a-696x464.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Phone-3a-1068x712.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Phone-3a-630x420.png 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Phone-3a.png 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Nothing Phone (3a)</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Powering this model is the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip. Other notable features include a 5,000 mAh battery with 50W charging, and an IP64 rating for water and dust resistance. So if you want to get one of the latest experiences from Nothing without spending a hefty price, this is a great pick. At this budget, the device is one of the best in the segment when you consider the overall package of software and cameras.</p>

<h3>Nothing Phone (3a) Pro: Photo-focused Mid-Ranger</h3>

<p>In terms of overall specs, the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro is nearly identical to the base Phone (3a). This means you still get a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, the same main and ultra wide angle cameras, an IP64 rating, and a 5,000mAh battery with 50W wired fast charging. But what makes it special is the improved 50MP selfie shooter and the 50MP Sony LYT600 telephoto camera that has a 1/1.95″ sensor and 3x optical zoom, which is a sensor larger than the one found in the flagship Phone (3).</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-1024x1024.jpeg?x44794" alt="Nothing Phone (3a) Pro" class="wp-image-674787" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-1024x1024.jpeg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-300x300.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-150x150.jpeg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-768x768.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-1536x1536.jpeg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-2048x2048.jpeg 2048w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-696x696.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-1068x1068.jpeg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-1920x1920.jpeg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-420x420.jpeg 420w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Nothing Phone (3a) Pro</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>But for these upgrades, you have to pay a slightly higher 29,999 INR starting price. If you&#8217;re someone who constantly takes zoomed pictures, the Phone (3a) Pro is definitely worth the extra cost. It also meets a perfect balance of price, performance, and features. Once again, Nothing places an extra focus on the Nothing OS, which is a great and unique Android experience. With a more approachable price, this model easily delivers the second best experience from Nothing.</p>

<p>The update adds a Hotspot Manager, which makes it easier to manage devices connected to the phone’s hotspot. Camera improvements include clearer selfies with better face detail and more natural colors. Night shots under streetlights have been enhanced for better image quality. Filters can now be used on high-resolution 50MP photos. The update also improves brightness and reduces flicker when using the telephoto camera in low-light conditions.</p>

<p>The update brings the April Android security patch, along with general bug fixes and stability improvements. The rollout is happening in phases and will reach more Nothing Phone (3a) users soon.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/nothing/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nothing</a>’s latest mid-range lineup, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/nothing-phone-3a/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Phone (3a)</a> series, introduced a new hardware shortcut called the Essential Key. Located below the power button, the Essential Key allows users to quickly capture screenshots, record voice memos, or open a new software hub called Essential Space with a single, double, or long press.</p>

<p>Essential Space is designed to help users collect and organize ideas, notes, and other on-the-go content. Nothing says it plans to expand the feature set over time, and the interface already uses some AI-based tools for content organization. But it seems the company could be planning to put some of those features behind a paywall.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="672" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Essential-Space-key.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-675773" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Essential-Space-key.jpg 672w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Essential-Space-key-300x268.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Essential-Space-key-470x420.jpg 470w" sizes="(max-width: 672px) 100vw, 672px" /></figure></div>

<h2><strong>Code strings hint at paid subscription for Essential Space</strong> </h2>

<p><em>Android Authority</em> found code strings in the latest version of the Essential Space app that hint at possible monetization. The code mentions terms like “free trial” and “AI credits,” suggesting that certain features may eventually require payment.</p>

<p>The strings specifically mention tools such as Smart Collections, Focused Search, Flip to Record, and Camera Capture alongside references to a one-year free trial.&nbsp;</p>

<p>What’s ridiculous, however, is that one line even mentions a $120 fee to enroll in the program. As <em>Android Authority </em>points out, it&#8217;s unlikely to be the price of a monthly subscription as that would be too high. Instead, it could be an annual or even lifetime subscription fee.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="244" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-Essential-Space-Subscription.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-679235" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-Essential-Space-Subscription.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-Essential-Space-Subscription-300x81.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-Essential-Space-Subscription-768x208.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-Essential-Space-Subscription-696x189.jpg 696w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>Still, it feels a little early for Nothing to start monetizing these features. Essential Space is in its early stages and is mostly limited to basic functions like screenshots and voice recordings. Even these are currently in beta.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In response to the report, a Nothing spokesperson told <em>Android Authority</em> that “no decisions have been made yet around potential pricing” and that the company is currently focused on improving the product.</p>

<p>Even if the company is serious about monetization, it may need to offer something more substantial than what&#8217;s available today.</p>

<p>The update introduces Essential Key support in the Camera app. A short press adds a text note to a photo, while a long press records a voice memo. This allows users to separate photo reminders in Essential Space from their main photo library.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/1742837888-516087-16x9-logo-copy01-large-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-678733" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/1742837888-516087-16x9-logo-copy01-large-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/1742837888-516087-16x9-logo-copy01-large-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/1742837888-516087-16x9-logo-copy01-large-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/1742837888-516087-16x9-logo-copy01-large-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/1742837888-516087-16x9-logo-copy01-large-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/1742837888-516087-16x9-logo-copy01-large-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/1742837888-516087-16x9-logo-copy01-large.jpg 1280w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<h3><strong>Camera Fixes</strong></h3>

<p>Both devices now correct reddish skin tones in selfies, improve white balance for indoor shots, and provide better portrait output in backlit scenes. Zoom controls are now easier to use, and camera speed has been increased. The Pro model includes more accurate focus at 2x zoom.</p>

<h3><strong>System Changes</strong></h3>

<p>Always-On Display transitions are now smoother. Essential Space, Nothing’s built-in productivity hub, runs with fewer delays. The update also fixes known bugs and improves overall stability.</p>

<h3><strong>Coming Features</strong></h3>

<p>Essential Space will soon support Smart Collections for automatic note grouping, Focused Search for faster access, and Flip to Record, allowing users to start a voice memo by flipping the phone.</p>

While both devices cater to a similar segment, they take different approaches to design, performance, and user experience. Let’s break down the differences and see which one might be the better choice for you.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-design.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-675764" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-design.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-design-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-design-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-design-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-design-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<h3><strong>Design &amp; Display</strong></h3>

<p>Samsung sticks to its tried-and-tested design language with the Galaxy A56, featuring a flat 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It reaches up to 1,900 nits peak brightness, making it highly visible outdoors, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+. The device boasts an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, ensuring better durability than its competitor.</p>

<p>On the other hand, Nothing continues its unique transparent aesthetic with the Phone (3a) Pro. It features a slightly smaller 6.77-inch AMOLED display but offers an impressive 3,000 nits peak brightness, making it one of the brightest screens in the mid-range segment. It also supports HDR10+ for better contrast and color reproduction. The device features an IP64 rating, which is slightly inferior to the Galaxy A56 in terms of water resistance but still offers decent protection.</p>

<h3><strong>Performance &amp; Software</strong></h3>

<p>Samsung’s Galaxy A56 is powered by the Exynos 1580 chipset, built on a 4nm process, and paired with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/amd/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">AMD</a> Xclipse 540 GPU. This setup offers solid performance for everyday tasks and gaming. Samsung has also equipped the device with a larger vapor chamber for improved thermal management.</p>

<p>In contrast, the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro opts for <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/qualcomm/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Qualcomm</a>’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. While efficient, it slightly lags behind the Exynos 1580 in raw performance. However, Nothing OS 3.1, based on Android 15, delivers a clean, bloat-free experience that may appeal to those who prefer stock Android.</p>

<p>Samsung promises six years of Android OS and One UI updates, making the Galaxy A56 a long-term investment. Nothing, on the other hand, offers only three years of major Android updates but matches Samsung with six years of security patches.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="532" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A56-1024x532.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy A56" class="wp-image-676425" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A56-1024x532.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A56-300x156.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A56-768x399.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A56-696x362.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A56-1068x555.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A56-809x420.jpg 809w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A56.jpg 1440w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<h3><strong>Cameras</strong></h3>

<p>Both phones offer solid camera hardware, but Nothing takes a more ambitious approach. The Galaxy A56 features a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 5MP macro lens. It supports 10-bit HDR recording and an improved Nightography mode for better low-light shots. Samsung also introduces the ‘Best Face’ feature, which helps users select the best facial expressions in group photos.</p>

<p>Nothing ups the ante with its 50MP main sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto camera with up to 60x digital zoom. The 3a Pro also offers a higher-resolution 50MP front camera, compared to the Galaxy A56’s 12MP selfie shooter. If zoom photography is a priority, the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro is the better choice.</p>

<h3><strong>Battery &amp; Charging</strong></h3>

<p>Both phones house a 5,000mAh battery, but charging speeds differ. The Galaxy A56 supports 45W fast charging, which is fast but slightly slower than the 50W charging offered by the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro. Nothing claims its device can charge from 0 to 50% in just 19 minutes, and to 100% in under an hour. However, the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro lacks wireless charging, something Samsung also omits in the Galaxy A56.</p>

<h3><strong>Additional Features</strong></h3>

<p>Samsung includes an in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, and NFC. The Galaxy A56 also benefits from Samsung’s enterprise-grade security with features like Knox and a special Enterprise Edition that gets an extra year of security updates.</p>

<p>Nothing stands out with its Glyph Interface, which adds customizable LED notifications that can sync with apps like Uber, Zomato, and more. The new Essential Key below the power button offers quick access to the AI-powered Essential Space, providing a unique productivity tool for users who like quick note-taking and voice recording.</p>

<h3><strong>Pricing &amp; Availability</strong></h3>

<p>The Samsung Galaxy A56 is priced at $499.99 for the base 8GB + 128GB model, while the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro starts at around $360 for the 8GB + 128GB model, making it significantly more affordable.</p>

<h3><strong>Verdict: Which One Should You Buy?</strong></h3>

<p>If you want a long-term device with better software support, stronger durability (IP67), and a more refined ecosystem, the Samsung Galaxy A56 is the better pick. Its AMOLED display, optimized performance, and security features make it a reliable choice, especially for enterprise users.</p>

<p>However, if you prefer a unique design, brighter display, better telephoto zoom, and faster charging, then the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro is a great alternative, especially at a much lower price.</p>

<p>Ultimately, it comes down to priorities: Samsung offers stability and longevity, while Nothing brings innovation and affordability to the table.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/nothing-phone-3a/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nothing Phone (3a)</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/nothing-phone-3a-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Phone (3a) Pro</a> are here, and at first glance, they seem nearly identical. Both devices sport the signature transparent design, the flashy Glyph LED lights, and Nothing OS 3.1 running on Android 15.&nbsp;</p>

<p>They even share the same Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, battery capacity, and display specs. But with a price gap that stretches up to ₹9,000 between the two models, is the Phone (3a) Pro worth the extra cash? Let&#8217;s break it down.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="722" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-series-at-MWC-1024x722.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-675669" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-series-at-MWC-1024x722.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-series-at-MWC-300x211.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-series-at-MWC-768x541.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-series-at-MWC-696x490.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-series-at-MWC-596x420.png 596w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-series-at-MWC-100x70.png 100w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-series-at-MWC.png 1063w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Nothing Phone (3a) &#8211; Left \ Nothing Phone (3a) Pro &#8211; Right</figcaption></figure></div>

<h3><strong>Identical Core Experience</strong></h3>

<p>At first glance, the Nothing Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro seem like two distinct models, but their similarities make the choice surprisingly straightforward. Both feature a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset — a capable yet modest performer built on a 4nm process. This is paired with 8GB (up to 12GB on Pro) LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Both phones sport a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support, capable of hitting 3000 nits peak brightness. And the display is protected by Panda Glass, a less common alternative to Gorilla Glass but still robust enough for daily wear and tear.</p>

<p>The phones also share a 5,000mAh battery that supports 50W wired charging. It is rated to deliver a full charge in under an hour. In day-to-day use, this combination should easily power through a full day with room to spare.</p>

<h3><strong>Differences</strong></h3>

<p>So, where does the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro pull ahead? Unsurprisingly, the camera setup is the biggest differentiator between the two.&nbsp;</p>

<p>On paper, the Nothing Phone 3a and 3a Pro feature similar triple-camera setups. Both include a 50MP main sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide, and a dedicated telephoto lens. However, the key difference is:</p>

<ul><li>The <strong>3a</strong> has a <strong>50MP 2x telephoto camera</strong>.</li><li>The <strong>3a Pro</strong> upgrades this to a <strong>50MP periscope telephoto</strong> with 3x optical zoom and a larger sensor.</li></ul>

<p>For everyday use, the standard 50MP telephoto on the 3a should be enough for zoom shots. But for those who want a bit more reach, the periscope lens on the 3a Pro offers better zoom capabilities.</p>

<p>There’s a difference in terms of selfies too — the 3a Pro has a 50MP front-facing camera, while the standard model opts for a 32MP shooter. The Pro variant also supports 4K video recording on the front camera, while the 3a maxes out at 1080p.</p>

<p>As for design, the 3a Pro is slightly heavier at 211g compared to the 3a’s 201g, though both retain the company’s signature Glyph lighting system usable as a notification indicator or as camera fill lighting.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The models also share an IP64 rating, meaning they’re resistant to dust and light splashes but shouldn’t be submerged in water.</p>

<h3><strong>Software and Ecosystem</strong></h3>

<p>Both phones run Nothing OS 3.1 on top of Android 15. Nothing OS has always focused on a clean, bloat-free experience, and that trend continues here.</p>

<p>However, the biggest talking point this time is that the company is promising six years of Android and security patch updates — the longest support period for a Nothing phone yet.</p>

<p>Additionally, the 3a Pro includes eSIM support alongside dual nano-SIM slots (except in India). This feature is unlikely to matter for most buyers, unless you’re a frequent international traveller. But given how similar these phones are otherwise, this isn’t a major selling point.</p>

<h3><strong>Pricing</strong></h3>

<p>The Phone (3a) starts at ₹22,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant, while the Phone (3a) Pro starts at ₹27,999 for the same configuration. This ₹5,000 difference becomes more significant as you scale up the storage tiers:</p>

<ul><li><strong>8GB + 256GB</strong>: ₹24,999 (3a) vs ₹29,999 (3a Pro)</li><li><strong>12GB + 256GB</strong>: Not available on 3a; ₹31,999 (3a Pro)</li></ul>

<p>For budget-conscious buyers, the Phone (3a) offers excellent value with minimal compromises. However, the added camera versatility, better selfie experience, and eSIM support make the Pro model a tempting upgrade for those who prioritize photography or travel frequently.</p>

<h3><strong>So, Which One Should You Buy?</strong></h3>

<p>If you&#8217;re simply after a solid mid-range smartphone with Nothing&#8217;s signature aesthetics and smooth software experience, the Phone (3a) will likely meet your needs at a lower price. Its 2x telephoto lens and capable selfie camera are more than enough for casual users.</p>

<p>However, if you value camera performance — particularly zoom capabilities — or want enhanced selfie shots with 4K video recording, the Phone (3a) Pro could be worth paying extra.</p>

At this range, it competes with popular smartphones from other brands, so now, here&#8217;s a quick comparison against Xiaomi&#8217;s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-note-14-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Redmi Note 14 Pro+</a>.</p>

<h3>Nothing Phone (3a) Pro vs Redmi Note 14 Pro+: Design &amp; Display</h3>

<p>With the Phone (3a) Pro, Nothing brings back its iconic transparent design that includes the Glyph LED lighting interface. These strips consist of three LED strips. On the other hand, the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ has a more conventional design. Both models have a glass rear panel, but the Redmi offers an aluminum frame while the Phone (3a) Pro has a plastic middle frame.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-design.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-675764" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-design.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-design-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-design-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-design-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-design-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /><figcaption>Nothing Phone (3a) Pro</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro sports a taller 6.77-inch AMOLED display that has an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 3000 nits of peak brightness. Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ has a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a FHD+ resolution, 3000 nits of peak brightness, and a 120Hz refresh rate as well.</p>

<h3>Specifications</h3>

<p>Under the hood, both devices are equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC. However, the Phone (3a) Pro pairs this chip with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage while the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ maxes out at 12GB + 256GB. However, one area where the Redmi has a slight advantage over Nothing&#8217;s latest device is battery size and charging. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="812" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Redmi-Note-14-Pro-1-1024x812.png?x44794" alt="Redmi Note 14 Pro+" class="wp-image-664628" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Redmi-Note-14-Pro-1-1024x812.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Redmi-Note-14-Pro-1-300x238.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Redmi-Note-14-Pro-1-768x609.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Redmi-Note-14-Pro-1-696x552.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Redmi-Note-14-Pro-1-1068x847.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Redmi-Note-14-Pro-1-530x420.png 530w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Redmi-Note-14-Pro-1.png 1226w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Redmi Note 14 Pro+</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Nothing Phone (3a) Pro is powered by a 5,000mAh battery pack, which supports 50W wired fast charging. But the brand does not ship the device with a charging brick in the box. The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ has a slightly bigger 5,110mAh battery but with a faster 120W wired fast charging. </p>

<h3>Camera</h3>

<p>You get a triple camera setup on both smartphones, which includes a telephoto shooter. The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro features a 50MP (Main) + 8MP (Ultra Wide) + 50MP (Telephoto) setup on the rear. The periscope sensor offers up to 3x optical zoom, with both the main and telephoto also supporting OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). For selfies and video calls, there is a 50MP shooter on the front.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="640" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-2-1024x640.png?x44794" alt="Nothing Phone (3a) Pro" class="wp-image-674789" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-2-1024x640.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-2-300x188.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-2-768x480.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-2-696x435.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-2-1068x668.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-2-672x420.png 672w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-2.png 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>On the Redmi Note 14 Pro+, the 50MP (Main) + 8MP (Ultra Wide) + 50MP (Telephoto) makes a return but with different sensors and a telephoto that offers 2.5x optical zoom. The two sensors save the ultra wide get OIS and the front has a 20MP selfie camera. </p>

<h3>Pricing</h3>

<p>Xiaomi sells the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ for a starting price tag of 30,999 INR for the 8GB + 128GB option. Nothing sells its latest Phone (3a) Pro for 29,999 INR for the same storage configuration, but bank offers bring it down to around 27,999 INR. </p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/03/04/nothing-phone-3a-and-3a-pro-official-with-snapdragon-7s-gen-3-essential-space/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nothing recently debuted</a> the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/nothing-phone-3a-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Phone (3a) Pro</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/nothing-phone-3a/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Phone (3a)</a>, its latest mid range series of smartphones globally. These pack some capable specs and a unique design element. But with their specs sheet being quite similar, here are all the aspects that set them apart from one another.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="722" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-series-at-MWC-1024x722.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-675669" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-series-at-MWC-1024x722.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-series-at-MWC-300x211.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-series-at-MWC-768x541.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-series-at-MWC-696x490.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-series-at-MWC-596x420.png 596w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-series-at-MWC-100x70.png 100w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-series-at-MWC.png 1063w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Nothing Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro</figcaption></figure></div>

<h3>Design</h3>

<p>One of the immediately noticeable differences between the duo is the design. From the front, they are practically identical with uniform slim bezels and a punch hole cutout. But from the back, the camera module is unique in both models. The Nothing Phone (3a) has a design that we are already familiar with as it resembles the older Phone (2a) with a horizontal camera layout.</p>

<p>But unlike the (2a), the successor has three cameras at the back with a transparent body that includes the Glyph LED interface which Nothing is known for. On the other hand, the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro has a notable redesign with a large circular camera island that houses the asymmetrically arranged cameras, including the more advanced telephoto sensor. The rest of the design remains similar with the Glyph LED positioning and transparent rear panel. For those who use an eSIM, they should note that only the higher end Pro model offers eSIM support.</p>

<h3>Camera</h3>

<p>Nothing introduced a telephoto shooter for the first time on the Phone (3a) series. However, this sensor is not the same across the lineup. Nothing&#8217;s Phone (3a) has a 50MP Samsung sensor with 2x optical zoom, 4x in-sensor zoom, and 30x hybrid zoom. Meanwhile, the Phone (3a) Pro packs a 50MP Sony periscope telephoto camera with a 3x optical zoom, 6x in-sensor zoom, and 60x hybrid zoom. </p>

<p>The latter also offers both OIS and EIS (Optical and Electronic Image Stabilization) compared to just EIS on the former. The primary camera is also a marginally larger 1/1.56” sensor (1/1.57” on the Phone 3a) but the main feature is the option for 2x zoomed shots on the Pro model. For selfies and video calls, the Phone (3a) Pro features a 50MP Samsung sensor and the Phone (3a) downgrades to a 32MP selfie shooter.</p>

<h3>Pricing &amp; Colors</h3>

<p>Nothing unveiled the Phone (3a) for a starting price tag of 24,999 INR for the 8GB + 128GB storage configuration. But for 5,000 INR more, you can buy the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro for 29,999 INR with the same storage variant. So there is a slight difference in pricing as well. The vanilla variant arrives in three color options, namely Black, White, and Blue. But its more expensive sibling is only offered in Gray and Black.</p>

<p>After nearly a month of teasers and speculation, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/nothing/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nothing</a> has officially unveiled the Phone (3a) series. The new line consists of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/nothing-phone-3a/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Phone (3a)</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/nothing-phone-3a-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Phone (3a) Pro</a>—two mid-range devices that share a lot in common, including the chipset, battery, and display.  But when it comes to design and cameras, the differences start to show. Here’s everything you need to know, including pricing and availability.</p>

<h2><strong>Nothing Phone (3a) / (3a) Pro Specs and Features</strong></h2>

<p>Both the Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro feature a 6.77-inch OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The touch sampling rate hits 480Hz during everyday use but jumps to 1000Hz in Gaming Mode for near-instant response times.</p>

<p>Brightness also gets a boost — full-screen brightness now reaches 1,300 nits (compared to 1,100 nits on the Phone (2a)), while peak brightness has jumped from 1,300 nits to 3,000 nits.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-design.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-675764" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-design.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-design-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-design-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-design-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-design-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /><figcaption>Nothing Phone (3a) Pro</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Under the hood, both devices pack the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, delivering a 33% boost in CPU performance and an 11% improvement in graphics over the Phone (2a), according to Nothing. To manage thermals, the phones come equipped with a 4500mm² vapor chamber, which the company claims reduces temperatures by 23%.</p>

<p>On the software side, Nothing OS 3.1, based on Android 15, keeps things clean and minimal. The update also brings improvements to the Gallery, Camera, and Weather apps. </p>

<p>What’s impressive is that Nothing is promising six years of Android updates and security patches for Phone (3a) series —double the commitment for the Phone (2a) and (2a) Plus.</p>

<p>The devices also bring a new feature called Essential Space. It can be triggered via a customizable button located under the power key. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="672" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Essential-Space-key.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-675773" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Essential-Space-key.jpg 672w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Essential-Space-key-300x268.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Essential-Space-key-470x420.jpg 470w" sizes="(max-width: 672px) 100vw, 672px" /></figure></div>

<p>By default, users can tap it once to quickly capture and send content to Essential Space, long-press to record a voice note, and double-tap to open the library of saved content.</p>

<p>The feature will be available as an early-access preview for Phone (3a) users, where they will also get a preview of upcoming features, including Camera Capture, Smart Collections, Focused Search, and Flip to Record.</p>

<p>A 5000mAh battery powers both models, supporting 50W wired charging.</p>

<h2><strong>Key Differences: Phone (3a) vs. Phone (3a) Pro</strong></h2>

<p>While both models share a lot under the hood, design and cameras set them apart.</p>

<p>The Phone (3a) borrows its look from the<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/nothing-phone-2a/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> Phone (2a)</a>, while the (3a) Pro debuts a fresh design language. The Pro model features a circular camera module with asymmetrically arranged lenses, while both models retain the transparent back and Glyph lighting.  The frames are also completely flat.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Design.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-675765" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Design.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Design-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Design-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Design-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Nothing-Phone-3a-Design-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>Cameras mark another key difference. The (3a) Pro packs a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 50MP periscope lens with 3x optical zoom, which can extend to 6x using TrueLens 3.0 and AI for enhanced image quality. Completing the setup is an 8MP ultrawide camera, while the front houses a 50MP selfie lens.</p>

<p>The Phone (3a) retains the same main and ultrawide cameras as the Pro but swaps the periscope for a 50MP 2x zoom lens. The selfie camera also gets a downgrade to 32MP.</p>

<h3><strong>Pricing and Availability</strong></h3>

<p>The Nothing Phone (3a) starts at ₹22,999, while the Phone (3a) Pro begins at ₹27,999 in India. Here’s the full pricing breakdown:</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/nothing-phone-3a-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pro variant</a> is said to start at Rs 31,999 for the 8GB/128GB model, followed by Rs 33,999 for the 8GB/256GB version and Rs 35,999 for the 12GB/256GB option. The report also suggests that a launch offer will include a Rs 2,000 bank discount.</p>

<h3><strong>What to Expect from the Nothing Phone (3a) Series</strong></h3>

<p>Starting with the design, both phones will feature a completely different look. The Phone (3a) builds on the design of Phone (2a), but the Phone (3a) Pro introduces a brand new aesthetic in Nothing’s product lineup.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-1024x1024.jpeg?x44794" alt="Nothing Phone (3a) Pro" class="wp-image-674787" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-1024x1024.jpeg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-300x300.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-150x150.jpeg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-768x768.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-1536x1536.jpeg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-2048x2048.jpeg 2048w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-696x696.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-1068x1068.jpeg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-1920x1920.jpeg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-420x420.jpeg 420w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Nothing Phone (3a) Pro</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Under the hood, both devices are rumored to pack Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. Up front, you’re looking at a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Panda Glass protection, and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Powering it all is a 5,000mAh battery, which reportedly charges fully in 56 minutes. As expected, the phones will run Android 15 with Nothing OS 3 out of the box.</p>

<p>The camera setup gets a reasonable split in hardware. Both models feature a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP ultrawide lens, but the Pro variant steps things up with a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom. The standard model, meanwhile, sticks with 2x zoom.</p>

<p>Nothing is also teasing a new feature called Essential Space. It appears to be tied to a dedicated button on the side of the phone, though the company hasn’t revealed exactly how it works just yet.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/nothing/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nothing</a> has always positioned itself as a disruptor in the smartphone space, leaning on bold aesthetics and a distinct visual language to stand out. With the Nothing Phone (3a) series, the brand has once again made a statement, this time by embracing a circular camera design, a format that has become increasingly common across the industry. However, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/02/21/leaked-renders-finally-reveal-nothing-phone-3a-and-phone-3a-pros-design/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nothing’s take on this trend</a> remains unique, thanks to its transparent design elements and the reworked Glyph interface.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-1024x1024.jpeg?x44794" alt="Nothing Phone (3a) Pro" class="wp-image-674787" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-1024x1024.jpeg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-300x300.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-150x150.jpeg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-768x768.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-1536x1536.jpeg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-2048x2048.jpeg 2048w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-696x696.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-1068x1068.jpeg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-1920x1920.jpeg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-Pro-1-420x420.jpeg 420w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<h3><strong>Familiar Yet Fresh Camera Design</strong></h3>

<p>The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro, the series’ highlight, marks the first time the brand has integrated a triple-camera setup into its devices. Unlike the horizontally stacked sensors seen on previous models, the Pro variant features an eye-catching circular camera module. The round, protruding camera island is a departure from Nothing’s past designs, where the lenses were arranged more subtly into the transparent back panel.</p>

<p>This change aligns with the broader industry shift towards circular camera housings, a trend seen in brands like <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/oneplus/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">OnePlus</a>, and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/vivo/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Vivo</a>. However, Nothing ensures it doesn’t blend in with the crowd.</p>

<p>The circular camera bump on the Phone (3a) Pro is embedded within the signature transparent design, revealing the structural details underneath, maintaining the raw, mechanical aesthetic that has become Nothing’s hallmark. The layout is more than just a visual choice, it accommodates a periscope telephoto lens for the first time in a Nothing phone, enhancing zoom capabilities while preserving the brand’s signature design ethos.</p>

<h3><strong>Refining the Transparent Aesthetic for the Future</strong></h3>

<p>The transparency element remains a defining factor in Nothing’s design language, giving users a glimpse of the internal engineering of their devices. With the Phone (3a) Pro, this concept is refined further. The redesigned Glyph interface now features more granular control, allowing for new interactions and improved functionality.</p>

<p>The back panel continues to sport a semi-transparent look but with better integration between the components and the lighting elements. The redesigned glyph lights surround the camera module in a way that subtly highlights the circular design, making it both functional and aesthetically cohesive.</p>

<p>Nothing’s commitment to balancing form and function is evident in how the design has evolved. The new fourth glossy button on the right side possibly a customizable action button adds an extra layer of usability, a feature reminiscent of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/apple/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Apple</a>’s Action Button on the iPhone.</p>

<p>The Pro variant’s periscope camera also posed a design challenge, as the module required more space than a conventional lens. Nothing&#8217;s designers had to find a way to fit it within their existing transparent framework without disrupting the sleek form factor.</p>

<p>While the Nothing Phone (3a) series continues the brand’s tradition of unconventional design, it also shows a willingness to adapt to industry trends in a way that aligns with its identity. The circular camera bump may not be groundbreaking in itself, but Nothing’s execution ensures it feels fresh and intentional.</p>

<p>With the upcoming launch, the Phone (3a) series reaffirms that Nothing isn’t just about aesthetics it’s about evolving a distinct design philosophy while keeping up with the demands of modern smartphone users.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/nothing/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nothing</a> is set to launch the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/01/27/nothing-confirms-new-smartphone-launch-on-march-4th-and-its-not-the-phone-3/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Phone (3a) series on March 4</a>, and ahead of the announcement, fresh leaks have surfaced detailing the camera setups of both models.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The lineup is expected to include two phones: the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/nothing-phone-3a/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nothing Phone (3a)</a> and the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/nothing-phone-3a-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nothing Phone (3a) Pro</a>, both of which will share a lot of common hardware but differ in their camera configurations.</p>

<p>Both models are expected to share a lot of the same core specs. That includes the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, a 6.72-inch AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance, and a 5,000 mAh battery. The primary camera setup will consist of a 50 MP main sensor and an 8 MP ultrawide, keeping things in line with previous Nothing phones.</p>

<ul><li><strong>Also Read: </strong><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/01/30/why-wait-for-nothing-phone-3a-series/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Why you should wait for Nothing Phone 3a series?</a></li></ul>

<h2><strong>Nothing Phone (3a) / (3a) Pro camera differences</strong></h2>

<p>The real difference, according to reports, will be in the third camera. For the first time, Nothing is adding a dedicated telephoto lens, but the implementation will vary across the two models.&nbsp;</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/20250128_1134501.jpg?x44794" alt="" /></figure></div>

<p>The standard Phone (3a) will reportedly have a 2x telephoto camera, while the Pro version is said to equip a more capable 3x optical zoom using Sony’s Lytia LYT-600 sensor—a 1/1.95&#8243; type sensor that recently appeared in the Realme 13 Pro+. This could give the Pro model a noticeable advantage in zoom shots and portrait photography.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Nothing may have just teased the camera design for the Phone (3a) series. In a cryptic tweet yesterday, the company shared images of dots arranged in two distinct layouts—one in a horizontal setup and another forming an L-shaped pattern. We’re not sure which design belongs to the Phone (3a) or the (3a) Pro, but the teaser suggests they won’t look identical.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/nothing/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nothing</a>, the London-based consumer tech company headed by Carl Pei, has announced that its upcoming <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/01/30/why-wait-for-nothing-phone-3a-series/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Phone 3a series </a>will be manufactured in India. This news comes as the company prepares to launch the new midrange handsets in both Indian and global markets in the coming weeks. The Phone 3a series will succeed the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/nothing-phone-2a/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Phone 2a</a> lineup released last year.  </p>

<p>The assembly will take place at Nothing’s manufacturing facility in Chennai, India. The company stated that the facility employs over 500 people and women make up 95 percent of the workforce. Nothing has not yet indicated whether units produced at the Chennai plant will be exported to other countries where the Phone 3a series will be sold.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>This announcement coincides with Nothing reporting significant growth. The company has sold over 7 million units globally and recently surpassed $1 billion in lifetime revenue. In India, the company has 7,000 retail stores and 300 service centers.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Nothing Phone (3a) series specs</strong></h2>

<p>While official specifications are yet to be released, reports suggest some details about the Phone 3a series. The series is expected to include the Phone 3a and a Phone 3a Pro model. Information on the Pro model remains limited. The Phone 3a is rumored to feature a 6.8-inch AMOLED display and be powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset.  </p>

<p>Camera capabilities are also rumored to be upgraded. The Phone 3a is expected to have a 50-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera. This is a notable addition compared to its predecessor. A 32-megapixel selfie camera is also anticipated.  </p>

<p>Powering the device is rumored to be a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. The Nothing Phone 3a series is expected to be available for purchase in India through Flipkart and select retail stores following its anticipated launch on March 4th. Further details regarding specifications, pricing, and availability are expected closer to the launch date.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/nothing/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nothing</a> is gearing up to launch its next mid-range smartphones, the Nothing Phone 3a and 3a Pro, on <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/01/27/nothing-confirms-new-smartphone-launch-on-march-4th-and-its-not-the-phone-3/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">March 4th</a>. As expected from <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/nothing/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nothing</a>, it has now started dropping subtle hints about what you can expect from upcoming phones. And its latest teaser suggests a feature that could set the 3a series apart from the competition — a dedicated camera button.</p>

<h2><strong>Camera button is the new trend</strong></h2>

<p>In a post on <a href="https://x.com/nothing/status/1886358075835105673" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">X</a>, Nothing shared an x-ray-style image of a phone with an extra button positioned just below the power button. The button appears shorter and wider than the others, accompanied by the cryptic caption: <em>“Your second memory, one click away.”</em> While Nothing doesn’t explicitly confirm its function, the tagline “one click away” subtly hints it could be a dedicated camera button.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-camera-button.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-671764" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-camera-button.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-camera-button-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-camera-button-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-camera-button-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/Nothing-Phone-3a-camera-button-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>We have seen the resurgence of camera buttons on quite a few smartphones already. Apple revived the concept with its<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/apple-iphone-16/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> iPhone 16</a> series in 2024, although user feedback was mixed due to its complex implementation. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oppo-find-x8-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Oppo’s Find X8 Pro</a> later brought a simpler, more intuitive version to Android devices. </p>

<p>Given Nothing’s focus on design and user experience, its approach could lean closer to Oppo’s, making for a more seamless and practical addition.</p>

<p>Beyond the camera button, leaks suggest that the Nothing Phone 3a will be powered by Qualcomm&#8217;s<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/08/20/qualcomm-snapdragon-7s-gen-3-specs-launch-device/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 </a>chipset and feature a 5,000 mAh battery. The devices are also expected to come with a new triple-camera setup, including a telephoto lens — a first for Nothing — and an updated glyph interface on the back.</p>

<p>Other rumored specs for the Phone 3a include a 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and support for 45W wired charging. For now, differences between the Pro and non-Pro models remain unclear, though Nothing may reveal more details in the lead-up to the launch.</p>

<h3>Nothing Phone (3a) Series: Capable Specs</h3>

<p>A <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/01/30/flipkart-confirms-nothing-phone-3a-series-launch-back-design-partially-revealed/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">recent leak</a> confirmed that the Nothing Phone (3a) will launch with a tall 6.8-inch OLED display. This is likely a flat pane with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the Phone (3a) could be equipped with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC, which could be paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. </p>

<p>Other notable features include a 5000mAh battery pack, 45W wired fast charging, and Android 15 OS based Nothing OS 3.1 custom skin out of the box. There is also the Phone (3a) Pro model in the works, which will likely offer slightly better specs. This may include a faster processor</p>

<h3>New Telephoto Camera</h3>

<p>One of the biggest upgrades in the next gen Nothing mid range phones is the triple camera setup on the back. Even with the last flagship model, the Nothing Phone (2), you only got two cameras on the back. It included a main and an ultra wide angle lens. </p>

<p>However, a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/01/30/flipkart-confirms-nothing-phone-3a-series-launch-back-design-partially-revealed/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">recent teaser </a>hinted at a triple camera setup, which was later seen in a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/01/30/nothing-phone-3a-phone-3a-pro-incoming-configurations-and-color-options-tipped/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">leaked live image</a> of the Phone (3a). Based on latest rumors, the Phone (3a) houses a 50MP main sensor that is paired with an 8MP ultra wide angle lens, and a 50MP telephoto shooter. The periscope sensor could offer 2x optical zoom, which would make it the first from the brand to offer lossless magnification.</p>

<h3>Unique Design</h3>

<p>It is not all about the specs with design also being a crucial aspect you consider when buying a smartphone and Nothing is a brand that stands out with its products. The Phone (3a) lineup is expected to launch with the same transparent body that blends a metal frame on the side and Glpyh LED lighting at the back. </p>

<p>This head-turning design is what the company is known for, which clearly stands out from the crowd. Nothing builds an experience different from its competitors that could be a refreshing choice for those who plan to buy a new smartphone soon.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/nothing/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nothing</a> has scheduled its next launch ev<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/01/28/nothing-phone-3a-launch-almost-officially-confirmed-via-landing-page-url/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">ent for March 4th</a>. That’s still a month away, but in typical Nothing fashion, the company is already dropping cryptic teasers to build the hype. </p>

<p>A new teaser courtesy of Flipkart confirms that <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/nothing/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nothing</a> is indeed planning to launch the Phone (3a) series in March. Initially, Nothing didn’t clarify whether it would unveil the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/01/30/nothing-phone-3a-phone-3a-pro-incoming-configurations-and-color-options-tipped/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Phone (3)</a> flagship or the (3a) series, but now it’s official — the spotlight is on the (3a) lineup.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="512" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Nothing-Phone-3a-series-launch-teaser.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-671195" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Nothing-Phone-3a-series-launch-teaser.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Nothing-Phone-3a-series-launch-teaser-300x171.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Nothing-Phone-3a-series-launch-teaser-768x437.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Nothing-Phone-3a-series-launch-teaser-696x396.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Nothing-Phone-3a-series-launch-teaser-738x420.jpg 738w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>Flipkart&#8217;s teaser also offers a glimpse of the design. The device features Glyph LED lights that partially encircle the camera module. The module itself remains horizontally aligned like its predecessors, but this time, it will sport three lenses.</p>

<h2><strong>Nothing Phone (3a) Series Specifications</strong></h2>

<p>In the upcoming lineup, Nothing is expected to unveil the Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro. The Phone (3a) will reportedly arrive in two configurations — 8/128GB and 12/256GB storage, with black and white color options.</p>

<p>The camera setup is expected to include a 50-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. On the front, it may house a 32-megapixel selfie camera.</p>

<p>The device is rumored to feature a massive 6.8-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it’s expected to pack the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip and a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. Out of the box, it could run Nothing OS 3.1 based on Android 15.</p>

<p>At present, there is no information available about the core specifications of the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro. However, a new report suggests it will come in a single configuration with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage and be available in grey and black color variants. We will keep you updated if any new information emerges.</p>

<p>Carl Pei’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/nothing/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nothing</a> has spent the last few years carving out a space in the crowded smartphone industry. It seems to have gained a strong following thanks to its distinct transparent design, clean software, and an ecosystem that feels refreshingly different.</p>

<p>In 2025, the company is set to expand its lineup with four new devices — the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/01/28/nothing-phone-3a-specs-leak/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nothing Phone (3a)</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/01/30/nothing-phone-3a-phone-3a-pro-incoming-configurations-and-color-options-tipped/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Phone (3a) Pro,</a> and the flagship <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/nothing-phone-3/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Phone (3)</a>. Each of these phones caters to a different segment, but the core philosophy of minimalism and transparency will likely remain unchanged. Here’s what we know so far.</p>

<h3><strong>Nothing Phone (3a)</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Nothing-Phone-2a-VS-OnePlus-Ace-3V_1.mp4_20240404_174758.840-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-616142" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Nothing-Phone-2a-VS-OnePlus-Ace-3V_1.mp4_20240404_174758.840-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Nothing-Phone-2a-VS-OnePlus-Ace-3V_1.mp4_20240404_174758.840-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Nothing-Phone-2a-VS-OnePlus-Ace-3V_1.mp4_20240404_174758.840-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Nothing-Phone-2a-VS-OnePlus-Ace-3V_1.mp4_20240404_174758.840-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Nothing-Phone-2a-VS-OnePlus-Ace-3V_1.mp4_20240404_174758.840-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Nothing-Phone-2a-VS-OnePlus-Ace-3V_1.mp4_20240404_174758.840-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Nothing-Phone-2a-VS-OnePlus-Ace-3V_1.mp4_20240404_174758.840-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Nothing-Phone-2a-VS-OnePlus-Ace-3V_1.mp4_20240404_174758.840.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>If the Nothing Phone (2a) was any indication, the upcoming Nothing Phone (3a) is expected to be a solid mid-range device that blends affordability with a design language that stands out. While Nothing has yet to reveal any details, but leaks and rumor suggest it will have:</p>

<ul><li><strong>Display:</strong> A 6.8-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, likely sticking to a flat-panel design.</li><li><strong>Chipset:</strong> Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, an upgrade over Dimensity 7200 Pro on the Phone (2a).</li><li><strong>Camera:</strong> A triple-camera system with a 50MP primary sensor, possibly paired with a 50MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom and an 8MP ultrawide sensor.</li><li><strong>Battery:</strong> 5000mAh with 45W fast charging.</li><li><strong>Glyph Interface:</strong> The signature LED-backed Glyph interface will likely return but with could be with fewer lighting elements to keep costs down.</li></ul>

<p>The Phone (3a) will be positioned as a mid-range alternative for users who want a Nothing device without the flagship price tag. The key selling point will remain its design, clean Android experience, and value-for-money hardware.</p>

<h3><strong>Nothing Phone (3a) Pro</strong></h3>

<p>Going by the name, the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro could be an entirely new addition to Nothing’s portfolio. But it’s also possible that it’s just a successor to the Phone (2a) Plus—just with a name change. After all, &#8220;Pro&#8221; sounds more marketable than &#8220;Plus,&#8221; right?</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Nothing-Phone-2a-Plus-Community-Edition-1024x576.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-659125" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Nothing-Phone-2a-Plus-Community-Edition-1024x576.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Nothing-Phone-2a-Plus-Community-Edition-300x169.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Nothing-Phone-2a-Plus-Community-Edition-768x432.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Nothing-Phone-2a-Plus-Community-Edition-1536x864.png 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Nothing-Phone-2a-Plus-Community-Edition-2048x1152.png 2048w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Nothing-Phone-2a-Plus-Community-Edition-696x392.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Nothing-Phone-2a-Plus-Community-Edition-1068x601.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Nothing-Phone-2a-Plus-Community-Edition-1920x1080.png 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Nothing-Phone-2a-Plus-Community-Edition-747x420.png 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>If that’s the case, the Phone (3a) Pro is likely to have specs that are almost identical to the Phone (3a). Both are rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip, but the Pro model could stand out with a periscope telephoto lens instead of the standard telephoto setup on the Phone (3a).</p>

<p>The Nothing Phone (3) is expected to be the company’s true successor to the Nothing Phone (2). If history is any guide, we can expect a mix of refinements rather than drastic overhauls. The Phone (3) will likely focus on better optimization, slightly improved hardware, and enhanced software features.</p>

<p><strong>Expected Features:</strong></p>

<ul><li><strong>Display:</strong> A 6.7-inch OLED panel with LTPO support, allowing a variable refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz for better battery efficiency.</li><li><strong>Chipset:</strong> Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, which is expected to bring significant improvements in AI processing and efficiency.</li><li><strong>Camera:</strong> A 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultrawide, and possibly a dedicated telephoto sensor.</li><li><strong>Battery:</strong> Around 5000mAh with 65W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.</li><li><strong>Software:</strong> Nothing OS 3.0, which will likely build on the company’s stock Android approach with minor UI tweaks and custom features.</li><li><strong>Build:</strong> Transparent glass back with an aluminum frame, possibly thinner bezels.</li><li><strong>Glyph Interface:</strong> Expanded functionality, possibly allowing more customization for notifications, ringtones, and third-party app integrations.</li></ul>

<p>If the Nothing Phone (3) sticks to this formula, it could serve as a solid competitor to devices like the OnePlus 13, Pixel 9, and Galaxy S25. It won’t be the most powerful flagship, but Nothing’s strength has always been in offering a unique experience rather than chasing spec sheets.</p>

<h3><strong>Where Nothing Stands in 2025</strong></h3>

<p>With these upcoming devices, Nothing is moving toward a more tiered approach—offering a budget-friendly option, a solid flagship, and a premium-tier Pro model. This strategy mirrors what brands like OnePlus, Samsung, and Apple have been doing for years, but with a distinct Nothing twist.</p>

<p>The challenge for Nothing will be differentiation. The Nothing Phone (1) stood out because of its unique Glyph interface and design. But as competition heats up, a transparent back and LED lights won’t be enough.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The company needs to refine its software experience, improve its camera tuning, and perhaps introduce deeper ecosystem integrations with its Nothing Ear and Nothing Watch products.</p>

<h3><strong>Should You Wait for a Nothing Phone in 2025?</strong></h3>

<p>If you&#8217;re already invested in the Nothing ecosystem or just appreciate a clean, near-stock Android experience with a distinctive design, the upcoming Nothing phones should be worth the wait.</p>

<p>The Nothing Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) could be great mid-range phones, while the Nothing Phone (3) will likely carry on the brand’s tradition of delivering a compelling mid-range flagship.</p>

<p>As always, pricing will be key. If Nothing can stay competitive, 2025 could be another big year for the company.</p>
