<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/Nothing/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nothing</a> has started rolling out the first software update for the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/nothing-phone-4a/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Phone (4a)</a>, just days after the device went on sale. The update is based on Nothing OS 4.1 and carries the build number B4.1-260309-1830, with a download size of 257MB. This update brings the March 2026 Android security patch along with several new features across the system, camera, and UI.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Nothing-Phone-4a.png?x44794" alt="Nothing Phone (4a)" class="wp-image-730033" width="662" height="662" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Nothing-Phone-4a.png 500w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Nothing-Phone-4a-300x300.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Nothing-Phone-4a-150x150.png 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Nothing-Phone-4a-420x420.png 420w" sizes="(max-width: 662px) 100vw, 662px" /></figure></div>

<p>The update introduces Breathing Break widgets in the widget drawer, offering guided exercises for relaxation. Live Updates now extend across the lock screen, notification panel, and Glyph Interface, allowing users to track real-time activity from supported apps like Google Maps. The status bar also shows a dedicated icon when Nothing headphones are connected. Compatibility for Live Updates depends on app support and region.</p>

<p>In the Glyph Interface, the Essential Notifications settings UI has been redesigned for better clarity. A new generative ringtone feature has been added, enabling custom sounds paired with unique Glyph lighting patterns for calls and notifications.</p>

<p>Nothing has also expanded its Essential AI tools. The widget drawer now includes a recommendation section for quicker access to Nothing Playground and AI-driven community content. The Essential Space interface has been updated with a cleaner layout, along with new “For You” and “Library” sections. A new Events feature helps organise tasks, and a search function has been added for faster navigation. Some of these features will require a separate update via Google Play.</p>

<p>Visual changes include a new lock screen clock face inspired by the Phone (3a) Community Edition, co-created with community member Jad Zock. Lock screen customisation now supports Depth effect in beta, along with adjustable clock sizes and alignment. The password screen now includes a wallpaper blur effect, and dual network signals are merged into a single status bar icon.</p>

<p>Camera improvements include new presets such as an India-exclusive “Cricket” watermark and an “Amber” portrait mode. Playground Sync allows one-tap preset imports, while power-saving recording dims the screen during idle video capture. Image processing has also been improved with better exposure, colour accuracy, and HDR.</p>

<p>The update also improves system stability, network performance, and fixes display issues. The device may heat up during installation, but it will return to normal after completion.</p>

<p>Both phones also feature redesigned rear lighting systems and arrive with Nothing OS 4.1 based on Android 16. Nothing is promising three major OS updates and six years of security patches, matching the support window offered by the previous generation.</p>

<p>Here’s how the two new models differ.</p>

<h2><strong>Nothing Phone (4a)</strong></h2>

<p>The Nothing Phone (4a) retains the simpler design of its <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/nothing-phone-3a/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">predecessor</a>. The phone features a pill-shaped rear camera module and a new lighting system called the Glyph Bar on the back.</p>

<p>Glyph Bar places LEDs in a straight strip across the back. The bar is divided into six segments and contains 63 LEDs, along with the red recording indicator. The lights can reach up to 3,500 nits of brightness in three different levels, which is about 40% higher than the previous generation.</p>

<p>Inside, the phone runs on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/08/20/snapdragon-7s-gen-4-launched/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 </a>chipset. While it technically succeeds the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 used previously, the performance improvement is relatively small—only about 7% per Nothing. It’s paired with 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.&nbsp;</p>

<p>On the front, it has a 6.78-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 1,224 × 2,720 pixels and supports a 120Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness climbs to 4,500 nits, and the screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Nothing-Phone-4a-Design.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-729640" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Nothing-Phone-4a-Design.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Nothing-Phone-4a-Design-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Nothing-Phone-4a-Design-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Nothing-Phone-4a-Design-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Nothing-Phone-4a-Design-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>Camera hardware is where the vanilla model slightly differs from the Pro. The main camera uses a 50-megapixel Samsung GN9 sensor with an f/1.88 lens and optical image stabilization. The rest of the camera setup mirrors the Pro model, including a 50MP 3.5x periscope telephoto lens, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 32MP front camera.</p>

<p>The body uses a plastic frame and measures 8.55mm thick. It carries an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance and features a 5,080mAh batterywith 50W wired charging support.</p>

<h3><strong>Price and availability</strong></h3>

<p>Pre-orders for the Nothing Phone (4a) start from today, and open sales will begin on March 13. The phone will be available through the <a href="https://nothing.tech/products/phone-4a?Colour=White&amp;Capacity=8%2B128GB" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">official website </a>and select retail partners. Here’s the price breakdown for EU, UK, and India:</p>

<ul><li>8/128GB: €350 / £350 / ₹32,000</li><li>8/256GB: €390 / ₹35,000&nbsp;</li><li>12/256GB: €430 / £400 /&nbsp; ₹38,000</li></ul>

<h2><strong>Nothing Phone (4a) Pro</strong></h2>

<p>Coming to the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro, the most visible change is the Glyph Matrix. It is a circular LED display on the back of the phone made up of 137 LEDs. While that’s fewer than the 489 LEDs used in the flagship Glyph Matrix seen on Nothing Phone (3), the new version is larger and brighter.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The circular area is also about 57 percent bigger, and the LEDs can reach up to 3,000 nits of brightness.&nbsp;</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Nothing-Phone-4a-Pro-Camera.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-729637" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Nothing-Phone-4a-Pro-Camera.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Nothing-Phone-4a-Pro-Camera-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Nothing-Phone-4a-Pro-Camera-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Nothing-Phone-4a-Pro-Camera-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Nothing-Phone-4a-Pro-Camera-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>The Pro also upgrades the build quality with a metal unibody design, replacing the plastic frame used on the standard model. Despite the metal switch, the phone remains relatively light and is slimmer at 7.95mm thick.</p>

<p>It carries an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance. Nothing says the phone can survive submersion in water up to 25cm for around 20 minutes.</p>

<p>Under the hood, the phone runs on the<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/15/snapdragon-7-gen-4-mobile-platform-launched/#:~:text=Snapdragon%207%20Gen%204%20Brings,and%20200MP%20Camera%20Support%20%2D%20Gizmochina" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4</a> processor. Compared to the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 used in the previous generation, the new chip promises around 27 percent faster CPU performance, 30 percent better graphics performance, and a significant 65 percent boost in AI tasks.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Nothing-Phone-4a-Pro-Launched.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-729638" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Nothing-Phone-4a-Pro-Launched.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Nothing-Phone-4a-Pro-Launched-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Nothing-Phone-4a-Pro-Launched-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Nothing-Phone-4a-Pro-Launched-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Nothing-Phone-4a-Pro-Launched-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>The device pairs the chip with 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. To maintain sustained performance, Nothing has added a 5,300mm² vapor chamber cooling system.</p>

<p>The display is also larger and faster than the one on the standard model. The phone features a 6.83-inch OLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1,260 × 2,800 pixels. Its peak brightness reaches 5,000 nits, and the panel uses 2,160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.</p>

<p>Camera hardware on the Pro includes a 50MP Sony Lytia 700C sensor for the main camera with optical image stabilization. The phone also includes a 50MP Samsung JN5 periscope camera offering 3.5x optical zoom, extendable to 7x using in-sensor zoom.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Nothing-Phone-4a-Pro-launch-specs-price.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-729636" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Nothing-Phone-4a-Pro-launch-specs-price.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Nothing-Phone-4a-Pro-launch-specs-price-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Nothing-Phone-4a-Pro-launch-specs-price-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Nothing-Phone-4a-Pro-launch-specs-price-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Nothing-Phone-4a-Pro-launch-specs-price-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>The ultra-wide camera remains unchanged from the previous model with an 8MP Sony IMX355 sensor and a 120-degree field of view. On the front, the phone uses a 32MP selfie camera.</p>

<p>Like the standard model, the Pro includes a 5,080mAh battery with support for 50W wired charging.</p>

<h3><strong>Price and availability</strong></h3>

<p>Pre-orders for the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro begin on March 13, with open sales starting on March 27. Surprise, surprise, it will also be available in the US. Here’s the pricing breakdown for EU, UK, India, and the US:</p>

<p>With the Nothing Phone (4a) series set to launch on March 5, the company has now confirmed at least one important detail: the new phones will run on Qualcomm&#8217;s Snapdragon chipsets.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HBgy_hLbUAYJ3sa-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-727708" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HBgy_hLbUAYJ3sa-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HBgy_hLbUAYJ3sa-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HBgy_hLbUAYJ3sa-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HBgy_hLbUAYJ3sa-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HBgy_hLbUAYJ3sa-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HBgy_hLbUAYJ3sa-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HBgy_hLbUAYJ3sa-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HBgy_hLbUAYJ3sa.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Nothing Phone (4a) series chipset teaser</figcaption></figure>

<p>The confirmation came via a teaser post on X, where <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/nothing/">Nothing</a> shared an image featuring the Snapdragon logo and made it clear that both the Phone (4a) and the Phone (4a) Pro will use Qualcomm silicon. That continues the trend from the Phone (3a) series, which used the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. What hasn’t been confirmed yet is which Snapdragon chip we’re getting this time.</p>

<h2>Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 looks likely</h2>

<p>Leaks and benchmark listings strongly suggest that at least the base model could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. The chip is built on a 4nm process and features a Cortex-A720 prime core clocked at 2.7GHz, alongside additional performance and efficiency cores, paired with an Adreno GPU.</p>

<p>On paper, it should deliver modest performance and efficiency gains over the previous generation, nothing dramatic, but enough to keep the (4a) competitive in the mid-range segment.</p>

<p>As for the Pro variant, things are less clear. Some reports suggest it could use the same 7s Gen 4, while others hint at a step up, possibly a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4.</p>

<p>Beyond the processor, both models are rumored to share some core specs. A 5,400mAh battery with 50W wired charging is expected across the lineup, along with a 50MP telephoto camera offering 3.5x optical zoom.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="602" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Nothing-Phone-4a-Glpyh-Bar-teaser-1024x602-1.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-727709" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Nothing-Phone-4a-Glpyh-Bar-teaser-1024x602-1.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Nothing-Phone-4a-Glpyh-Bar-teaser-1024x602-1-300x176.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Nothing-Phone-4a-Glpyh-Bar-teaser-1024x602-1-768x452.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Nothing-Phone-4a-Glpyh-Bar-teaser-1024x602-1-696x409.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Nothing-Phone-4a-Glpyh-Bar-teaser-1024x602-1-714x420.png 714w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Nothing Phone (4a) Glyph Bar</figcaption></figure>

<p>Where they may differ more noticeably is in the rear lighting setup. The standard Phone (4a) is confirmed to feature a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/02/20/nothing-phone-4a-glyph-bar-teaser/">simplified “Glyph Bar”</a> with nine individually controlled LEDs for cleaner lighting effects. The Pro model, meanwhile, could adopt a more advanced “Glyph Matrix” system, potentially inspired by the higher-end Phone (3) and its expanded rear lighting interface.</p>

<p>With the launch scheduled for March 5 (4 PM IST in India), we won’t have to wait much longer for official confirmation. For now, the real question is how much separation the Pro model will get, and whether the chipset choice brings a noticeable jump over last year’s (3a).</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/nothing/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nothing </a>has taken a key step in its rollout strategy for the upcoming Phone (4a) series by confirming Flipkart availability ahead of the official launch on 5th March 2026. A dedicated Flipkart microsite for the new mid-range lineup is already live, and likely includes both the Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro.</p>

<h2>Nothing Phone (4a) Series Launching Via Flipkart</h2>

<p>To recall, all Nothing products have been sold online via Flipkart, which is one of the leading e-commerce platforms in the region. So it is no surprise that the Nothing Phone (4a) series continues the trend. While the microsite itself doesn’t show pricing or full specs yet, the listing does hint that the pre-orders and first sale could go live soon. </p>

<p>Based on what we know so far, the Nothing Phone (4a) is set to be equipped with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC, which might be coupled with 12GB of RAM. A sizeable 5,080mAh battery pack could power this model, which likely supports 50W wired fast charging. This model likely runs on the Android 16 OS based Nothing OS custom skin out of the box. Other notable features include up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, an IP65 rating for water and dust resistance, and possibly two color variants (black and white). </p>

<p>We can expect Nothing&#8217;s signature transparent aesthetic to make a return, along with an evolving Glyph LED lighting system. On the front, the Nothing Phone (4a) series is expected to offer a smooth display with up to a 144Hz refresh rate. For photography, the rear may have a triple camera setup, just like its predecessor. </p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/nothing/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nothing</a> has begun setting the stage for its next midrange phones. The company recently confirmed the Phone (4a) series <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/01/29/nothing-phone-4-not-launching-2026-phone-4a-series-confirmed/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">through CEO Carl Pei</a>, and shortly after that, it teased <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/02/09/nothing-teases-vibrant-color-options-for-phone-4a-and-headphone-a/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">new color options</a>. Now, the standard Nothing Phone (4a) has appeared on Geekbench ahead of the launch. </p>

<h2><strong>Nothing Phone (4a) Geekbench</strong></h2>

<p>The benchmark reveals that the Phone (4a) will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, just a step up from the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 on its predecessor.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The chip features an octa-core CPU setup with one core clocked at 2.71GHz, three cores at 2.40GHz, and four efficiency cores running at 1.80GHz. Meanwhile, graphics duties are handled by the Adreno 810 GPU. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Nothing-Phone-4a-Geekbench-with-Snapdragon-7s-Gen-3.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" width="286" height="600" data-id="726814" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Nothing-Phone-4a-Geekbench-with-Snapdragon-7s-Gen-3.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-726814" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Nothing-Phone-4a-Geekbench-with-Snapdragon-7s-Gen-3.jpg 286w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Nothing-Phone-4a-Geekbench-with-Snapdragon-7s-Gen-3-143x300.jpg 143w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Nothing-Phone-4a-Geekbench-with-Snapdragon-7s-Gen-3-200x420.jpg 200w" sizes="(max-width: 286px) 100vw, 286px" /></a></figure>
</figure>

<p>Moreover, the tested unit on Geekbench comes with 12GB of RAM. But of course, Nothing may offer lower RAM variants at launch. Software-side is handled by Android 16 out of the box.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As for the benchmark score, the Phone (4a) ran the AI benchmark with a single-precision score of 707, a high-precision score of 1077, and a 1265 quantized score.&nbsp;</p>

<p>At this point, Geekbench results don’t tell the whole story. They don’t reveal anything about the display, camera system, battery size, or charging speeds. But they do confirm that Nothing is sticking with a capable midrange chip and pairing it with a relatively high amount of RAM.</p>

<p>The Phone (4a) will launch with the (4a) Pro and even an affordable pair of headphones, called the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/02/02/nothing-headphone-a-leak-launch-price-features/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Headphone (a)</a>. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/ac93ef2461a3b2a2481bebdbb9401c0aabca2ab3-3840x2160-1-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="" /></figure></div>

<p>Unfortunately, though, there’s talk of a price increase this time around. Previous reports suggest upcoming Nothing phones could be 30% more expensive due to the ongoing DRAM shortage.&nbsp;</p>

<p>We will know more when the device launches. Speaking of which, the new products are expected to launch in March, though Nothing hasn’t officially confirmed the date yet.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/nothing/">Nothing</a> seems ready to have a little more fun with its next round of products. In a recent teaser, the company hinted that both the upcoming <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/01/27/nothing-phone-4a-uae-tdra-certification-launch-specs-price/">Nothing Phone (4a)</a> and Nothing Headphone (a) could arrive in five different colors. That’s a noticeable shift from the more limited white-and-black approach we saw with the (3a) series, and it suggests the brand may be leaning harder into personality this time around.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="506" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HAtQWgbaUAAf52O-1.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-726420" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HAtQWgbaUAAf52O-1.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HAtQWgbaUAAf52O-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HAtQWgbaUAAf52O-1-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HAtQWgbaUAAf52O-1-696x391.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/HAtQWgbaUAAf52O-1-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /><figcaption>Nothing teases color options for Phone (4a) and Headphone (a)</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The teaser itself is simple but clever. It forms the familiar “(a)” branding using dots in five colors: white, black, pink, yellow, and blue. It doesn’t explicitly confirm which product gets which shade, but it’s clear that color is going to be part of the story.</p>

<p>According to a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/02/02/nothing-headphone-a-leak-launch-price-features/">previous report</a>, the Headphone (a) could launch in white, black, pink, and yellow. That leaves blue as the likely standout option for the Phone (4a), possibly giving the mid-range device its own distinct look instead of overlapping entirely with the headphones.</p>

<p>Compared to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/nothing-phone-3a/">Nothing Phone (3a)</a> lineup, which mostly stuck to safe tones, this would be a more expressive direction. It feels intentional.</p>

<p>As for specs, details are still limited, but there are a few expectations floating around. The Phone (4a) is rumored to feature a refreshed design, improved IP rating for better water and dust resistance, and upgraded internals. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s-series chip has been <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/12/11/nothing-phone-4a-series-specs-price-and-colors-leak-nothing-headphone-a-also-surfaces/">mentioned</a>, alongside 12GB RAM and 256GB storage in at least one configuration.</p>

<p>There’s also talk of a price increase, possibly up to 30% higher than the previous model, reportedly tied to ongoing DRAM pricing pressures. Whether that sticks will likely depend on how component costs look closer to launch.</p>

<p>On the audio side, the Headphone (a) appears positioned as a more affordable alternative to the Nothing Headphone (1), which currently sits in the premium bracket. The new model is rumored to land around €159 and could include active noise cancellation, transparency mode, and even LDAC support.</p>

<p>Both devices are expected to launch in March, though Nothing hasn’t officially confirmed the date yet.<br><br></p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/nothing/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nothing </a>appears to be gearing up for the release of its next mid-range smartphone series. The Nothing Phone (4a) and Nothing Phone (4a) Pro have just surfaced in another leak, which has hinted at their release being right around the corner. So here&#8217;s what we know.</p>

<h2>Nothing Phone (4a) &amp; Phone (4a) Pro Could Be Just Weeks Away</h2>

<p>According to a known tipster <a href="https://x.com/heyitsyogesh/status/2018586011312541981" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><em>Yogesh Brar</em></a>, the brand might be planning an early March release for its new mid-range duo. He also shared a tentative global launch date, which is 5th March 2026. So the affordable devices could be just a month away from their official announcement. This launch strategy would mirror last year’s timing for the Phone (3a) series, which debuted around the same time last year, and helped Nothing solidify its presence in the mid-range segment.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="768" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/1764360545-786470-output-header-1024x768.jpg?x44794" alt="Nothing Phone 3a and Phone 3a Pro OS 4.0" class="wp-image-717179" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/1764360545-786470-output-header-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/1764360545-786470-output-header-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/1764360545-786470-output-header-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/1764360545-786470-output-header-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/1764360545-786470-output-header-696x522.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/1764360545-786470-output-header-1068x801.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/1764360545-786470-output-header-560x420.jpg 560w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/1764360545-786470-output-header-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/1764360545-786470-output-header-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/1764360545-786470-output-header.jpg 1653w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Nothing Phone (3a) and Nothing Phone (3a) Pro</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>In a recent announcement, Nothing confirmed that there will be <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/01/29/nothing-phone-4-not-launching-2026-phone-4a-series-confirmed/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">no Phone (4) flagship model</a> launching this year, but has already confirmed the Phone (4a) lineup. This might be indicative of the brand&#8217;s focus on enhancing the 4a series with meaningful upgrades in design and performance. In the tweet, the tipster did reveal some of these updates, including a faster UFS 3.1 storage instead of the older UFS 2.2, which should result in faster app load times and improved responsiveness.</p>

<p>Both variants are also likely to use Snapdragon 7 series chipsets, although the exact models have yet to be confirmed. This should offer capable performance for day-to-day use and efficient power management. Nothing could bring a marginal battery capacity bump in both models. Apart from this, the upcoming devices are expected to get a refreshed design and a higher price tag.</p>

<p>Nothing has been reserved with its flagship launches from the beginning. For example, the Phone (3) arrived after a two-year gap following the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/nothing-phone-2/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Phone (2)</a>. The company is basically replicating the same strategy with its next flagship.</p>

<p>That said, this does not mean there will be no new phone launches this year. Carl Pei confirmed that Nothing will introduce the Phone (4a) series, which will bring upgrades in the following areas:</p>

<ul><li>materials</li><li>design</li><li>display</li><li>camera</li><li>and more</li></ul>

<p>The video also talks about software, particularly Essential Space. According to Pei, users will be able to create their own widgets via it. The feature is currently in alpha testing and is expected to move to the beta stage soon. You can check out the video below for more details:</p>

The device will feature a 5,080mAh battery paired with 50W fast charging. It has also been certified by India’s BIS under the model number A069P.</p>
