Huawei will be unveiling the Nova 10 series of smartphones on July 4 in China. The series includes two devices, namely the Nova 10 and the Nova 10 Pro. A fresh leak has revealed all the major specs of the Nova 10 duo.

Huawei Nova 10 specifications

The Nova 10 will measure 162.18 x 73.91 x 6.88mm and weigh around 168 grams. It will be equipped with a 6.67-inch OLED display that offers a Full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 778G 4G mobile platform.

It will be available in two variants, such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. It will pack a 4,000mAh battery that carries support for 66W charging. The device will come preinstalled with HarmonyOS 2.

For selfies, it will come with a 60-megapixel camera on the front. Its back panel will have a 50-megapixel main camera with an f/1.9 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a depth sensor..

Huawei Nova 10 Pro specifications

The Nova 10 Pro will be similar in size and weight, measuring 164.23 x 74.45 x 7.88mm and weighing 198 grams.It will feature the same 6.67-inch OLED panel that produces 1,200 x 2,652 pixels resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. However, the device is equipped with a pill-shaped cutout for the dual selfie camera setup. The smartphone will be driven by the Snapdragon 778G 4G chipset.

The Pro model will also arrive in two configurations: 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. It will house a bigger 4,500mAh battery with 100W charging.

The dual selfie camera setup of the Nova 10 Pro includes a 60-megapixel main ultra-wide camera and an 8-megapixel portrait lens. Its rear camera setup will feature a 50-megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a depth sensing unit.

The Nova 10 and Nova 10 Pro are equipped with an in-screen fingerprint scanner, and they will come in four colors: silver, black, purple, and green. Yesterday, Huawei had just announced that the company will be launching the Huawei Nova 10 series of mid-range smartphones in the Chinese market on July 4th next week. And as we approach nearer to the launch, leaks and rumours have already started to appear for Huawei’s next smartphone offering in the market.

Famous technology tipster, Digital Chat Station, has once again taken to the Chinese social media site, Weibo to share insider details of the Huawei Nova 10 Pro to the public. 

In their Weibo posts today, they seem to be extremely excited about the 100W wired fast charging that will be featured on the higher-end Huawei Nova 10 Pro. Huawei claims that their 100W wired charging will be able to fully charge the 4,500 mAh cell in the Nova 10 Pro in only 20 minutes, which rivals other manufacturers like Xiaomi, Realme and OnePlus at a much lower voltage.

The leakster also shared several specifications of the upcoming Huawei Nova 10 series. He states that the Huawei Nova 10 Pro will be equipped with a 6.78-inch 120Hz dual-curved waterfall AMOLED display, with a resolution of 2652 * 1200 pixels and a pill-shaped punch hole at the top left corner of the device. 

Cameras-wise, the Nova 10 Pro will have a triple rear camera setup at the back with a 50MP RYYB large main sensor + 8MP ultrawide + Advanced Depth Sensor, and its two selfie cameras at the front will feature a flagship-grade dual camera setup with a 60MP main lens + 8MP portrait telephoto lens. 

The device will be running on the 4G version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC, and it measures 7.88mm in thickness and 191 grams in weight.

As for the standard Huawei Nova 10, DIgital Chat Station shares that the Nova 10 will sport a 6.67-inch centred punch-hole flat AMOLED display instead, with a resolution of 2400 * 1080 pixels. The processor under the hood was not mentioned but we do know that the vanilla Nova 10 has a 4000mAh battery cell with 66W fast charging. The device is slimmer than its Pro sibling at 6.88mm and is much lighter at 168 grams.

Yesterday, popular tipster OnLeaks released the first renders of the Nova 10 Pro. Today, Huawei has officially confirmed that the smartphone will be announced on July 4. At the same time, multiple sources have released some more images of the Nova 10 Pro.

Huawei Nova 10 Pro specifications, design

As can be seen, the Huawei Nova 10 Pro features a 6.7-inch OLED display with curved edges on the front. It will probably have support for a 120Hz refresh rate. Like last year’s Nova 9 Pro, the Nova 10 Pro features a pill-shaped cutout for dual front-facing cameras in the upper-left corner. The machine-translated text by Digital Chat Station’s Weibo post reveals that the Nova 10 Pro is equipped with a “60-megapixel front-facing dual-focus camera.” In addition, the screen seems to be integrated with a fingerprint scanner.

The rear side of the Nova 10 Pro features a vertical triple camera unit. The silver-colored variant of the device has golden accents. It is equipped with a 50-megapixel RYYB main camera sensor. The configurations of the other two rear cameras are not known.

A Snapdragon chipset without 5G support will power the Nova 10 Pro. The device is expected to carry support for 100W charging. The other details of the smartphone are yet to be confirmed. Earlier this month, two Huawei devices with model numbers NCO-AL00 and GLA-AL00 were approved by the 3C authority of China. The 3C listings reveal that these devices may ship with a 66W and a 100W charger, respectively. Speculations are rife that the NCO-AL00 model could be the vanilla Nova 10 and the GLA-AL00 variant could be its Pro version. Even though the company has only said that the Pro model exists, it is likely that the vanilla model will also be made official on July 4.
