<h2><strong>Nubia Air Specifications&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>The Nubia Air carries a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The screen also reaches an eye-catching 4,500 nits peak brightness and comes protected with Gorilla Glass 7i.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="536" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Nubia-Air-Design-1024x536.jpg?x23692" alt="" class="wp-image-705418" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Nubia-Air-Design-1024x536.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Nubia-Air-Design-300x157.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Nubia-Air-Design-768x402.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Nubia-Air-Design-696x364.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Nubia-Air-Design-1068x559.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Nubia-Air-Design-803x420.jpg 803w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Nubia-Air-Design.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>The display feels flagship-level, but Nubia has cut costs on performance. Inside, the phone runs on an entry-level Unisoc T8300 chip, paired with 8GB of RAM (virtually expandable by another 12GB) and 256GB of storage. </p>

<p>The camera setup on the device includes a 50-megapixel main shooter supported by EIS and joined by two secondary sensors. The front has a 20-megapixel selfie camera. Nubia has also packed in plenty of AI-powered tricks, like AI Super Night, HDR, VLOG mode, Magic Editor, and Magic Eraser, for people who like editing on the go.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="536" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Nubia-Air-Durability-1024x536.jpg?x23692" alt="" class="wp-image-705419" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Nubia-Air-Durability-1024x536.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Nubia-Air-Durability-300x157.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Nubia-Air-Durability-768x402.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Nubia-Air-Durability-696x364.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Nubia-Air-Durability-1068x559.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Nubia-Air-Durability-803x420.jpg 803w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Nubia-Air-Durability.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>What’s surprising is how rugged this thin device claims to be. The Nubia Air has IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, meaning it’s protected against dust, water, and even high-pressure sprays. It also includes AI tools for real-time translation during calls, face-to-face conversations, and even AI noise and echo cancellation to improve call clarity.</p>

<p>Powering everything is a 5,000mAh battery, though Nubia hasn’t shared details on charging speeds yet.</p>

<h2><strong>Nubia Air Price and Specifications</strong></h2>

<p>The Nubia Air is priced at $279 (around Rs. 24,600) for the 8GB + 256GB variant. The sales will begin in Europe this month, followed by Southeast Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and more regions later this year. Color options include Titanium Black, Streamer Black, and Titanium Desert.</p>

<p>There have been reports that <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/nubia">Nubia</a> is working on a slim phone called the Nubia Air. Recently, reliable tipster Evan Blass shared a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/08/07/nubia-air-leak-suggests-bold-imitation-of-apples-iphone-17-air-or-a-return-to-its-roots/">schematic of the phone</a> to reveal its design for the first time. Speculations are rife that its design is quite similar to the upcoming iPhone 17 Air. Now, the tipster is back with a new leak that includes an official render and a specs sheet, revealing everything about the Nubia Air before its launch.</p>

<h3><strong>Nubia Air design</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="832" height="672" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Nubia-Air-render.png?x23692" alt="Nubia Air render" class="wp-image-700692" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Nubia-Air-render.png 832w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Nubia-Air-render-300x242.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Nubia-Air-render-768x620.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Nubia-Air-render-696x562.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Nubia-Air-render-520x420.png 520w" sizes="(max-width: 832px) 100vw, 832px" /><figcaption>Nubia Air render by Evan Blass</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The above image showcases the Nubia Air in a champagne gold finish, featuring a minimalist yet modern design. The front features a punch-hole display surrounded by thin bezels, and its back houses a Google Pixel phone-like horizontal camera module with three lenses, an LED flash, and a red-colored sensor.</p>

<p>On the bottom, there’s a USB Type-C port, a speaker grille, a microphone, and a SIM tray, while the top includes a secondary microphone. While the left side is barren, its right edge is equipped with a volume rocker and an unknown, red-colored power button. Shown above is a real-life image of the phone shared by the tipster.</p>

<p>As <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/apple/">Apple</a> prepares to unveil its ultra-slim iPhone 17 Air this September, a surprising new contender has entered the conversation. The &#8220;Nubia Air&#8221;, an unannounced smartphone from ZTE’s sub-brand <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/nubia/">Nubia</a>, has surfaced in a leak that shows off a design strikingly similar to Apple’s upcoming model — enough to raise eyebrows. But a closer look reveals a more nuanced story.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="738" height="594" data-id="700250" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/csm_Nubia_Air2_7370d764ba.jpg?x23692" alt="" class="wp-image-700250" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/csm_Nubia_Air2_7370d764ba.jpg 738w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/csm_Nubia_Air2_7370d764ba-300x241.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/csm_Nubia_Air2_7370d764ba-696x560.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/csm_Nubia_Air2_7370d764ba-522x420.jpg 522w" sizes="(max-width: 738px) 100vw, 738px" /><figcaption>Nubia Air</figcaption></figure>

<p>A fresh leak from tipster <em><a href="https://x.com/evleaks/status/1952284782416601177">Evan Blass</a></em> reveals the Nubia Air in what appears to be marketing material or internal documentation. The phone features a sleek, minimalist rear panel with a pill-shaped camera module — a main sensor on the left, LED flash on the right — and a small rectangular zone below that may house the NFC chip. It’s a layout that mirrors the iPhone 17 Air’s rumored design almost exactly.</p>

<h2>A deeper look reveals a twist</h2>

<p>At first glance, the similarities are hard to ignore. But dig a little deeper, and the story gets more interesting. Back in the day, ZTE — Nubia’s parent company — released a phone called the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2013/11/06/zte-grand-s-flex-hit-european-market/">ZTE Grand S Flex</a>, which sported a very similar rear design. The camera placement, module shape, and even the lower section of the back panel evoke strong parallels to what we’re seeing in both the Nubia Air and iPhone 17 Air leaks.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="500" height="320" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/zte-grand-s-flex.jpg?x23692" alt="" class="wp-image-700251" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/zte-grand-s-flex.jpg 500w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/zte-grand-s-flex-300x192.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /><figcaption>ZTE Grand S Flex from 2013</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>This raises the possibility that Nubia may not be blatantly copying Apple, but instead reviving and refining one of its past designs. Whether it’s a coincidence or a strategic move to preempt Apple’s narrative, the resemblance to the older Grand S Flex adds a layer of credibility — and perhaps even originality — to Nubia’s effort.</p>

<p>The Nubia Air’s front does break from Apple’s rumored design. Instead of a notch or Dynamic Island, the phone appears to feature a centered punch-hole camera — paired with an under-display fingerprint sensor.</p>

<p>There’s no official word yet on specs or pricing, but if the Nubia Air follows typical Nubia and ZTE strategy, it will likely target cost-conscious markets — and undercut the iPhone 17 Air’s rumored $899 starting price.</p>
